UK Payroll - Payslips - Schedule date for payslips to be emailed

Ability to have an automated scheduled payslip.

Purpose: To make Payroll admin workflow easier, especially when they aren’t working on the day when payslip needs to be sent.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts on this one, community. We know how important scheduling payslips is for many of you, and we appreciate the time you’ve taken to explain how it could help your workflow.

We understand being able to set a future send date could make life easier when you’re managing different client paydays, covering for colleagues who are away or avoiding confusion from employees receiving payslips before the money is in their account.

Right now the workaround is to set a reminder to log in and send payslips on the required day. We know that’s not ideal, and while we don’t have dates to share, we’re committed to improving the payslip experience. This idea is under active consideration and we’ll keep you updated on progress.

    would be great for us BUSY bookkeepers/BAS Agents. Sometimes I can complete the payroll on the Friday for the Monday so this would be great for those situations!!!

    How has this not been added yet? This should be a very simple feature to implement and would make life a lot easier for a lot of people!

    To save remembering to do manually, Xero could automatically send payslips as soon as the payrun is created/clicked.

    This would make everyone's life so much easier - to have a delay timer on mailing payslips on the paydate.
    I keep forgetting to go back on the actual day of the payrun and mail out the payslips. This feature would make sure it never gets missed.

    They don't look at our comments, they don't like to fix bugs, and they don't really know or care how the UX and UI Interfaces work with their users.
    It's shame that they don't seem to do what the users want, nor listen to their concerns. They've been contacted about illegal settings by myself, and they've denied it's illegal - in print. Then, quietly, they've make a change because it was indeed illegal, and don't bother to contact anyone to let them know.

    Payslips - Create a schedule (date/time) to automatically email payslips rather than having to complete manually.

    Come on Xero your users have spoken!

    I have 9 separate payrolls to run, please make our lives easier by having this simple feature, it will save us all a lot of time and hassle having to remember to go and email payslips!

    Really need this as we process our payruns several days in advance..then have to remember to go back in to send the payslips out on pay the day. What a hassle..Doh

    Surely this would be simple to add & make things a whole heap easier!

    I'm running three weeks worth of weekly payroll for one client today, with the client's permission, because neither of us wants to be in the office in between Christmas and New Year's. I'd really like to schedule the payslips to automatically send on the day that the payments are scheduled for.

    (Payslips that aren't sent within 24 hours of payroll payment day are breaking employment law; me working while I'm on annual leave breaches my contract. Basically, I currently have no option available to follow all legal requirements)

    This is a must have. This feature was available in Quickbooks and I was really surprised that such a basic thing was not available in Xero.

    It would be great if you could schedule the emailing of the payslip to a particular day or time also, currently you have to log in and do it manually to send at the time of clicking the button, its annoying as I always want them to send a day or two later

    Fair Work Australia says payslips are to be sent within a day of payday - we like to queue up payroll so as much as possible runs automatically over Christmas, when we're all on leave, but payslips being required to be sent within a day of payday means that we can't, for example, create a payroll to be paid on 28/12/22 and then go on holiday - someone has to log in while they're visiting family just to send the payslips.

    I run payroll for two separate organisations and this would be a great feature especially when I run a payroll before the scheduled day.

    Would be great to have this functionality so that employees receive their payslips on their payday as I often finalise the payroll beforehand.

    It would be great if you could arrange for payslips to be sent on a different day to the day that the payrun was prepared. Sometimes I need to do the payrun earlier than the pay date and I would prefer to be able to send the payslips out on the pay date but not have to log in again on the pay date to do this
