  2. When employees are using xero me app to book leave and the amount of leave they are requesting will cause their leave balance to go to a negative, either the app needs to not allow them to submit the leave as they are in negative already or will go negative or an alert to say that they are/will be in negative that they then need to acknowledge to submit the leave.

  3. Ability to import the number of days of annual leave/other leave taken per employee for the month. It is very time consuming to manually add the leave taken for each employee when completing the payroll each month.

    Hi team. We can see it's been a while since we've provided you with an update about this idea. Looks like it's steadily Gaining Support.

    Whilst this idea isn't currently on our product team's roadmap, we're monitoring the activity and will keep you updated as we go.

  4. Enable full data import from external data source (say CSV) for all emplolyee data not just basic data. That would allow organisations with more staff to easily migrate to XERO without having to manually re-enter significant volumes of data.

    Hey team, we appreciate wanting to upload more employee details when setting them up. While we have recently released an updated process to bulk uploading employees, we want to be upfront that this only allows the bulk upload of basic fields such as names, dates of birth and addresses.

    This may be something we consider longer term and we would like to continue to track interest through the idea here.

  6. I like to be able to change a payrate in advance but still be able to use the old payrate in the current pay runs. Then adding a new line for ordinary hours with the new pay rate if it starts in the middle of a pay week. This way you don't have to go into each employee to change the rate if you have a pay week where it is the old payrate for eg 2 days and the new one for 3 days.   7. Could Xero start looking at a drop down box on the allowance to have one as Not Reportable (alongside the other catagories eg. Meals, Tools, Car), and to have it out for STP reporting? or another checkbox down the bottom along with the withholding tax, super, and W1 questions?
    Instead of going through the long winding process of creating an ordinary earning, remove as deduction and do a reimbursement as per https://central.xero.com/s/article/Process-special-pay-items-like-living-away-from-home-allowance

    Hi everyone, thanks for your continued feedback. To be upfront, we do not have any planned work to change how non-reportable allowances are processed at this stage. Currently, you need to use a reimbursement pay item to process these allowances. Our product team has confirmed that this remains a compliant solution with the ATO.

    However, we hear you. We know that relying on reimbursements involves workflow challenges. While it's not on our immediate roadmap, we will continue to monitor your feedback and will update this thread if anything changes.

  8. Pay rates rounding by 4 decimal points causing an underpayment of wages. EG: Base rate is 25.65 x 1.5 = 38.475000 but the award rate is actually 38.48. Need a solution for this ASAP. Also change decimal place settings for pay slip and pay template items such as superannuation.

    We can see you raised this a little while ago, thank you for your patience whilst it was being reviewed. We can see this idea has been steadily gaining support so have now updated the status accordingly. Whilst this is not currently on our product team's roadmap, they are keeping an eye on this idea and we will continue to share updates as things evolve.

  9. I have a client that needs to apply the Apprenticeship levy and this is not available on Xero Payroll as this is normally a function for large companies and not small companies that Xero are focusing on. This is a small company, but do form part of a large UK group therefore are sucked into reporting this to HMRC. Can this function be integrated into Xero payroll to be switched on when needed?   10. I need to be able to approve super when I am travelling and do not have access to text messages. It is most inflexible that there is only one method for doing this! Can the Xero Verify App not be used for auto super approvals too? Then I only need wifi.

    Or, can text be received to whatsapp instead?

    Hi everyone, we just wanted to provide a quick update on this one as the upcoming payday super changes will be top of everyone's minds.

    The current approval step is important for both cash flow management and security and the community has also suggested a few different ideas on how to approach this:

    If either of these ideas reflects what’d work best for you, please add your vote, to help us get a clearer understanding what matters most to our community.

    When we’re through the thick of EOY and initial payday super is rolled out, our product team will circle back around to these ideas to review.

  12. Ability to draft future payruns - ie more than 1 darft payrun. Especially at Christmas time. I would like to draft up future payruns before Igo on leave, but still have the ability to adjust this week payrun for overtime etc. At the moment I can't move forward until I complete current payrun. or i have to do un unscheduled payrun to fix it. Very time consuming

  14. Require an SGC statement report ( a combination of Employee remuneration + payroll activity summary report) that includes all details required about the employee and super accrued on OTE + Overtime hours worked. This would enable efficient reporting to the ATO when super payments are late.

  15. Invoices submitted by contractors - Xero should have a tick box where we can tick 'I need to pay super on this invoice' and it tracks and records contractor super owing.

    In the meantime, it may be useful to note that the classification field is an editable field and is included in the remuneration report.

  18. I love that you can now schedule payslips but it would be much better if you could choose date and time rather than 1 day/2 days/3 days etc this is fussy, a calendar and time would be fanastic !!!!

    Thanks for the great discussions here, just wanted to touch base to let you know we’re listening. The idea is still open and currently gathering support on Xero Product Ideas, so we don’t have a public timeframe to share right now. We’ll continue to keep a close eye on support here and update if anything changes.

  19. When adding a new employee's super fund, being able to add the fund by entering the USI number.

    If that can't be done, at least show the USI next to the super fund name so we can make sure we are selecting the correct super fund.

    Currently to make sure I am selecting the correct super fund in Xero when adding a new employee, to confirm the USI I need to go to my organisation, settings, payroll settings, superannuation and then, because I can't sort alphabetically or search for a fund name or USI, I basically have to add a…

  20. Have the ability to enter employer pension contributions in the opening balances when adding a new client to Xero. At present the resulting payslip is incorrect as the YTD employer pension figure only shows the current month and not YTD.
