Hi everyone, our product teams are continuously reviewing and reprioritising their roadmaps for future work and although we don’t have any plans to change the credit application process this year, this is something we will investigate more closely in 2026.
As we begin to explore work for enabling credit notes in the bill payments flow, we’ll reach out for input to help us shape the design and approach so we cater for the widest possible requirements. Thank you all, and we’ll be back to share when exploration starts.

I suspect JAX has put in a request for this feature 🤣
Or perhaps more likely the people checking the AI auto bank rec have noticed this is actually an essential function

Hi community, first off thank you for the continued interest and feedback surrounding this idea. We’re continuing to build on the bank reconciliation experience in Xero and recognise the ways this feature will help improve the efficiency, flexibility and transparency of transactions in your business. Our team have done a lot of exploration into being able to surface and match Credit Notes when reconciling your bank account in Xero, and this is now in development.
We’ll shift the idea here into ‘Working on it’ and continue to update as there’s more detail of this to share.

Same for a % increase due to an ATO approved Medicare levy variation.
Having to manually calculate taxes in a product you pay a premium for is slightly ridiculous

I believe QBO is the only "regular software" which offers this. Neither Reckon, MYOB, nor Xero can do it.

Anyone know when clients currently on the GST Cashbook plan are getting kicked off? I thought the boot was due March 2025, but apparently not.

With an import function please, so we can lodge TPARs in XPM regardless of the data source

Hi everyone, we get how a 'pause' button would help when juggling multiple tasks, and avoid the need to stop and restart the timer. We want to be honest that there aren't any plans for developing a pause option within XPM. Our teams focus for the time being is on development of the unified practice experience that'll soon be released with the Xero Partner Hub. You can read more on this through our website.

Would also be great to be able to sit a return Amendment under the contemporaneous Amendment job.

Appreciate your feedback on the idea here. As a grounds to start from we thought it would help to confirm;
- There is a two way sync of your clients between Practice Manager and your practice Xero organisation Contacts
- The sync between XPM and your practice Xero organisation contacts is different - we’ve explained this more below
Differences between Xero Practice Manager(XPM) and your practice Xero organisation sync
- Client will sync with your organisation’s Contacts depending on your Xero connection setup - more on Xero Central
- This is controlled by users with the Administrator role and can be set to ‘Never’, ‘Only when uploading invoices’ or ‘Every time client or supplier details are updated’

Hi team, while it isn't possible to make a negative reimbursement line in an employees pay template, you could set up a deduction pay item.
A deduction item would function the same as the negative reimbursement line, as well as being able to be added into the employees pay template.
It'd be good to understand more if there's a reason using a deduction wouldn't be adequate here.

Hi everyone, thanks for your continued engagement and support for the idea of making tracking categories mandatory in Xero. We really appreciate you sharing your insights on the benefits that adding this feature would bring to your financial reporting and month-end processes.
Right now, you could use find and recode to assign a tracking option to any transaction lines that are currently unassigned.
Regarding the future of this idea, we've carefully reviewed all your feedback and the critical need you've expressed for this feature. While we understand the value and time-saving potential this improvement would bring, we want to be transparent that making tracking categories mandatory across all relevant transactions isn't on our roadmap for development. If our position of this changes in time, we'll share an update for everyone, here.

Anita, it's only in Beta testing at the moment, but I suspect the need for the deveopers to actually interact with the process has revealed some of the flaws we've been trying to tell them about.
Here's an article on it https://central.xero.com/s/article/About-auto-bank-reconciliation-powered-by-JAX
