Stop Using your Customers as Guinea Pigs for Debugging and Development
Xero Customers pay a lot of money for a product that focuses advertising claims on simplicity, automation, beautiful accounting software, etc. It is really disappointing that radical changes are being made to core components are impeding the user and even putting businesses in a position of not being able to get paid properly - eg. screen layout and functionality is now ugly and cumbersome, invoice design is so unprofessional it looks like you are a scammer!
In addition to forcing all these changes, Xero expects their customers to put forward 'ideas' which are in fact 'fixes' for the mess created.
Not only that, users are now prevented from complaining, with commenting being disabled. That really prevents the true number of unhappy customers being published.
It would be nice if Xero started treating their customers better. The product begins to fit the 'not fit for purpose' description when your clients have to debug the software, find work-arounds for something that no longer works..... Do Better Xero
Thank you for taking your time to feedback with us here. We understand changes can feel disruptive when they don’t align with your established workflows.
The recent Homepage and navigation updates are intended to make key areas easier to find and provide a more consistent foundation for improving the Xero experience. The new Invoice template editor was also designed based on a lot of feedback we received from customers needing more control and a simple manner of customising their invoices. We appreciate there are further improvements our customers would like to see in these features and are continuing to take on feedback to make further refinements.
Before changes are released, they’re thoroughly tested with a range of users and refined based on what we learn. We also recognise there are many different ways customers use Xero and how they’d like it to work.
Our product teams regularly engage with these forums and use the insights shared by our community to understand where further improvements are needed.
I see you've joined other ideas in the forums here for changes you'd like to see and we'll be sure to keep you updated on any progress for these.

Agree the new layout changes and invoice changes are quite bad. Xero themselves are still issuing invoices using the old template so it makes one think it is possible.
