  1. When a business incorporates we cannot add the date of incorporation and therefore cannot print reports for the first year correctly without further work. For first year accounts can you look to make it so that we can have an extended first year

  2. Love Xero Tax for FRS105 but don't use it for FRS102 s1A accounts. Are there any plans to be able to select to include a SOIRE (not just a SOCE)? This is critical for a potential switchover to Xero Tax for these accounts for me.

    We've been exploring opportunities for expanding UK tax capabilities for our partners and are considering the ability to include a SOIRE for FRS102 1A accounts. We'll shift to Under review and share more when there's updates with you here. 🙂

  3. Would love to see features to the group profile. Even if they were custom tabs from the business settings (so it applies to all groups). Some ideas are:

    1. Group information - could be a list of the clients and their partner, manager, class, etc (would be great if each firm could select what client details they want to include from their business settings).

    2. Client Fees - could use this section to add services, fees and notes for each client, and then have this total per service, client and group. This way you can update on the go and see the…

  4. Xero Sign

    Often I send husband and wife docs to sign.

    If we put the wife to sign their return, the husband cannot see it in the pack.

    This might have been some privacy idea but think in terms of a real physical meeting, you have both pwople checking both, or if you post, both check both. It makes sense they both unde4stand each other.

    So ability to see everything in the pack would be good.

    Current workaround is I put the return in the pack a 2nd time with no spots to sign, so the other person can see…

  5. Xero to automatically log the time you spend in each client and summarise monthly/ average 12 monthly.

    No stop/start. 10 minute auto logout.

    Advantages: no additional work for the user
    Disadvantages: not an exact science.

  7. Problem
    Currently, editing "Client Notes" requires full "Client record" view & edit access. There is no way to allow staff to update notes without also giving them the ability to edit other client details.

    Impact
    This creates an all-or-nothing permission issue. In many cases, teams want staff to freely update notes, but not have access to change core client information. This increases risk and limits practical delegation.

    Workarounds like using "Job Notes" are not suitable, as they are not visible on the main client record.

    Request
    Introduce a separate permission for "Client Notes", allowing users to:

    view client record
    add/edit…

  8. It would be useful for the client date of death field to automatically be pulled into the relevant tax return if field to save manual look up and entry when entering client tax returns.

    We appreciate that with date of death now available as a field on a client record that some users would like to see this automatically pull through to the relevant tax return.

    While we don't have direct plans of this right now we're keen to get a sense of interest in this from our partners in community.

  10. The Client Name used to be clear and in the centre of the page before the new update. Now, I forget which client I am in, and it is easy to get it mixed up with the Referral Source.

  11. Xero Tax should have another Tab to View ALL NON Lodged.
    Right now you have to go to Draft, Completed, Approved, To Sign, To File - that's 5 tabs to see which returns and BAS are not yet lodged. All tab includes Filed. There needs to be a tab where you can view All Non Lodged excluding Filed.

    Hi Serena, thanks for your suggestion to add year-to-date comparatives in the Insights tab in Xero HQ.

    We’ve reviewed the idea and it’s now been marked as Gaining Support. This is a useful request that could add more context to client performance and make the Insights tool more valuable for advisory work.

    We’ll be keeping an eye on how much interest this generates. If this feature would be helpful in your practice, feel free to add your vote or share how you'd use it, that kind of input is always helpful.

  15. It will be great if Xero has its own separated spreadsheet to keep the record or, ideally, import into the CTR's franking account.

    Currently we have to use third party software to keep track of the franking account, and I have seen some of the tools can import from ATO Portal too via csv / pdf.

  16. Xero HQ report templates overwrite the order of accounts to alphabetical when accessed at a client. The report templates are in the correct part of the financial statement for the client, but then it defaults to alphabetical order. This requires you to change the order for each client, even though it was done at the HQ level.

  17. It would be ideal to have the ability to remove yourself from a practice in XPM. For example, if you are consulting to a firm and they aren't maintaining their staff list and removing access promptly when the contract is complete, you would be able to have more control over the security of a file and keeping your list of practices clean by being able to remove yourself from their practice.

  18. When preparing an invoice, it would be great if you could replace the radio buttons with check boxes within tasks and also be able to bulk update the Billable status on timesheet entries within a task to Yes, No or Future.
    If you have a task with a lot of timesheet entries, and you only want to bill a few of them, it's very time consuming to have to select one by one to change the Billable status to Future.

  19. Ability to attach a document to a specific query on the accountant end.
    Would save us from having to go to the workpaper in order to open the document that the query references. Instead could open directly from the query tab.
