Thanks for joining and following in the idea here, everyone. While early exploration has been done in this area, we want to be upfront that we don't have any short term plans for developing the ability to track quotes on the dashboard.
At present, you may find search in the navigation a quick way to navigate to all quotes by typing 'q'.
If there is any change planned in this space we'll be sure to update you on this.

Hi all, because of this we started using Nook to make our batch payments, as it automatically sends a remittance for every payment and worked out for us cheaper that using the Xero batch payment that was 24p each one and didn't send auto-remittances. It syncs with Xero so we pay our supplier pay runs and payroll on there with a couple of clicks. Hope this might help you!

Please could you look into this Xero? We are using the new paid payments feature in Xero - but remittances are not sent for us! We are sending about 20+ payments each time, and clicking an individual payment then multiple clicks to send a remittance one at a time is crazy....

Hi everyone, we appreciate wanting to hear from us on this idea and apologies for not commenting sooner. I can assure you this has not gone unnoticed and internally there have been reviews and discussions for how batch payments can be improved. We have the appetite, but as with all developments this must be weighed up and considered against many other important changes needed in product.
We want to be upfront that developing the ability to include Credit notes in Batch payments has not been planned at this stage.
As some may have seen, we do have work going on around being able to include Credit Notes as part of the reconciliation process. We understand for many on this idea the timing of including credit notes when you’re creating the batch payments is crucial, however we hope that when delivered at least being able to reconcile these more efficiently…

Yes, Paul Berry, we have moved to using Nook for our batch payments, as in Xero you couldn't bulk send a remittance to all the suppliers in the batch. Clicking each one was just silly. Nook has helped us a lot - but haven't tried it for adding credits yet.

So my request is to have the contact group show on invoices AWAITING PAYMENT thanks

We send invoices from our bakery software, but as many of our customers also use Xero it would be much better to also have a contact group 'Uses Xero' so that I can filter invoices awaiting payment, the relevant dates, and send the Xero version of the invoices to customers.
Currently there is no way to do this.Anita | Botham's of Whitby supported this idea ·

Yes - currently the Bill reference is used for single bill payment - but when paying multiple bills to one supplier (applying the toggle on the top left), this is removed and you have to free-type something in it's place? Why is this Xero? Please use the customer default reference for bulk payments!

Appreciate no direct feature for this at present, Grace and we'll begin to get a sense of the interest in this here. In the meantime, perhaps including the request in the invoice Terms and Conditions could be a good indicator that this is something you request of your customers when sending the invoice or reminders?

With the new Direct Pay, you cannot send the remittances in one click as you can when using the payment file option.
You are expected to click on each payment one by one and click send remittance, this takes more time than the other way.
Please could 'send remittances' be a button that sends to everyone after making the Direct bank payment? They are grouped together when making the payment - could there be a tick box to say 'Send remittances to Suppliers' before pressing 'Pay' perhaps? Or after the successful payment, a Button to 'Send remittances'?

Hey everyone, just a quick update on this one, as it was shifted to delivered in error.
Whilst we have refreshed the VAT dashboard widget with a new look, it does not display your current VAT liability - apologies for the confusion.
We’ll be opening this idea back up to votes and feedback from the community.
As the team have confirmed this is one they’re exploring, we’ll pop it in ‘working on it’ for now.

Hi community, we appreciate all the feedback you've shared on how we can improve new invoicing for your needs.
In relation to the alert of available credit as raised in this idea, we've identified there are a few situations for Invoice only users where the available credit pop up isn't being shown. This is something we have plans to fix, and while I can't give a specific date on the idea here, we want you to know this is important to us and I'll keep you updated on progress here.

Thanks for your engagement here, Charl. While not a complete solution you may find the use of the 'Home' button on your keyboard helps you quickly navigat back up the page 🙂

Yes I agree - or be able to save a default 'Reference' to use when paying multiple bills either at company level (eg a short company name) or at supplier level as the poster suggests.
Here is my example of faff I have had to edit before paying our bill today, and this is only about 1/3 of the bills.... seems unnecessary time which could be saved.

Appreciate the interest here, everyone. Being open this isn't something we have current plans for.
Thanks for noting the optional paths atm, Paula! Understand it's not the solution being asked here however for those that haven't already we'd recommend looking to connect Hubdoc to help automate the process. 🙂

Thanks for your continued engagement with us on this idea, everyone. We understand there are many different ways business work and conduct business with customers, and that you need more flexibility in the way you manage and receive payments for invoices with Xero. While pockets of research have been done in the past we’re getting a fresh lens and conducting a broader piece of discovery to deeply analyse and understand where our efforts could be focused in this space to alleviate existing hurdles in receiving payments for majority of Xero users. We’d like to open the invite to be a part of our teams research pool, where you’d get the chance to share more on the importance of managing payments for your business. This may involve being interviewed, or helping answer questions through short surveys or questionnaires.
✍️ If this is something you’d like to be a part of, please …

It would be so handy to have a small section on the dashboard that just highlighted Quotes (QTY of) and the qyt of quotes in each status. For example, being able to see at first glance how many are in Draft, Sent, Declined, Accepted, Invoiced.
Presently, you have to 'go looking' to see these, where other areas of the business are shown on the dashboard to get a general overview of work.
