    Hi team, appreciate not exactly what's being asked here but to confirm what's available at present. 

    In the Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss you can now show Account code through the More option. From here, use the layout editor to drag & drop accounts to the order you'd like. 

    Once set up deselect the option to show Account code and your ordering will remain while the codes are not shown within the report. 

    You can also Save as custom so you can then access this layout anytime you need. 

    To go deeper with the insights for our team here, it's be good to know the specific reports you're wanting to see this feature in. 

  2. Ability to have multiple online payment options in one Invoice.

    Purpose: The receiver of invoices will have more options on how they’re going to pay the invoices.

    Thanks for your engagement on this, everyone. Our improvements to the way you manage your online payment methods in Xero, have now been released to all users.

    With the new flow you can easily set up and access differing payment methods to your customers when sending invoices. With ability to choose to enable or disable the payment options you want to offer, you have more control. You can add multiple payment methods to an invoice(like Stripe and a connected app), giving your customers more choice in how they pay, so you can get paid on time.

  4. Currently, you are able to pull the Contact Transactions Summary and ledger for only one contact at a time.

    If you can add the ability to pull more than one contact's transactions at a time, it would be great. It should work the same as "Account Transactions" where you choose the accounts you want to pull, just for Contacts.

    Hi Elizna, you can run the Receivable or Payable invoice detail reports for multiple contacts at a time. Is there something specific about the Contact Transactions Summary that's missing from these reports that you'd want included ? 

  5. When reconciling a transaction the default tax rate should be per the Supplier settings if set up in the Supplier. It is the Supplier who is GST registered or not. Currently a non GST registered Supplier may come up with NO GST, however if you change the account code you are posting the transaction to it will change the tax to be inclusive of GST if that expense would normally include GST. Supplier status should always override account code status, otherwise if not picked up and corrected leads to inaccurate GST returns.

    Hey community, 👋 thanks for all your support on this idea, I'm popping in to switch it across to delivered! We rolled out support for maintaining the suppliers default tax rate when the account code is changed 🎉

    If the account code changes, the default tax rate will not change unless the tax rate is not compatible with the new account code selected.

  6. Send multiple invoices together on one email to the same customer with one 'pay now' button (e.g. for Stripe payment) rather than sending multiple emails which seem like spam to clients !

  8. When reconciling transactions and Find & Match is used, usually for multiple matches, please add an attachment button.
    In the example of one payment matched to multiple sales invoices, there is usually a remittance provided by the client that we need to file with the payment.
    We shouldn't need to go back to a reconciled transaction and manually add the remittance to each line individually.

  9. Would love to see the option to assign an expense approver to multiple expense submitters or even an 'Approvalmax' approver matrix function added to Xero Expenses. Currently using Xero Expenses to administer over 100 employees expenses and need stronger controls than central finance approving all. Happy to help design/ test!

    Hi everyone, we appreciate the number of users that'd like to see more mechanisms to assign and control who approves specific employee's claims.

    Our product teams have a close eye on this idea, and while this feature is not in the roadmap atm, they'll keep reviewing this as they continue to plan and prioritise work for Expenses. So, if there us any shift in status we'll share an update to keep you all informed on the idea, here.

  10. Include a report that allows you to roll up expenses on a per contact basis but only for certain accounts. We would love to see what our spend is on software and hosting costs by vendor.

  11. NEW INVOICING
    Add default bank accounts for adding a payment. Old invoicing automatically brought up your bank accounts. New invoicing-you have to sort through or search your whole chart of accounts for the bank account/s.

  12. The new feature sets the discount column to numeric value by standard. My business uses % and it's incredibly tedious having to type % each time. We can do 10-20 quotes a day with an average of 30 products per quote. So a feature that would allow us to click a button to default to percentage, so when you type a number the % appears (like in old Xero).

    Hi everyone, we appreciate the interest his idea has received. Introducing the ability to add a discount amount was highly requested by our community. We recognise for customers that discount by % this means you'll need to enter a % symbol where y ou wouldn't have done so before.

    With quite a few items drawing our teams attention at present we want to be upfront that developing a default option for discounts isn't in the pipeline atm. This is something we'll keep reviewing and consider as a future improvement in this space. If there is any change or progress around this I'll let you know on the idea, here.

  13. I've noticed in the new invoicing that the account column disappears when it is saved. While I don't want the account column shown on the actual invoice, I use this saved version in Xero to check that the correct account has been selected. I will not switch to new invoicing until this option is available as it would be extra time to edit the invoice to see which account was selected. Classic invoicing is a much better experience in my opinion.

    Thanks for staying tuned with us through the idea, here. As you may have seen when recently invoicing, we've released a new line item grid when the invoice is saved, and in view mode.

    Along with other enhancements this encompasses moving details into their own columns including the Account column. We appreciate your feedback and sharing on how this change could improve the experience for you.

  14. Bulk update account for multiple line entries to allow for easier reanalysis of multiple line items within the software.

    Include a feature to make it easier to change the account for multiple line entries at once through the supplier side to make it easier when bookkeeping to reanalyse multiple line items, rather than editing them one by one if they get reanalysed within the accounts.
    I.e. for a client I originally posted all AXA payments as insurance, in the accounts they were reanalysed as other staff costs, at the moment I need to edit every single line item…

    Hi Adam, we have a feature called Find and recode that will enable you to bulk update the account code for multiple lines at once. You could filter by the contact and then recode whatever lines of transactions as needed.

    I'd recommend giving this a try in the demo co first and potentially working with your accountant before implementing this in your organisation. Have more of a read on this here.

  15. New bank rec reports are based on the start of the month to the current date as a default. The old bank rec report just had an end date. Would like a fast way to move end date field and not have to also alter the start date.

    Hey community! As a few of you have rightly pointed out, the previously posted workaround isn’t suitable if your end date is prior to your start date. In this case, you will have to update both start and end fields. 

    Thank you to everyone that flagged that, and apologies for the confusion.

    Because the the Bank Reconciliation summary lives in the Bank Reconciliation reporting pack, the date picker available is the same as the other bank reports (Bank Statement and Statement Exceptions).

    Understand that some users would prefer an ‘as-at’ date instead, similar to the older report. In the meantime, you can select the same date in both fields to achieve this.

    As that doesn't quite solve this for some users, we're leaving this idea open to continue to collect and share your feedback with our product team. 

  16. It would be great if it is possible to make a contact private in order to limited the users who has access to a contact, especially when the contact contains private information that should not be accessible by all users.

  17. Supplier and customer ledger - to be able to pull a supplier/ customer ledger, instead of pulling reports per contact. This would be ideal if it can be pulled for a certain period, to see all suppliers'/ customers' opening balances, movements and closing balances per supplier/ customer, all on one document.

  18. Move the Delete button away from preview in files attached to contacts.
    So many times, I have accidently deleted files attached to contacts. The delete button is right next to the preview. There is no way to restore once deleted..
