Thanks for all your engagement on this idea. We understand that the option to post receive money transactions from Hubdoc is important to all who've supported this, however we want to be transparent that this isn't a feature we're currently working on.
Please continue to add your support to this idea and if there are any changes around this we'll share with you all, here.

The documents no longer display the date they were added like they did in classic invoicing. The date also doesn't show in the history section so there's no way of knowing when documents were added.
When you have multiple people working on the same organisation you need to be able to clearly see things like this.

Thanks for your interest in this idea, everyone. We understand there are different ways our customers find useful when entering dates for invoices in Xero.
Based on feedback our team are looking at improvements to the date pickers in new invoicing. While I can't confirm exactly what these will entail atm, we'll shift the idea to working on it and I'll be back to confirm when we have more of the detail.

In bank reconciliation the options are still the other way around which makes it even harder to keep up a good workflow. It would be very easy to change the order of the buttons and keep it consistent between invoicing and bank rec. Please update this.

We can do this in the bank reconciliation when creating new transactions, please allow us to do it in new invoicing as well. At the moment I need to have another tab open to view the files. Yet another workaround I've had to implement in order to make Xero usable.

Hi Rory, while it's not possible to set up a default email template for a contact at present you can set a default currency & branding theme.
This might go some way toward helping you communicate with contacts in different locations. 🙂 - See our help article here

Thanks to everyone that contributed and gave feedback to the teams survey that was shared in my last update.
There was a lot of valuable insights that the team are able to take from this as they continue to plan whats next in invoicing.
We understand and appreciate there are different flows for how our customers invoicing, and the timing of adding files can be dependent on these flows also.
Our team are currently reviewing and exploring solutions to enable attachment of files to an invoice prior to the Contact. As soon as I have more news around this I'll be sure to share with you all through the idea here.

Thanks for the added detail, everyone. It's good to be able to share this detail back with our teams.
Appreciate why Bank Rules won't help for cash accounts and where you don't have a bank feed coming into the account.
Being open, this isn't something we have plans for changing in the short-term. We'll leave the idea open for our product team to continue considering how we could improve efficiency in some of the situations you've described. If there are any updates we'll share this with you all here.

Bank rules only work for accounts that have statements either through bank feeds or manual imports.
The problem is with accounts that don't have statements imported, like petty cash or till floats. Bank rules are useless and you can't post manual journals so everything needs to be done via individual spend/receive money transactions
This is so laborious and there needs to be an option to allow manual journals to be posted to bank accounts. I understand that some users may need protected from accidentally causing imbalances in the accounts but a vast number of Xero users are accountants and bookkeepers who know what they're doing and need to be able to make these entries.

Hi community, thanks for your input and support into this idea for auto updating related journals when an auto-reversing journal is edited.
While the team began to look into work involved, priorities have shifted and this is not something we'll be looking to develop at this time.
We'll move the status back to submitted and keep you informed if there is any movement.

It's really frustrating that there isn't a way to do this. I accidentally click the OK button quite a lot but I don't always see what I clicked it on so I have to go and try to find the transaction

Hi Karen, appreciate you shared this feedback sometime ago. Looping back to better understand your idea here - Is there a specific part of Xero you find shows too much white space?
This will help when sharing your feedback with our product teams internally.

Thanks so much for sharing your feedback on this idea, community. We appreciate that having to manually select attachments on every invoice can feel a little fiddly. We get that you want a smoother workflow, that saves you time.
As noted by others in the idea, one option for now would be to add standard files, like your terms and conditions, directly to your invoice template. That way, they'll be included automatically when you send out your invoices.
To confirm how this functionality currently works - this is based on the user and driven by the last invoice that was sent. Where you have files attached, and you had selected to include files as an attachment when emailing the invoice, the next invoice you send with file attachments should have this selected by default.
A caveat to this is when you are working in incognito mode, or refresh your browser…

Hi team, following on from my last update though our position remains that we don't have plans for making all reports available in report templates we wanted to share a recent change we have made.
We have unlocked the ability to add client-specific custom reports to Adviser packs, giving you additional flexibility and more comprehensive reporting, which we know has been a key request for some in the idea here.
As mentioned in our last post - we're very keen to continue to understand the interest in specific reports, so if not already please make sure to add your support or start an idea for a the report you'd like to see. Thanks

Hey everyone, thanks for engaging with this idea about being able to attach PDF bank or credit card statements directly to reconciliation reports in Xero. We know this can help simplify the cross-check process.
Right now there is the ability to upload statements into the Files inbox where you could create a dedicated folder for these type of files. However we understand the limitation in that this doesn't link them to report as you'd like here.
Our product team are looking into possible ways to attach files within the banking space and how we might fit it into the reconciliation workflow. It’s early days, and we’ll share an update when there's more news.

In Xero we can enable payments on any account which allows us to post payments from that account directly. In Hubdoc you can only post spend money transactions from accounts listed as 'bank accounts' in Xero. This creates extra work for us when reconciling accounts as we also aren't able to post journals to bank accounts in Xero so we have to find a work around.
Please update Hubdoc also include any accounts that have payments enabled
