  4. Have the option to have a tick box to show a section as completed, as if you have to leave a return part completed and then return to it, (which could be nearly 2 months later) as you have requested additional information, you have to go through it all again to check what you have done whereas a tick box would show which has been done and save you some time.

    Thank you for raising this idea, Ruth. Our Product team can definitely see the benefits of adding support for this. As you will know personal tax has some permanent schedules (Client details, Attachments etc). Would you only expect to have the completed tracking against the schedules that are added or the permanent schedules as well?

  5. Wouldn't it be great to be able to link the Prepaid Borrowing Costs from the Balance sheet to the Borrowing Costs working paper and have a journal entry that filters through to Xero for the annual write off amount. This is a such a simple thing that would once again save time when it comes to processing.

  7. It would be good to filter deleted clients like we can for archived clients on XPM custom reports. At the moment they display on the Income Tax report that compares clients with the ATO list and there is no way to filter them out. It makes finding clients who have dropped off the ATO list difficult.

    Thanks for your engagement and feedback through the idea here, community. Appreciate the examples provided of the needs in being able to add relationship types to your clients. While this is an idea our team have their eyes on, we want to be upfront that it's not something we have planned atm. We'll keep you informed if there's any progress to share on this, here.

  11. In Xero tax , There should be separate and separate tagging/ mapping for Net wages, Director's Loan accounts, Pension liability , PAYE liability etc. instead of common tagging/Mapping as "other creditors".
    Because Reader/Practitioner may face difficulties to identify figurs in accounts reports. If Xero team provides tagging options more specific to Balance sheet items it will improve quality of Accounts report generated by Xero Tax.

  12. Will there be something developed (in the works) on sharing the mapping report with clients, so they know which codes are lumped together in the P&L and Balance Sheet? This seems to be a common inefficiency where they ask the question and we have to break down each code and manually provide the info, as they don't have access to our reporting templates / edit layout function.   13. US Tax - Create Schedule C Report with Full Cost (Total/Gross Cost Inclusive of Sales Tax) for tax return. Currently, it will pull the amounts without the sales tax (created when you match a transaction/enter an invoice using tax on purchases amounts) into the report, which is under-reporting the amount for the Schedule C tax deductions.

    The current work-around is to pull the transaction reports for each account and use the Gross amount from those reports in Excel to link back to the Schedule C report.

  14. From what I understand is common in a lot of firms is when a client leaves/dies/etc their client profile is archived in XPM and the data persists into infinity.

    Given the latest high profile data breaches is would be good if XPM had a Housekeeping module where firms could identify archived clients where the attached Personally Identifiable Information (In particular TFN, Bank account, phone/mobile and addresses) is no longer needed and permanently remove it in a structured process.

    A similar process may need to be created for the forms that we generate from XPM so they they are permanently removed…

  15. Can you please add a tool for importing Bank Transfers to the conversion Toolbox. When there are more than two bank accounts, trying to work out the Bank account to transfer to, is a bit hit and miss, causing significant rework.

  16. the function to search for clients needs to be easier (similar to the search function) when you are trying to run reports in XPM. It is tiring to go through 3,000 clients on a list to select the one I want to view as the function to run reports only allows me to type the first initial.
    It takes us almost 5-6mins to run a simple report

  17. Reporting on XPM - I need to run a report from XPM that shows me ALL our clients who haven't had a job booked in yet showing the name "2023" so I can then chase them for checklists.

    I can't see how to run a report that shows this. I really don't want to have to run multiple reports and compare things off - with over 1200 clients this takes an awful long time.

    There has to be a simpler way.

  20. Add the option for differing annual leave allowances (weekend rates) that deduct from the overall annual leave accrual.

    Currently the workaround Xero has advised is setting up a "weekend annual leave" leave type with the correct leave loading for weekends and manually adjusting the leave accrual.

    Alternatively, a possible solution is adding an allowance leave type "O" for reporting.
