AU Tax - Ability to change day time contact
Day time contact number in individual tax return.
Individual tax return cover page has two options
Mobile number and day time contact number
day time contact number is by default picked up from practice management setting which is practitioner number.
there is no a way to change this day time number to client contact number automatically.11 votes -
Xero HQ | Clients - Export list by group
There is no option to export a group of clients appearing on the screen. We have different managers managing different groups of xero clients and they need to see this rather than export the whole client list and having to sort on excel

Practice Manager | Depreciation Schedule | Print - Asset Serial Numbers
Fixed Assets - Asset Serial Numbers Printing on Depr Schedule
It would be helpful to have as a print option for the Depreciation Schedule the ability to print asset serial numbers. This is one of the few fields not current able to be selected.Application is transport Companies and Engineering Companies which have a high reliance on serial number identification.

Practice Manager | Report on Final Returns lodged
I am wanting to run a weekly report which lists any lodged returns that have been ticked as Final Returns in the return itself. This will then trigger a set of tasks to wind up the client (ie ASIC deregistrations etc).

Workpapers - Export & print linked files
Xero workpaper would also show the actual file report and not just the links when exporting the workpaper. This is only available for files uploaded to the workpaper. Our practice uses FYI docs where all the relevant schedules, documents, and files are uploaded and we simply link it to Xero Workpapers. This is also helpful for practices who are using cloud storing services for documents and files.

AU Tax - Ability to have unlinked depreciation schedules
I would find it very useful to have an unlinked depreciation schedules in Xero Tax. Including amortisation schedules for borrowing costs and also assets that are used for business and employment purposes creates efficiency by including it in the return.

XPM group view - Main email
Hi Support,
When you view a group in XPM it shows you the recipients, the phone and address fields, it would be amazing if the mail email address was also displayed.

Xero HQ - Custom Staff Groups
It would be great if we had the ability to create our own groups within the staff screen in Xero HQ. At the moment we have filters for standard, administrator, master administrator and then also staff that have been invited but not yet accepted.
It would be useful if we could create our own custom staff groups. For example by office location: London, Glasgow, Manchester etc. or by function within the business: Accounts, Audit, Tax etc.
Staff could belong to different groups as well, Glasgow and Audit or London and Tax.

Xero Sign - have the ability to see if a client has viewed the signing pack
It would be excellent to be able to see if a client has viewed the Xero Sign email pack.

Recording Statistical data
Xero should be having a feature Statistical GL where one can enter statistical information or numbers which are vital for analyzing business trends.
For example, If I am maintaining books of a restaurant and I want to record daily covers (footfall or number of customers) which can help me analyze revenue per cover, spend etc.
There should an option to create some designated ledgers to input and maintain these statistical information which does not affect any financial statements but can be used for business performance analysis.11 votes -
Practice Manager - Option to exclude 'completed' from job list
Removal of 'completed' jobs from the job list when preparing an invoice in XPM.
Sometimes we invoice a parent client with multiple entities jobs appearing and this can be very hard to navigate when looking for current jobs to invoice - even if the status is marked to be invoiced. It would be more efficient if completed jobs just didn't appear in the list.

Restore Relationships Collapsible View
One thing that's particularly frustrating to me about the new UI is the non-collapsible view for relationships. We have clients that are part of big groups with lots of relationships, and it now looks very cluttered, and quite annoying when we have to scroll down.
Please restore the drop-down view (and change back to the smaller font too) 🙏

Staff - Ability to request access to Clients from admin
It would be handy for a Staff member to be able to send a request to a Practice admin to access a Client when needed.

Stemming from this original idea, this isn't something we have direct plans of at this time, but our product teams are staying close to the ground on what our practices would like to see developed and will consider this in future planning. 🙏

XPH - Detailed business structure when viewing client group
Prior to the new XPM update, viewing a group provided a detailed breakdown of each client's business structure. The new layout simplifies this into broad categories (individual, company, trust, partnership, other), meaning you now have to click into each client to see the specific details. For example, 'other' represents a range of options such as departing client, on hold due to non-payment, or a non-client entity. This makes it harder to understand a client's status at a glance. Your suggestion around having a more detailed business structure breakdown makes sense, especially as broader categories like Other can cover a mix of different client situations.

Practice tools - Floating navigation and headers
I note that when I am in the "Clients" and other tabs the top two toolbars (green and white) disappear when scrolling. It is very annoying that you can't see the client's name and other tabs at a glance. Is it possible that these two toolbars can remain static?

While not a direct solve of what you're asking here a tip to help you quickly navigate back up the page could be to use the 'Home' button on your keyboard.

Xero HQ | Insights - Ability to filter by client group
Please include in the Insights tab the ability to filter by client group.
10 votesHi everyone, thank you for contributing to this idea. We understand how useful it would be to filter the Insights dashboard by client groups in Xero HQ. Right now, you can filter the main Clients list by custom groups, but the Insights dashboard doesn’t support this filter just yet.
The exciting news is that we’re currently working on the Xero Partner Hub, which includes exploring ways to enhance reporting and insights tools. You can find out more about what’s coming on our Blog.

Job Manager - Set the Primary Contact as the default contact
When each job is created, we manually have to add the contact to the job. If this is not done, the invoice that is pushed to Xero Blue doesn't have contact information and we are unable to utilise the automatic reminders etc. This requires manual monitoring and negates the efficiencies within Xero Blue.
This manual process would be solved if we had the ability to set the Primary Contact as the default contact on jobs that are created. This could for example, be set up as a tick box in settings. This could give people the option to switch on…

Workpapers - Ability to reorder/rearrange accounts (lines) on a workpaper
Please add ability to reorder accounts (lines) on a workpaper in Xero Workpaper. This is painful both for automatically populating workpapers (which go in the impractical alphabetical order) and custom workpapers (where every new line is added at the bottom...).

Xero Tax (AU) | Tax return - Allow us to select which schedules get printed
Have a separate tick box to include/exclude the detailed disclosure (separate from other schedules).
We would like to be able to print schedules where required but not show all of the detail for the asset and liabilities disclosure. Allow us to select which schedules get printed with the tax return, rather than the all or nothing approach.
