  1. To make unaudited financial statements for Community Benefit Society Companies. Although Ltd, it has a unique company registration number, the accounts are submitted via the mutual register. The reporting format is slightly different. It includes, Management Committee Report, Independent Accountant Report and Notes to Financial Statements.

    Hi Debbie, the 'waiting approval' report only contains unapproved letters. And the field you've references would only contain payments 'since approval' so even if included, would always be 0.00.

    Could you share a little detail of any underlying pain point you're looking for this idea to help you solve? It'd help in sharing back with the team and considering how this could be tackled. Thanks!

  3. The Primary Contact in the 'Additional Contacts' section should appear above any other contacts. I believe this used to be the case before the recent update. It was much clearer and made much more sense to see who the first point of contact is when contacting clients.

  4. Currently only administration level can import disbursements and such things. To give a staff member access would mean they also receive access to staff details and such things. Disbursements, especially bulk disbursements, is a task that is not and should not be done by upper management, to limiting access to them is problematic.

  5. Now that XPM includes the industry classification on the client record, it would be great to be able to generate a report using this field. This would enable us to extra data to easily see which partners have which industries they look after.

  6. It's great that XPM now has standard fields for Date of Death, additional email addresses (on the client file) and additional physical addresses, however, we cannot run a report to show those fields.

  7. Add the end date column into Recurring jobs view so that you see the jobs that are not active and sort by that column. The job may have a current next date but it has actually been ended with an end date and you cannot tell from the main view without clicking into the job.

  8. When the label 2 of an ITR is prefilled, I want to be able to detail or write a breakdown of what that allowance amount consist of from the client's STP income statement. e.g.
    - Laundry ###,
    - Motor vehicle ###,
    - Telephone ###

    at the moment the function just inputs the total allowance figure shown in prefill

  9. We need a centralised user management solution for add-ins/apps. What is in place now is too unwieldy once you have more than a few clients. Apps are an important part of the Xero proposition and add tremendous value to the platform. The solution would allow clients and practices to manage users across Xero and the apps enrolled for, which would save significant amounts of time and be much more efficient than what is in place right now i.e. having to set-up users indivdually in each app.

  10. Relationships: Adding the correct group structure while distributions still being able to flow to the right tax entity

    We have a company called Sample Company Pty Ltd. The shares of that company are held by Share Company Pty Ltd on behalf of Beneficiary Trust. We should be able to put in that Share Company Pty Ltd is a shareholder of Sample Company Pty Ltd but that the distribution flows through to the ultimate shareholder Beneficiary Trust.   11. Our understanding is that it should not be necessary to amend the year-end date at Companies House in order to file an accounting period that falls within −7/+7 days of the year end, as doing so would constitute an extension of the accounting period, which we would prefer to avoid.

    At present, Xero does not support this scenario, nor does it offer an alternative recommended approach. It would therefore be helpful if Xero could address this limitation.

    The only workaround we can see available is to change the year-end date to the 30th or 31st where it is not already…

  12. Develop a booking calendar that integrates with our XPM client database. At the moment we have to run two different databases for the same information, to schedule bookings for clients with accountants/block out time for jobs.

  13. Currently the practice entity Xero blue file cannot be linked to a 'client' within the client list under the practice. This means users are unable to generate a workpaper pack for the practice.

    Our Practices need to be compliant too, if we are unable to use workpapers within the system, we have to find another solution for our workpapers

    There needs to be the ability to link the practice organisation to an entity within the client list.

  14. Hi Xero Support,
    I run a lunch club where members prepay in January for a bundle of 10 lunches for the year. Each lunch costs £27.
    The key point is that:
    Members are only charged a lunch when they actually attend
    If they do not attend a particular lunch, no deduction is made
    Unused lunches roll forward to the following year, or are offset against the next year’s invoice
    We invoice and take payment correctly in Xero in January for the full year ahead, but we then need to track usage of those prepaid lunches over time.

  15. Currently Xero only allows you to prepare Corporation Tax returns for the current and previous period. Sometimes you will need to amend an earlier period's return, or create a return for a period that was missed previously for some reason.

    These can't be filed online, and would need to go via post, but it would be great to be able to populate them within Xero rather than require handwriting them onto a print out and potentially transposing figures incorrectly.

  16. Currently, Practice Information (which contains key firm-wide settings, addresses, and details) appears to be missing a direct link in the main navigation menu (the left-hand sidebar).

    Issue: Users must navigate through multiple menus or settings screens to find and update core firm details.

    Request: Please add a clear, direct menu item for Practice Information to the main vertical menu bar for easy and immediate access.

    Implementing these changes would be a significant quality-of-life improvement for all XPM users. Thank you for considering this feature request!

  17. Overview:
    Currently, in Xero, the branding theme determines the payment terms and payment method for invoices and bills. While this approach works for general branding purposes, it limits flexibility when managing diverse customer or supplier requirements.

    Problem Statement:
    Many businesses have contacts with unique payment arrangements that do not align with a single branding theme. For example:

    Certain customers may require extended payment terms (e.g., 60 days) while others operate on shorter cycles (e.g., 30 days).
    Suppliers may prefer specific payment methods (e.g., EFT, credit card) that differ from the default settings.

    Hi Meehgan thanks for sharing this idea here. Appreciate having the need to have different payment terms for different contacts. While this is not an existing option in Xero, we are adding your idea to gaining support so that other members from the community are also able to add their comments and vote on this. :)

  18. Previously, checkbox options were all visible, without clicking.

    Now I have to click and see the options (extra clicks, I don't want extra clicks).

    Previously, I could click Opt Out and it would opt out... now I have to uncheck 3 x boxes (extra clicks, I don't want extra clicks). If I wanted to opt in, I could uncheck Opt Out and it would opt in... now I have to check 3 x boxes (extra clicks, I don't want extra clicks).

    What is it about making the product more efficient, not less efficient, do you not understand?

  19. Xero Tax pulls in the dates for the accounts from Companies House and assumes that the dates for the tax return will be the same. This might not always be the case - my example is due to the leap year causing problems

    I filed returns to Companies House and HMRC to include 29 Feb as the guidance suggested using my previous software. This was all accepted fine but now I am unable to file a CT600 using Xero tax because Companies House have the year starting on 29 Feb but HMRC have it on 1 Mar.

  20. We would like to be able to generate partnership and sole trader accounts in Xero without having to use Xero's fixed asset module. The fixed asset note generated in the accounts not is currently not fit for use without uploading all assets into the fixed asset module.

    Hi Victoria, thank you for sharing this idea with is. We understand that while the Fixed Assets module is a core part of Xero, many practices use specialized external software or custom spreadsheets to manage their asset registers. Currently, the UK Tax and Accounts Production workflow is designed to pull directly from the Xero Fixed Asset module to ensure data integrity, but we recognize that being "forced" into this workflow can create extra manual work for those using external tools.
