  1. As a Group Financial Administrator at an IT company operating in South Africa, I am writing to request the expansion of Xero Inventory Plus to regions outside the US.

    Our business relies heavily on accurate, real-time inventory tracking across multiple locations, and we currently face limitations due to the unavailability of Inventory Plus in our region.

    Suggested Features to Prioritize:

    1. FIFO and batch/serial tracking
    2. Multi-location inventory management
    3. Barcode scanning and sticker generation
    4. Real-time inventory valuation and reporting

  2. Batch payments of Foreign Currency Bills.

    Dear Xero,
    Please consider the feature of being able to batch up foreign currency Bills. We often pay multiple invoices in one go, having to reconcile and mark as paid 10 invoices is extremely time consuming.

    Hi team, appreciate wanting an update - I'm pleased to share the beta went well and we've now launched international bill payments for our UK customers, making it easier to pay overseas suppliers.

    Using open banking, UK businesses can now securely send money to 180+ countries including Europe (EUR), America (USD) and Australia (AUD). So you don't have to juggle multiple platforms or hidden fees. Whether you're paying a single bill or multiple bills at once, you can authorise payments prepared by your team and easily track which suppliers have been paid.

    We’re committed to new ways to expand our bill payments feature for small businesses and their advisors in other regions by leveraging new technologies, where available. I'll keep you updated of any further developments for this, here.

  3. Could you have an 'upload supplier credit notes' button, the same as you do for supplier invoices, because at the moment you have to enter any credit notes manually, and of course if you accidentally upload them under the supplier invoice button they appear as invoices and not credits!

    Thanks for sharing your idea about expanding this feature to include credit notes (and not create them as bills).

    Now it's up to the community to get behind and support your idea. Make sure you share it with any colleagues it could also benefit, so they can add their votes and comments too!

    In the meantime, it's possible to bulk import credit notes using a CSV file, but not via this feature.

  4. The periodical message that highlights "duplicate bills" and invariably just list recurring monthly bills from suppliers is incredibly annoying and simply wastes time.

    There should be an option to disable it. If users genuinely find it useful they could then of course utilise it, but for those of us who don't the ability to switch off would be beneficial.

    While we don't have any immediate changes planned for this, our team will consider improvements to this model overtime.

    For the time being we'll continue to keep our eyes on the support for this in community, here. I'll share if there is any news.

  5. Currently when selecting bills to pay in a batch, I can only select the 200 on the screen, then when you go to the next page you lose the selection on the first page. We routinely need to pay more than 200 bills in one bank batch - which means we have to create multiple bank payments.

    Please enable us to pay more than 200 bills in one batch.

  6. That would be great to make the Contact group field visible on the Bills to Pay screen to let us filter to certain contact groups when we are preparing a payment file.

    We use the contact groups for example to mark suppliers that are paid by Direct Debit, so this would be a useful feature to filter them out and do not pick their invoices up for a BACS payment.

  7. Navigation. Wouldn't it make life easier when paying bills if you could create a batch and then go directly back to the Purchases Overview to create the next one. At the moment it's Create a Batch Payment then > Purchases > Bills. Repeat the process.

  8. MY e-invoicing requires a tracking category in Xero. As we have clients which requires 2 tracking categories for their businesses, it is impossible to free up 1 tracking category for e-invoicing. Please look into this matter by considering adding a new tracking specific for e-invoicing.

    Hi team, we appreciate the appetite in this idea for being able to add more tracking categories to suit the needs of eInvioicing in Malaysia. We want to be open that while we have improvements planned for eInvoicing in Malaysia, increasing tracking categories isn't in our plans right now.

    I understand some in the conversation here may already be doing this however to highlight for others - Right now, if you use a Tracking category for this purpose you can also look to add a default tracking to a contacts record which may help with auto assigning these codes for customers you trade with frequently.

    We will continue to watch the interest through this idea closely, and share if there are any updates.

  9. New Bill Button - Please bring back the single click New Bill button. Anywhere I click on the New Bill button gives me a dropdown menu, requiring mouse movement and a second click. I would expect this to function in the same way as the new invoice button where you can click on the button to generate a new bill or you can click on the arrow down to see the dropdown menu. Bring back the single click efficiency.

    Thanks for your feedback on this change, Patricia. Out of interest is there a particular reason or workflow for why you prefer to enter your bills manually rather than via an upload?

    Appreciate, will take a little getting used to a different flow. A couple of other options for navigating to the new bill screen could also be;

    • Using the keyboard shortcuts (Alt+Shift+N) from the bills screen
    • Using the '+' icon in the navigation header to quickly Create a new Bill from any screen
    • Using '/' and typing 'b' in the global search where you'll get the option of New bill from any screen

    While we'll get a sense of interest in this through your idea, we want to be open that there aren't any plans for changing this back.

  10. When entering or editing a bill I need to be able to enter and see the account code. At present, you can only see the account name.

  11. Remittance Advice - Supplier Reconcilliation. One the occassion where a supplier has asked for remittance advice to be re-issued for multiple bill payments, it would be usefult to be able to select a supplier, then bulk-select individual bills that you want to re-issue the advice for, and send them again with one click. It wouldn't matter if they were sent as separate PDF's or emails, but a quicker way to do this would be much appreciated.

    Hi Hayley thanks for sharing this idea here. We can appreciate how this might be useful for users so we're moving this idea to gain more support from the community. You can now share this idea with your friends and colleagues who may also wish to see this feature in Xero. We will monitor this space for traction in the meantime.

  12. Once you close a period, pulled all the accounts and happy with the financial position, you close the period to stop posting to that period. But when you receive a old supplier invoice, which has been accrued in, Xero does not allow you to post the invoice without re-opening the period date. This means, you either reverse your accrual journal to post the older invoice, changing the financial position or manully altering the invoice date, to post it into current period. Increases workload and hassle. It also means your supplier account does not mirror with their accounts with dates. Xero…

  15. Bills are listed as 'duplicate' even tho they are monthly recurring bills so even tho the amounts are the same, the dates are different. Is there any way of these monthly bills not being listed as 'duplicate'. wastes a lot of time checking.

  16. Add the 'Upload bills' feature as a widget on the Dashboard, for convenience.
    At present you have to navigate to 'Bills to pay', then from the 'New bill' dropdown, select 'Upload bills'. It's a great time saving feature, but seems tucked away, and would be great if right from the dashboard I could just drop bills, and invoices, ready to process later.

  17. Improve xero invoice (accounts payable) scaning function so that it is as good as Dext, thereby saving money for Xero customers (or maybe Xero just buys the Dext app in makes it the default scanning tool)

  18. The functionality to be able to raise and approve a Purchase Order which, at the point of approval, would create a double entry in the general ledger. Specifically:

    • Debit a Work in Progress (WIP) expenses account (to reflect anticipated expenditure),

    • Credit a creditors account (to reflect the anticipated liability).

    This would allow the PO to reflect a commitment in the accounts, enabling better management of Work In Progress and projected costs before the supplier invoice arrives.

    In an ideal world, to be able to allocate the PO to a Xero Project, so that WIP and anticipated costs appear…

  20. invoice email template options for placeholders allow for the 'reference' placeholder to be inserted.

    This needs to be available to be inserted into the remittance email template.

    As the placeholder exists, can it be allowed to the dropdown for remittance?
