Thanks for joining and following in the idea here, everyone. While early exploration has been done in this area, we want to be upfront that we don't have any short term plans for developing the ability to track quotes on the dashboard.
At present, you may find search in the navigation a quick way to navigate to all quotes by typing 'q'.
If there is any change planned in this space we'll be sure to update you on this.

Hi everyone, to keep you updated on this idea work in this space will provide the ability to add a new blank row to your invoice one at a time. Once added you'll also have the ability to drag and drop the row to where you'd like it placed in your invoice, which we know some customers use to help format their invoices and space lines out.
I appreciate that some customers have mentioned wanting to add multiple blank rows at once, and want to be open that this isn't planned with this release.
Being under development atm, we plan to have this to you all before classic invoicing is retired and I'll be back as soon as it's out to let you know, here.
An error occurred while saving the comment Anita | Botham's of Whitby commentedAgree with what everyone is saying here - we want to be able to add lines first and then enter text as required. ****, have both options Xero if you like? Just add back the Add more lines button and everyone's happy.

An error occurred while saving the comment Anita | Botham's of Whitby commentedHi all, because of this we started using Nook to make our batch payments, as it automatically sends a remittance for every payment and worked out for us cheaper that using the Xero batch payment that was 24p each one and didn't send auto-remittances. It syncs with Xero so we pay our supplier pay runs and payroll on there with a couple of clicks. Hope this might help you!
An error occurred while saving the comment Anita | Botham's of Whitby commentedPlease could you look into this Xero? We are using the new paid payments feature in Xero - but remittances are not sent for us! We are sending about 20+ payments each time, and clicking an individual payment then multiple clicks to send a remittance one at a time is crazy....

Hi everyone, we appreciate wanting to hear from us on this idea and apologies for not commenting sooner. I can assure you this has not gone unnoticed and internally there have been reviews and discussions for how batch payments can be improved. We have the appetite, but as with all developments this must be weighed up and considered against many other important changes needed in product.
We want to be upfront that developing the ability to include Credit notes in Batch payments has not been planned at this stage.
As some may have seen, we do have work going on around being able to include Credit Notes as part of the reconciliation process. We understand for many on this idea the timing of including credit notes when you’re creating the batch payments is crucial, however we hope that when delivered at least being able to reconcile these more efficiently…
An error occurred while saving the comment Anita | Botham's of Whitby commentedYes, Paul Berry, we have moved to using Nook for our batch payments, as in Xero you couldn't bulk send a remittance to all the suppliers in the batch. Clicking each one was just silly. Nook has helped us a lot - but haven't tried it for adding credits yet.

An error occurred while saving the comment Anita | Botham's of Whitby commentedSo my request is to have the contact group show on invoices AWAITING PAYMENT thanks
An error occurred while saving the comment Anita | Botham's of Whitby commentedWe send invoices from our bakery software, but as many of our customers also use Xero it would be much better to also have a contact group 'Uses Xero' so that I can filter invoices awaiting payment, the relevant dates, and send the Xero version of the invoices to customers.
Currently there is no way to do this.Anita | Botham's of Whitby supported this idea · -

An error occurred while saving the comment Anita | Botham's of Whitby commentedYes - currently the Bill reference is used for single bill payment - but when paying multiple bills to one supplier (applying the toggle on the top left), this is removed and you have to free-type something in it's place? Why is this Xero? Please use the customer default reference for bulk payments!

Appreciate no direct feature for this at present, Grace and we'll begin to get a sense of the interest in this here. In the meantime, perhaps including the request in the invoice Terms and Conditions could be a good indicator that this is something you request of your customers when sending the invoice or reminders?

Anita | Botham's of Whitby supported this idea ·An error occurred while saving the comment Anita | Botham's of Whitby commentedWith the new Direct Pay, you cannot send the remittances in one click as you can when using the payment file option.
You are expected to click on each payment one by one and click send remittance, this takes more time than the other way.
Please could 'send remittances' be a button that sends to everyone after making the Direct bank payment? They are grouped together when making the payment - could there be a tick box to say 'Send remittances to Suppliers' before pressing 'Pay' perhaps? Or after the successful payment, a Button to 'Send remittances'?

Hey everyone, just a quick update on this one, as it was shifted to delivered in error.
Whilst we have refreshed the VAT dashboard widget with a new look, it does not display your current VAT liability - apologies for the confusion.
We’ll be opening this idea back up to votes and feedback from the community.
As the team have confirmed this is one they’re exploring, we’ll pop it in ‘working on it’ for now.

Hi community, we appreciate you engaging and letting us know the importance of drag and dropping files into your invoices.
Since the release of the attach files feature within new invoicing our teams have being paying close attention to feedback and understand the efficiency you need in this process.
This is something our team are looking to make improvements for and we'll shift the idea to working on it. As this develops I'll keep you updated of news and provide more detail through the idea, here.

Hi team, as you may have noticed we've made a change to the Invoice Date and Due Date fields that now allows you to type in these fields rather than having to select a date from the calendar drop down. It does still require entering delimiters between day month and year such as a '.' or '/' (we understand there are a few situations when entering US date formats and are continuing to look into this).
We're working on also adding this functionality to the Payment date, and I'll keep you in the know of when this is made available, here.

Thanks to everyone that participated in and shared back on the team’s research in the new invoicing layout. Taking your feedback on board our teams have made some improvements to the layout of new invoicing, including changes to the layout of fields and buttons.
By rearranging and condensing space between fields, you’ll find there is less white space than previously shown, making it easier to navigate and tab through fields when entering your invoices. We’re actively looking into changes within the invoicing grid that’ll go further to condensing information on the screen and reducing actions when entering your invoices. We’ll update as there is more information to share on this.

Thanks for your engagement here, Charl. While not a complete solution you may find the use of the 'Home' button on your keyboard helps you quickly navigat back up the page 🙂

An error occurred while saving the comment Anita | Botham's of Whitby commentedYes I agree - or be able to save a default 'Reference' to use when paying multiple bills either at company level (eg a short company name) or at supplier level as the poster suggests.
Here is my example of faff I have had to edit before paying our bill today, and this is only about 1/3 of the bills.... seems unnecessary time which could be saved.

It would be so handy to have a small section on the dashboard that just highlighted Quotes (QTY of) and the qyt of quotes in each status. For example, being able to see at first glance how many are in Draft, Sent, Declined, Accepted, Invoiced.
Presently, you have to 'go looking' to see these, where other areas of the business are shown on the dashboard to get a general overview of work.
