Bills - Add 'Make Payment' option available in Canada for 'Bills'.
In Canada, 'Make Payment' button is not available in 'Bills'. It would be nice to make payment directly from the Bills instead making payment from the bank.

Inventory - In-built calculator for Sale Price
Xero features a handy inbuilt calculator on its invoices. However, this feature is rather useless if one is populating the invoice with inventory items ("Products and Services") where the Cost Price and Sale Price have already been set, or migrating said items from Projects to a new invoice.
Having the inbuilt calculator in the Sale Price text box when setting up or updating Inventory Items would eliminate the need to keep switching from Xero to a calculator app to apply the correct markup for each item. Better yet would be a dropdown menu feature like is found in Projects to…

Purchase order - Show supplier aged balance when entering PO
Surface supplier aged balances during Bill and Purchase Order creation
When creating Bills or Purchase Orders, there is currently no visibility of a supplier’s outstanding or overdue balance without leaving the workflow to run reports.
This creates unnecessary friction between Finance and Purchasing teams, with buyers frequently needing to ask questions like “What do we owe this supplier?” or “Is their account overdue?” Finance teams are then forced to interrupt their work to manually check balances.
Proposed improvement:
Display a supplier aged balance summary (Current / 30 / 60 / 90+) directly on the Bill and PO entry screens once…1 voteThanks for sharing how this would be useful to you here, Charmaine.
As we have multiple product teams working across Xero it really helps for us to have ideas for each feature tracked separately in the forums here that we can consider and keep you updated through.
I've split your idea so we can track the interest in seeing this detail on a Purchase order, and another for viewing this within Bills across here.
This isn't something we have plans for at present but will track the interest and update if there are any plans made.

Bills - Add an option to hide or remove the Memo line on printed Cheque layouts
Allow users to remove or hide the memo line on check-style bill payments. Many businesses do not use the memo field, and it takes up unnecessary space on the check layout. Providing an option to disable or remove the memo line would simplify the check format and allow the check stub to display more relevant information such as vendor details, invoice numbers, or payment references. This would make the check layout more flexible and better suited to different business workflows.
1 voteHi Kevin, thanks for sharing this suggestion. Having the option to hide or remove the memo line on printed cheques could make the cheque layout more adaptable.
A simple layout setting to control this would give more flexibility over what is shown on cheque vouchers, especially where sensitive or internal information is involved.
We’ll continue tracking the feedback and interest shared here.

Batch Payments - Keep multiple payments to the same payee as separate lines
Currently when creating batch payment files, multiple bills to the same payee are combined into a single line with only one set of bank payment details (although they appear separate on the batch payment screen in Xero).
Sometimes different bank reference details are needed for each payment, and sending the details in a remittance advice is inappropriate - it would be helpful if the lines could remain separate rather than combined so that unique bank reference details could be added against each line for the same payee

Hubdoc - Navigation have a direct link from purchases and bills.
For organisations that have an active Hubdoc organisation, it would be helpful from a workflow perspective to:
1. Have a link from the main purchases dropdown menu direct to Hubdoc; and
2. On the various Bills tabs, have a link to HubdocThis would provide a trigger for users to remember there may be Bills needing approval/processing in Hubdoc; and even as a cross promotion for Hubdoc.

Bills - Sort bills by 2 or more variables
Sorting tool seems to be only for one criteria. It would be great to be able to sort bills by due date, then supplier or contact alphabetically as the 2nd sort request.

Set the Repeating Bill date to last day of month
I have many repeating bills set up, and many of my suppliers send the same invoice each month, e.g. Subscriptions. I set up all my bills to be repeating on 31st of January, which was great. Then Feb came and they were dated 28th Feb - Great again.. But now that March has 31 days, Xero has kept all my repeating bills to reapprove as 28th March, not 31st.
I would love to be able to choose more options on create/start date, like how when you create a repeating event in outlook, you can choose "last day of the month"…1 voteThanks for sharing your idea Georgia, and letting us know the changes that matter most for you.

Bills - Show and override tax amounts when entering
Please show the sales tax amounts that will be posted to each account (GST and RST) separately so we can reconcile to the receipt that is calculating properly. It would also be nice if we could manually override this amount as sometimes there is a small rounding difference. I am attaching an example from QBO. Please update your system to also have this functionality.

Purchase Orders - Print & email as a single option
Not sure why anything needed changing, it's now harder to use. Tab doesn't create a new line automatically, I now need to click on the line, thus making the process take more time. I can't email and print a PO at the same time, it now requires more effort, and making it all full screen strains my eyes. This 'update' feels like it wasn't tested and none of it is for the better.
1 voteAppreciate your feedback on the new Purchase order experience, Justin. This will be shared back with our product team.
You should find when you tab from the Description field to the quantity field a new row is automatically added to your PO.
I want to be upfront there are no intentions to allow switching back to the previous experience, however understand there is also a request around being able to Print and email in one click that would help improve your experience. I've adjusted the title of your idea here and we'll begin to get a sense of the interest for.

Hubdoc: Alert for Missing Supplier Bank Details
Feature Request: Hubdoc Alert for Missing Supplier Bank Details
We would like to submit a feature request for Hubdoc that we believe would significantly improve workflow efficiency. It would be extremely helpful to have an alert or notification within Hubdoc (or during bill processing) when a supplier does not have bank account details entered in Xero. At the moment, when new supplier accounts are created and bank details are missed, this is only discovered at the time of payment. This creates frustration and delays for the person processing payments, as they then need to stop, track down the details, and…

Batch payments - Ability to include credit notes
Allow the inclusion of Credit Notes in Batch Payments where the total to be paid to a supplier is still positive. This would allow a single batch for a Supplier to match their Statement, particularly where credit notes are not related to specific Bills.
911 votesHi everyone, our product teams are continuously reviewing and reprioritising their roadmaps for future work and although we don’t have any plans to change the credit application process this year, this is something we will investigate more closely in 2026.
As we begin to explore work for enabling credit notes in the bill payments flow, we’ll reach out for input to help us shape the design and approach so we cater for the widest possible requirements. Thank you all, and we’ll be back to share when exploration starts.

Purchase Order - Send option at the top of the page
New PO layout has added extra scroll and clicks to PO creation.
Bring back the ability to send the PO from the bottom of the screen.
We start at the top, select supplier, add the products going down... get to the bottom... and have to scroll all the way back up to search for the send button... why?
1 voteThanks for sharing your idea, and letting us know the changes that matter most for you. We can see how having to scroll back to the top of the page to send a purchase order adds extra steps to the workflow, particularly when the process naturally moves from top to bottom as details and line items are entered.
We’re moving this idea to Gaining Support so other customers can vote and add detail about how this impacts their workflow. Feedback and support on ideas like this helps our product teams better understand where changes may improve the overall experience.

API Apps - Allow the API to remove items archived in Xero from Hike POS.
From the people at Hike POS:
"We’d like to inform you that when a product is archived or removed in Xero, it does not automatically become inactive or get removed in Hike. This is due to API limitations on the Xero side that currently prevent this type of sync."Please update you API to allow syncing of archive products.

Bills - Automatically adjust the date on imported draft bills to a set date
We use Xero on top of a project management system (Deltek PIM) which generates employee expenses and supplier invoices. When we export them to Xero they sit as draft bills which we approve. If users of PIM enter an invoice/expense for a prior period, the transaction has to be redated in Xero to prevent it changing the historic management accounts. My suggestion is that there is an option within Draft Bills that would redate draft transaction dates (before posting) to a given date, say 1st of the open period.

Inventory - Update unit prices from a future date
ABILITY TO AUTOMATICALLY CHANGE ITEM PRICE ON A SPECIFIC DATE
Obviously item prices vary and when we give customers notice of a price change, sometimes this is months in advance. Now I know I could add a note to the item, but seriously, this would mean checking the notes for every item which would become very tiresome + time consuming.
I would like the ability to be able to go into a line item and be able to change the price of the item on a specific date, so that it when that date comes the item price has automatically…11 votesHi Kirstie
Thanks for sharing this idea about setting future prices for inventory items.
It's now up to the community to get behind and support your idea. Other members can now add their votes and comments about how this could also benefit them.
In the meantime, you'd need to edit the price at the relevant date, either manually or by exporting and importing your items if you need to update lots of prices at the same time.
