On the contact activity it tells you when an invoice reminder was sent but what would be really useful from a contact relations POV would be to be able to click that interaction and view the email so that you could screenshot/resend it to a client who says they didn't receive it. For example I have one saying at the moment they never received the reminder but did the one after and the one before? Odd? Proving the amount, email it went to etc would be a useful "told you so" if you know what I mean.

  4. In February this year, all suplier invoices that were supposed to be marked 30 days, got moved to due in March and not end Feb due to the 28 days, This needs to be changed as an exception as there will never be 30 days in Feb.

  6. Export a file that collates all invoices for each contact, to be uploaded to your bank to run customer direct debits. The same as you can do for bill payments. We currently use UCollect for $360pa, if anyone has any other ideas for this simple task -while Xero is working on building it ;) ...I'd love to hear them, TIA.

  7. Present fx translation to any currency of choice on the face of a sales invoice, instead of being limited to the base currency only. As required by various local VAT authorities, the sale value & VAT must be shown in local currency - which can differ to the invoice currency.

    Example: a business invoices in GBP or USD, but must charge UAE VAT and therefore present fx translation to AED on the face of their sales invoices. This is not currently possible using the standard or advanced templates.

  9. When entering invoices and the account is always "sales" (for example), I would like the option to set up invoices to automatically use the "sales" account? It is currently only an option by setting up item codes and/or setting up through contacts. I would like to see it automatically assign the account at the time of entering the invoice, instead of having to type in an item code. It will save so much more time and avoid errors by users selecting an incorrect account from the chart of accounts.

  11. It would be great if Xero can change the PDF format of partner monthly subscription invoices by customer rather than subscription type.

    This way the PDF can be forwarded to our Xero Blue practice file as a draft bill and hopefully the AI will extract each customer subscription as a separate line item within the bill so we an easily assign each line as an expense to each individual client.

    Then the billable expenses will come through correctly when we raise sales invoices in XPM that integrate with our Xero Blue practice file as a draft invoice.

  13. After years of using Xero and the majority of our invoices each month being repeat ones, I am increasingly frustrated with the lack of the most basic features for repeating invoices.

    Combined, there are thousands of upvotes for the most basic features, most of which have been submitted years ago. And seem to go totally ignored by the Xero team.

    I've listed just a few of these incredibly basic features below:

    Sorry to hear your frustration here, Bee. I want to assure you that our product teams pay close attention to the ideas shared by our customers in product ideas here and regularly review to incorporate customer driven changes into our development.

  14. When creating an Invoice from a quote within Projects, the newly created invoice does not retain any connection to the Project that the quote is linked to. This is very annoying and time-consuming - as the only way to then link the Invoice to the Project is to manually select and assign every individual line item, one by one and map them against the project. Surely this is an easy fix to keep an Invoice linked to a project as the quote was? Why would you disassociate an invoice from a project that it directly relates to??

  15. To be able to view at a glance the 'period taken from a customer to pay invoices' from the Due Date to when the funds have reached the supplier's bank account. This is instead of exporting the Xero report in an excel sheet and then adding a formula to calculate the difference between the two dates. Surely with all the information already stored in the Xero account, this option shouldn't be too difficult to add. Thank you.

  16. Currently expense reports are not fit for purpose. You can't even order non-approved expenses by date or export them.

    You need to be able to order unapproved expenses by date and by project/customer.

    You need to be able to add description and project/customer information into the expense claims report.

    Xero is **** at expense management frankly and with a few minor changes could be so much better. I should get a refund on my subscription for the wasted time.

    Sorry to hear your're not satisfied with Xero Expenses, Jeremy. Appreciate there are a few things that you've noted that you feel could enhance your experience when using expenses. 

    We do try to keep one idea per thread to make it simple for community to understand what they're adding their support and to help share this back with our product teams. I've adjusted the title of your idea here to reflect exporting expenses. We have an idea for changing the sort order here, and  you're welcome to start new ideas for any other points you've shared too. 

  17. One of our customers requires the PDF invoice with zero due AFTER the payment has been applied. If I forget to mark "Sent" before applying payment, Xero will not allow this box to be checked, and I have to remove all payments, mark sent, then enter payments and credit applications again. Since we use the "sent" feature to cross check that we have submitted invoices, this is important. There should be no reason this is not editable after payments; and there are additional features that can't be edited after payments as well, that used to be editable in the old …

    Hi Margie, appreciate you have a slightly different use for Mark as sent than it's designed for. While we don't have any plans for enabling this check box once payment is applied, you could Email the invoice(even to yourself) which will mark it as sent.

  19. I would like to submit a feature request for the Statement of Account (SOA) report. Currently, the SOA allows for downloading the entire account summary for a contact, but it lacks the ability to filter and download specific invoices based on types or any other granular filtering or customization.

    For example, in my organization, clients sometimes use multiple revenue streams. Invoices are categorized by these revenue streams. There are instances where my clients only need the SOA for one particular revenue stream.

  20. We are a retail business. 15 companies and 65 shops across Australia. We currently have 285 different suppliers from whom we buy multiple items without creating purchase order as we order them on phone or online portal. We have Xero just to maintain supplier payments only.
    Now, many suppliers send us periodic invoices means one invoice for multiple deliveries.
    therefore, if we can enter delivery dockets header data only in bills to pay section just for records purpose we can track deliveries and assign them to Invoice once it arrives just like credit notes.
