  1. I exported the Detailed Account Transaction Report. Additional column I need is the transaction number so I could group or filter the specific transaction/s that I want to conduct further analysis.

  2. In the old reports there is a P&L report where you can show at any point in the year the actual monthly figures that have past and then the budgeted monthly figures going forward. I dont think there is currently a way of doing this in the new reports and this is something that clients like to see to show them if they keep going at the budgeted figures what the expected profit or loss will be for the year.

  5. We reconcile monthly sales with an internal ordering/salesprocessing system. This is good for checking to see if invoices have been missed and also to make sure that the net sales are the same in Xero too (another fail safe check). There needs to be a sales report that is easy to run off on a monthly basis showing net figures. Currently I have to run a couple of reports off - identify prepayments and delete them in the excel version, then add another column to work out net value.   6. Enable the Payable Invoice Detail report to total the invoices for each contact. At present the report totals the GST component of each contact's invoices, which I find not at all useful. It would be possible to export the report to Excel, and calculate the totals in that format, but this would be time-consuming.

    I use the payable invoice detail report to get approvals for payment. It would be useful for the person doing the approving to see how much each contact's invoices add up to.

    Hi team, returning to the idea here I wanted to check if this is still an issue? With the Payable Invoice Details report you'll find you can 'Group by' Contact and there are options to include Balance, Gross Tax and Net columns within the report so you can get a full break down and totals for each.

  8. When clients use Xero Me they use the notes section on the timesheet to communicate and for some staff advise their managers what tasks they have completed on that day. Xero help confirmed today these notes are no longer visible once the timesheet is approved meaning we have lost visibility of this information. My client is very unhappy that I did not advise them of this issue, unfortunately as this is a new way of completing the timesheets I wasn't aware this was going to happen, previously my clients were sending me a spreadsheet each fortnight and I was manually…

  9. Exported reports should include page numbering (ie: Page 4 of 5). This was part of the old style reports but seems to have been overlooked in the New Format reports.

    Hey community, thanks to everyone that shared their feedback on this idea! This is now live 🎉
    This week we’ve released an update to reporting, so you’ll now see a page number when exporting any report to a .pdf. Previously, it was only possible to add page number to Advisor reports.
    I’ve attached a screenshot with an example of this in action, but for more information, check out our Export and print a report Xero Central article.

  10. Tracking category—I would appreciate being able to create a report that lists the number of times a particular tracking category is allocated in a particular time frame.

  11. It would be great if when you download a report into PDF that the headings for each column are on each page like the sticky headings. If you have a multiple page report and you only get the headers on the first page you have to keep scrolling back to the top to remember which column is which.

    Hi Ann, as you may have found with Xero's new reports, now when you export a report to PDF if you have multiple pages column headers will be shown at the top of each page. 

    Sorry it's taken a little to round back on this here and thanks for sharing your idea in community here. 

  12. I've noticed the Payment Summary Details Report no longer captures all the data ie RFBA that is input during the STP finalisation process. Would be great if we could have a tidier and shorter one (selecting what you want) rather then the CSV file.

    This morning we enabled PDF exports for the STP finalisation screen, and these exports will include all fields, including RFBA.

    There was also some requests for the ability to edit what's included in this pdf export. Conscious that this update doesn't quite deliver that, so I've spun that off in to a seperate idea 👉 'AU Payroll - Edit PDF export of STP Finalisation'

  13. A report that shows the items (and item qty) required to fulfill accepted quotes.

    Purpose: Seeing a figure of accepted quote will make it easy for users to track their sales.

    Good news everyone! Our reporting team recently released the ability to show Quotes through Receivable Invoice Details and Summary reports :)
    When you’re using either of these reports, you can click the "All quotes summary" or "All quotes detail" option at the side panel, then filter the report by Status and choose "Accepted". If you need to share the report to those who don't have full access to Xero report, you can export your report.

  15. Can you please add a final Totals line at the bottom of the BAS Transactions by Tax Rate report on the new BAS showing Gross, GST & Net, like you had for the GST Audit Report as this was very helpful in our reconciliation?

  16. Payroll Employee Summary Report

    Is there a way to have this report show the actual period the wages are for? Currently the report shows "for the period 17 April 2024 to 17 April 2024, which is the date the payroll is paid. BUT the period is actually for 10 April 2024 to 16 April 2024.

  17. While the new search function in Reports is excellent, especially as there are so many in the overflow button of each listed report, it is not possible to mark the report shown in the search results as a favourite.

    It would be great if there could be the option to either go to the report directly, or go to the report in the list so it can be marked as a favourite - or better still have the option to mark it as a favourite from within the search results list.

    Thanks for your interaction in Xero Product Ideas, and sharing with us here. Being transparent, we don't have intentions of adding the ability to favourite from the Search menu in Xero.

    We understand wanting to swiftly locate and favourite your reports. Right now, perhaps using Ctrl+F (Control Find) to search the name of the report and quickly navigate to this on any webpage.

  18. Custom Reports
    The formula feature only appears to work for columns that are located to the left of the formula column.
    Each column has a name, surely the name is the important element and not the position of the column on the report.
    Can the formula feature be amended so that columns from anywhere in the report can be included

  19. leave tracking report for requests that have not been completed, it could fall in previous payroll periods or current or future. This could offer more functionalities for payroll officer to track leaves in a larger payroll.
