  1. Ability to allocate disbursements against a client - rather than a job.

    Where small costs (postage/courier, ASIC fees, software fees) are paid on behalf of a client, we shouldn't have to set-up a job just for these minor items - which will then sit as an open job for months until we bill the client next.

  2. When there is a Managed Fund distribution on the prefill, the distribution is automatically entered into the Managed fund distribution worksheet. If there is no figure, it pulls through a $0.00 which leads to a $0.00 at the primary producer label L. This then automatically triggers the income averaging to which you manually have to OPT out of. Please fix this issue.

  4. Please make currency codes in dropdown menu in item 20 ITR display alphabetically (what psychopath decided it was a good idea to put them in a random order?). Also, it should have built-in exchange rates based on ATO average and year end data with the ability to select a methodology (i.e. Actual, Average, or Year End).

  5. Please add in the fixed asset numbers in the new depreciation schedule. The old report had this and it made it very easy to review and reconcile. This feature is very much needed. Thanks

  7. Similar to ability to restrict access to Xero Tax, its critical if we can have the ability to restrict access to certain client details. Currently you can search for any client details and there is no way to restrict access to this information. This functionality would be extra help for partners & staff members who are also clients of the firm.

    Hi community, thanks for your support and sharing in the idea here. Diving into your comments, there are a few different ideas that we're picking up on within this one thread;

    1. ability to change the email address/contact of a sent pack
    2. ability to add additional documents to a sent pack, and
    3. the ability to edit metadata of a sent pack

    For the first, we'd like to better understand what is driving the need to change the email address?  is it down to a typo when entering it? or if its on a tax return, is it wrong on the client record etc?

    Although it's not possible to add additional documents to a pack right now, creating and sending a new document pack is essentially the same - Is there any reason this isn't suitable?

    Lastly, it'd be good to get more substance of how the ability to rename a pack…

Have the option to have a tick box to show a section as completed, as if you have to leave a return part completed and then return to it, (which could be nearly 2 months later) as you have requested additional information, you have to go through it all again to check what you have done whereas a tick box would show which has been done and save you some time.

    Thank you for raising this idea, Ruth. Our Product team can definitely see the benefits of adding support for this. As you will know personal tax has some permanent schedules (Client details, Attachments etc). Would you only expect to have the completed tracking against the schedules that are added or the permanent schedules as well?

  10. Hopefully there will be an editable field / automatic tick box in the Cover Letter for the Tax Returns where the Trustee for the Trust is a Company (Corporate Trustee) where we can put the name/s of the client in the Salutation and not the Corporate Trustee. Our tax returns would show "Dear Company Name" which sounds / looks wrong instead of "Dear Individual Name"

  11. I'd love to have the ability to get XPM to email clients once their returns are lodged to confirmed it has been done. So many clients ask for confirmation and emailing each one takes time, a simple email from xero would be great.

  12. It would be great if we could bulk update data (default fields and custom fields) and have options on how we want to update the data.

    For example, if we want to update the 'Manager' field, we could choose to base this on the group or client, and:
    - Update all groups/clients to John; or
    - Update all groups/clients that are currently Sam to John, and have a check box to untick any groups/clients that are to be excluded; or
    - Update by manual selection - tick/untick the groups/clients that require the update.

  13. Integrate XWPS with XPM - The XPM job should allow us to enter the period start and end date and this should link to XWPS along with the Partner, manager and staff. We should then be able to go into XWPS directly from that job in XPM. This would reduce having to enter data (period and staff) twice on XPM and XWPS

  14. When completing the CT600, the maximum size document you can attach is 1MB. This is not ideal especially when doing a R&D claim

  15. For non-Xero clients, it would be very useful to be able to use workpapers and include the actual account balance from the Client's accounts, rather than displaying the Xero account balance as nil. As a practice, we use Xero workpapers, but not every single client uses Xero.

  16. We can search by client. We can search by group (if using group='name'), but we can't search or filter by billing clients. This would be handy to see this option in the WIP menu so all related jobs to that billing client are presented for drafting invoices. Currently the only means to achieve this is via the Business>Invoice menu but the job and WIP display is not as ideal or helpful.

  17. M1 medicare levy reduction has an income test. IT8 for dependants does not. These 2 items are linked in Xero tax. Can you please unlink them.

  19. It would be wonderful if we could transfer interest, dividends, annual trust distribution information, and capital gains between a husband and wife (or partners etc) when the accounts are held 50/50 or 1/3 25% etc without having to re-enter the schedule into the other party's tax return.

    Link the partners together like it does with a rental schedule.

  20. Can we please customise client page on XPM to add a column for the Account Manager. We currently see the Client NAME, PH NUMBER, and ADDRESS. Can we please add Account Manager to the page?
    It would cut out a lot time when processing morning mail or directing phone calls from clients as this would mean we don't have to open the client file to see who they belong to.
