  1. Xero should create Fixed Assets as a draft if they are recoded from other accounts at a later date, rather than having to completely remove them and re-enter them as fixed assets.

  2. It is not currently possible to use Report Fields in a group heading in reports.

    We spend time setting up shareholder and director names in Report Fields but they can only be used in text blocks, not group headings in reports. If we could use Report Fields in group headings we could make report templates, such as the schedule of shareholder current accounts, more dynamic and automatic. See the screenshot attached for an example.

  3. Currently Xero pulls data from the connected ledger into Xero tax – it’s great! But its pulls the account name, when we’re often only changing the reporting name so as not to mess with a clients system.
    Would be beneficial if Xero tax pulled the reporting name rather than the account name through for linked accounts. Would make things more consistent between financials & tax return.

  4. Hi, I was wondering if it is possible to include some non financial data in zero ledgers for reporting?
    For Example - I would like to include a 'No. of Transactions' for a period that would not be a financial number (so no balancing required) but, this number would be available to add to reports i.e creating a cost per transaction.
    We used to call these 'SKU's' and generally they would Non Financial KPI's like:- production days, FTE's, LTI's or Units produced.
    Any help would be great.

    1. Enable partial sale of assets - allows one to dispose of assets that have been added as one transaction.

    2. Enable bulk sale of assets - allowing one to select all assets involved within a sale to be sold for one purchase price i.e. sale of a fitout of a Hairdresser, over the years they had purchased numerous items and completed numerous renovations.

  7. We have spent a significant amount of time creating our financial statement templates using the report codes to ensure consistency and quality. Using Edit Layout can cause significant issues, including notes not matching the numbers in the balance sheet. As a result, we require the ability to remove access to the Edit Layout function for selected users.
    This is a significant quality and risk issue.

  8. I understand the new journal report can add a column of "Posted by". it would be great if we can also add the "created by" and "edited by" in the report. We want to see a list of creator, editor and poster for each journal (with Journal details).

  9. Hi team

    We need Xero to be able to calculate tax correctly on part year returns for clients in Xero tax. Even though the date fields are available in your returns to show a part year, the tax is still calculated for a full year so the assessment from IRD differs from the return prepared in XPM.

    Currently the only option is to file via myIR which is really not good enough.

    Hi team, we appreciate the interest in being able to manage part year returns through Xero Tax for NZ. This isn't something we have in our plans at present.

    I can assure you our team are aware of the interest on this idea and if there's any progress we'll let you know through the idea here.

  15. Report similar to Approved_sentand_paid which shows receipts (Payments & credit) for a specified week and not including previous part payments in the Payment and credits collum. The report should match our banking / receipts for that specific week including part payments.

  16. Report for "Account Transactions" should only produce one line per transaction.

    Currently, the report splits off a separate line for the PST component of each transaction, adding "- PST" in the description and to the contact name, and pulls the PST amount out of "Gross".

    I need an account transaction report that includes GST, PST and the unit price in "gross" on a single line per transaction. These gross values will match the bank statement, and have the description/reference/contact and the account(s) the transaction was coded to.

    The easiest approach is to have additional columns to select from, and (critically)…

  18. Please put a menu item under the Accounting Menu for Journal Entry. I don't like having to run a report just to go to manual journals or to add a new journal. Just put "New Journal" under the advanced sub menu under accounting. If you are concerned about the average bookkeeper making journal entries, allow the ability for the admin to dictate which menu items are shown for different users.

  19. MANNUAL JOURNAL

    Please add a reference column for us to fill up so that posted journal are document in sequence number. The journal ID is actually act as audit trail Instead of journal reference number.

    Also, pleas please allow journal entries to be able to post entries to bank...its such a miserable, while journal entries supposingly existed to pass adjustment but doesn't allow pass entries....
