An error occurred while saving the comment Tanya Spence commentedAbsolutely crazy that this is an issue in Xero. Why can't xero accrue leave on all "ordinary earnings" category pay items. Simple!!!! Why this was setup the way it is with only one ordinary earnings category to be able to accrue leave is beyond me. Please fix this!!!

Thanks to everyone that participated in and shared back on the team’s research in the new invoicing layout. Taking your feedback on board our teams have made some improvements to the layout of new invoicing, including changes to the layout of fields and buttons.
By rearranging and condensing space between fields, you’ll find there is less white space than previously shown, making it easier to navigate and tab through fields when entering your invoices.We’re actively looking into changes within the invoicing grid that’ll go further to condensing information on the screen and reducing actions when entering your invoices. We’ll update as there is more information to share on this.

Hi community, thanks for getting involved here and letting us know the importance around being able to see the details whenever an invoice is sent from Xero. We understand the importance of this to our customers and our product team are beginning to review this idea to solve needs in this space. Hi everyone, some time on since my last update I wanted to give you more of an idea of the work we have going on to help reduce the number of steps and actions in new invoicing. Along with the changes mentioned in my last update, we've since released a change to the view of an invoice to shift details back into their own columns (similar to classic), while a small change we know it's improved visibility for some of our customers.
We also have other work in development atm that’ll further help here like a new line item grid when editing your invoice - wrapped up in this we’ll be introducing changes you’ve been asking for like the ability to create a new tracking option or account code without having to navigate away from the invoice, we’re increasing the number of items that you can view from the drop…
An error occurred while saving the comment Tanya Spence commentedI am a fairly basic user in our organisation Xero file and I have had yet another attempt at the new invoicing:
Firstly the positives
- When you select 'approve and next' it flags that there is a credit for the client
- it shows the credit in the awaiting approval stage - this has been there for a while but it's still a plus as it wasn't in classic
- when the invoice is emailed it now shows the date/time and email address (the main reason I went back to classic)The negatives:
- please please please reduce the white space. I have had to reduce the resolution on the screen to make it in anyway usable
- If I approve and next, then realise there is a credit, I apply that credit and then can't email the invoice unless I go back. very clunky. If I approve so that I can apply the credit, then email the paid invoice, I have to get right out to go back to the invoices to approve. This is similar to classic but something that I was hoping would work smoother, particularly when we are triggered to apply credit on "apply and next"all in all, sorry Xero, it is still an absolute dogs breakfast and I hope to see it flow better soon.
- this layout is so flippin ugly, lines the line doesn't show on the description column, it is ridiculously hard to read and follow
- the email (from the invoice) is not in an obvious spot and too man clicks to get there.Tanya Spence supported this idea · -

An error occurred while saving the comment Tanya Spence commentedThis is essential for any sort of audit trail. Just having a note saying "sent" is completely unhelpful. What if the client disputes that it was sent? How do we have any sort of proof where it was sent. We use this feature extensively to ensure we are sending the invoice to the correct address and is this is almost the sole reason we stopped using it.

Hi everyone, as another step toward improving history of new invoicing you'll find you'll now see an entry when an invoice is sent, and the email address it has been sent to.
We appreciate this is something we've heard a fair amount of feedback on and we hope helps in your journey to using new invoicing.
We still have more enhancements on the way for history and I'll be back again when more updates land.

Given that super is not calculated on unused leave and with STP2 unused leave payments need to be separated, it would be great to have Xero report these amounts separately on the payroll reports.

Hi community, first off thank you for the continued interest and feedback surrounding this idea. We’re continuing to build on the bank reconciliation experience in Xero and recognise the ways this feature will help improve the efficiency, flexibility and transparency of transactions in your business. Our team have done a lot of exploration into being able to surface and match Credit Notes when reconciling your bank account in Xero, and this is now in development.
We’ll shift the idea here into ‘Working on it’ and continue to update as there’s more detail of this to share.

Hi everyone, we appreciate wanting to hear from us on this idea and apologies for not commenting sooner. I can assure you this has not gone unnoticed and internally there have been reviews and discussions for how batch payments can be improved. We have the appetite, but as with all developments this must be weighed up and considered against many other important changes needed in product.
We want to be upfront that developing the ability to include Credit notes in Batch payments has not been planned at this stage.
As some may have seen, we do have work going on around being able to include Credit Notes as part of the reconciliation process. We understand for many on this idea the timing of including credit notes when you’re creating the batch payments is crucial, however we hope that when delivered at least being able to reconcile these more efficiently…

Our AU Payroll team are testing some changes to Payroll reconciliation. The idea to create an AU payroll reporting pack is highly associated with payroll reconciliation and we feel that voters here would also have an interest in payroll reconciliation. They would love to hear from you!
They’re aiming to conduct some 1 on 1 interviews between 6 Feb - 16 Feb 2024, the interviews will last 45 minutes.
The purpose of the session: Participants will be asked to help with testing a prototype concept designed to enhance the AU payroll reconciliation process.
They aim to discover:
- Whether this conceptual solution meets your specific Payroll needs, and if it adds value to your Payroll reconciliation process?

Payroll reports are the main ones that are missing. Please include, it makes no sense that they are not included.

Hi team, I wanted to share that the recent updates for the Reconcile page have now been released to all users. This includes a search bar at the top of the page and includes filters for date range and amount. This provides the ability to look up criteria of your statement lines and narrow down your search.
You'll also find you can now view more statement lines per page, with up to 50 at a time - You'll find more on this and other updates shared on our blog.
We appreciate the ask on this idea is a search across all statement lines, across all bank accounts. I want to confirm this is not something we have plans for developing at this stage, and I'll move this idea back to 'submitted' so we can continue to track and update you if there is any progress of this, here.
