    Would love to see the autosave available for Quotes. Often my clients are distracted whilst creating Quotes and when they've navigated to another section (rather than opening a new Xero tab), the Quote disappears!
    For one of my clients, his quoting is very detailed and this process takes valuable time which he'd rather not have to repeat if the Quote is no longer there.
    Invoices are autosaved of course, once a Contact is entered, so I would assume that the same principle could easily be applied to Quotes....

    Hi team, while we understand the desire for auto-save in quotes here, we want to be open that we don't have plans for changing the current save behaviour for quotes for the time being. While seemingly simple there is a fine balance in creating a save experience that'll suit majority of users. As some may have seen with new invoicing that has auto-save implemented, we've received wide ranging response for this feature, and there is more work needed to fine tune.

    To confirm the current experience, when creating quotes in Xero you'll want to select the Save button before navigating elsewhere in your org, or leaving the page to ensure the contents of your quote is saved.

    If there are any intentions of changing how save works in quotes, we will surely let you know on the idea here. Thanks

  4. Hi,
    Currently Xero restricts the export of Invoice / Bills to 500 rrecords at a time.

    We, I am sure like so may other Xero users are a small value per transaction - High Transaction number enviromment and therefore even if one filters on date range for one day, the number of invoices are in excess of 500. This also means that we are unable to append files for one day at a time.

    My I request Xero to remove the restriction on the number of records while exporting Invoice / Bills transactions please.

  5. We would definately want to see the hourly rate and hours for overtime for staff on annual salaries.
    At the moment the overtime hours are printed but not the rate of pay for the overtime.

  6. A default "Profit & Loss Detail" report is a standard option in pretty much every other bookkeeping system I've worked in and necessary for many companies.

    An additional option of running a standard P&L Report, but also being able to expand account sections to see the detail without opening a new report would be very useful for researching issues. It is tedious to continually run the report I need, only to click on one line item and then have to go back and run the original report again to continue researching.

  7. There seems to be a lot of white space on each page. An accounting system really needs to show concise, compact, neat lines so it is easy to compare figures without having to scroll up and down all the time. I feel that Xero is more interested in the look of the screen, when really the information is the most important part of an accounting system.

    The important information seems to start half way down the screen!

  9. VAT - late claims. As i use tracking categories - everything runs back through the late claims part of the VAT report but, this means there a mass of data to check through for the actual late claims that i do want in there. Very time consuming to check through all this. It would be great if you could separate out - say that the things come through from the bills from the tracking categories.

  11. Bank feed - it would be great for small self employed businesses who do not need a full Xero subscription to be able to link their bank account and categorise their business transactions. Similar to Coconut so that you can link personal accounts and pull in business transactions that have gone through.

    Hi everyone, thanks for engaging with us here on Xero Product Ideas. As you'll have recently seen in our communications - We have spent the last year testing and refining Xero Go and after completing a careful review to understand the future of the product, we found greater investment was required to meet the changing customer needs and expectations around the product.  

    As a result, we will be retiring Xero Go on 12 September 2024, and will move this idea to not planned.  We really appreciate the support from you all who have been using the app during this free period.

  12. It would be wonderful if in Bank rules we could also include the fee that will be taken out.
    Eg a deposit of $100 from Fresha attracts a $2 fee. The bank feed shows $98 . Is there a way to be able to bank rule this

    Thanks for your valuable feedback and for sharing the idea of "Bill payment reminder alerts or emails." It's clear this feature would be a significant improvement. As a current workaround, you can use the existing due date field in Xero to sort your bills and set a separate calendar reminder in your preferred app. While we work on assessing this idea, I want to share that we're exploring bill payment reminders for users with multiple initiatives in progress. We appreciate all your feedback and votes, as they help us better understand the impact and benefits of this feature, and we'll be sure to update this page with any new developments.


  14. It would be great if there was an option to automatically attach the supplier source invoices to the batch payment summary report.

    For example, where an SME has an in-house accounts person raise the batch payment for approval, you would have the option to not just download the batch summary report but include the attached files as well (i.e. the supplier invoices).

    Currently you have to down load the batch payment summary and attach the invoices separately. Whilst accounting practices may have document manager packages that can do this for them, SME owners may not and this feature would be…

  18. New Account transaction report - remove the totals when generating the report for a single account.
    The new report adds a report total at the end of the selected accounts which is a total of the debit or credit transactions for 'all' accounts selected.
    When only one account is selected it still shows a total - this is in addition to the total for the transactions on the account itself so it shows total of transactions, closing balance and then total of transactions of all accounts selected. It would improve the usability of this report to have the 'overall total…

    Sorry team, we'll need to take a step back from our previous update here. Though this is a feature our teams would like to pick up in the future, we're unable to focus resource on this atm. As soon as we can pick things up, I'll be back to share again.

  19. QR Code on Invoice that goes to same web location as the 'View your Bill Online' link on Invoices.

    Currently, a Xero Invoice can have a link displayed for easy/direct payment by customer.

    I would like to see the option to include a QR Code, embeded within the EMAIL sent to customers, and on the PDF attached to the Email, that translates to the same link, allowing for easy payment of printed invoices at time of delivery.

    Great for 1st time customers, Pay on Delivery or COD customers.
