Hi community, thanks for getting involved here and letting us know the importance around being able to see the details whenever an invoice is sent from Xero. We understand the importance of this to our customers and our product team are beginning to review this idea to solve needs in this space. We'll move to Under review and I'll let you know as there's more progress here. Thanks

Hi everyone, as another step toward improving history of new invoicing you'll find you'll now see an entry when an invoice is sent, and the email address it has been sent to.
We appreciate this is something we've heard a fair amount of feedback on and we hope helps in your journey to using new invoicing.
We still have more enhancements on the way for history and I'll be back again when more updates land.

THis still doesn't work as of 9th April 2025. Invoices 'Marked as Unsent' when they were NOT marked as unsent (approved after being sent as a draft).
Overdue invoices manually emailed to an alternative contact (where the recipient is not selectable from a list of contacts from the email screen - another issue I have), there is no history or audit trail of this ever happening. I have to create a manual note entry in the history and type out a description of who I have emailed to.

Hi community, we understand how being able to add a persons job title in contacts would help distinguish and identify within a contact.
Being open, this isn't something we have plans of for the time being. Right now, though not the ideal solution you could possibly use the notes feature in contacts to add detail of the differentials. We know this won't solve the needs for everyone in the idea but may help for some scenarios.
If there is any plans made around this we will update you of this, here.

Hi everyone, totally get wanting to get an update from us on the idea here. Having a fair amount of interest from users I can say that Quote reminders are defintiely on the teams radar, however with current focus largely on new invoicing we do not have any immediate plans for this in the next 6 months.
I can assure you, though we mightn't be able to provide updates as frequently as you'd like to see, our product teams are heavily involved in the forums here and our community team often connect to share trends, discuss developments and externally communicate changes that are coming across Xero products. It's important to us to continue developing Xero to streamline payments and help our customers get paid sooner, and your idea here does sit in this realm.
When the teams resources open up and we can consider new development in Quotes like being…

Hi community, we appreciate all the feedback you've shared on how we can improve new invoicing for your needs.
In relation to the alert of available credit as raised in this idea, we've identified there are a few situations for Invoice only users where the available credit pop up isn't being shown. This is something we have plans to fix, and while I can't give a specific date on the idea here, we want you to know this is important to us and I'll keep you updated on progress here.

Brad is bang on, and these changes remove basic user functionality - like taking away the global search field

you've given us the ability to add more than one person per contact, but are whittling away the ability to use this functionality.
I have several contacts who I send quotes, invoices, statements and purchase orders to. I need four different email addresses.
A drop down box to select which email to use, or default for different type of form would be wonderful.
In the newly rolled out quote form, the ONLY email address sent to is the primary person - even if I've ticked the checkbox to 'include in emails' for secondary contacts. -

Hi everyone, as much as we appreciate the feedback and interest of being able to receive a notification of whether an invoice has successfully sent. The team priority right now is around the body of the invoice within Xero.
We want to be transparent in this here and will move the status of the idea back to submitted.
We will let you know of any change.

This is CRUCIAL.
I've just received an email that wasn't pleasant to read, in regard to 'poor service levels' after a customer didn't receive a quote that was promised.
I did send the quote, earlier than promised - yet Xero didn't send it. If I delve in to the 'history and notes' there is a line there showing the action as 'not sent'.Xero has the ability to recognise that there was an error, yet fails to notify the client of the issue.
THIS MUST BE ADDRESSED. People will lose business through this flaw in the system.

Hi community, we understand your needs in this feature and want to assure you were taking on board all your feedback.
As many of you accustom to this idea will know, multiple addresses requires a complex solution. It's been something we’ve been moving towards for some time and we’ve done a lot of back end work that will allow us to bring it to you in the future.
We have 12 different products within Xero that rely on contact data, as well as many of our app partners. This means that contacts need to seamlessly flow across technology, products and all connections on Xero. And that’s exactly what we’ve been working on.
One of the reasons we announced the retirement of classic invoicing is because many of the features being asked for, just can’t be brought into classic invoicing. The old technology has too many technology limitations to enable this.…

Hey community,
As some of you are aware, you can edit a contact and set a credit limit, and optionally block new invoices when the credit limit is reached in new invoicing.
Understand that a few of you are asking for a feature to put a stop on a contact so they can’t be sent invoices regardless of what their credit limit is, as well as others who'd like to see this implemented on the supplier side.
We'd like to confirm that this is not something we have plans to develop at this time. We're still interested to get a clearer understanding of users that'd like to see this developed, and will continue to track this through the conversation here 👀
If there's any change we will let you know on the thread. Thanks

Hi everyone, we thoroughly appreciate hearing where our users would like to see change across Xero. We also hear feedback through many other sources, and realistically while we’d love to, we simply cannot work on all things at once. Our product teams must make hard choices on where, and what to develop everyday, to continue delivering consistently high value to our customers.
That being said, there are no plans to make Xero a fully functioning email system for communicating with your contact base, like what’s being asked here. Focus for the team at present is needed on more critical projects, such as building on beautiful. There are many integrations available through our ecosystem, if you don’t find one specifically for sending out bulk emails to contacts, you could approach a custom-cloud integrator to build one for you at a fee.
I know this isn’t the news you’re hoping…

Hi everyone, apologies we've not provided an update here before now. Over the past year there's been a lot of development throughout Sales, more centralised around the new invoicing experience. With the upgraded technology new invoicing is built on we've been able to begin developing the send experience, with improvements to customise and send invoices, and help you get paid faster.
Being able to automate the send of customer statements is high on our product teams radar, however we want to be transparent that this isn't planned in the short term. As we continue to develop and uplift throughout the Sales experience this is definitely an area the team will draw closer attention to, however with lots of different projects on the go we aren't able to bring focus to this right now.
I want to assure you we'll keep reviewing this idea, and will share as soon as there's…

@KellyMunro, is there any movement on this in the last 7 months. Seems like a very slow response time for a critical issue...
