Inventory - Increase all item prices by a percentage
An option to increase the price for ALL products in the database by a percentage.
13 votesHi community, our product team have started exploring some improvements in inventory in Xero with the ability to bulk update the sales price of inventory items by a percentage being one they've set their eyes on!

Hyperlinks
We would like to be able to share hyperlinks of transactions (any, bill, invoice...) to other people.
1 voteThanks for your response, Elsa. If the user has access to the organisation you could share the browser URL of the invoice or bill you're on. This contains a transactions ID. The user would need to be logged into Xero and then when they go to that link it'd open that invoice.
I guess the second part of your idea here when you mention the hyperlink - Is there somewhere specific or a method you're using that you'd want to share the link?

Projects - Different staff cost rate per project
We charge our consultants at a different cost rate per customer project and pay them a different cost rate per engagement. This is negotiated with them at the start of the gig and applies only to that Project.
I want to set a different staff rate per project per staff member.

Bank Accounts - Set up loan schedule and amortization
I think we should be able to create with a loan schedule with interest rates, term and amortization instead of having to manually enter the transaction.

We do have some information on Xero Central that may help some here with managing loans in Xero.
We will continue to monitor the community support for this in the forums here, and share if there are any updates.

Customer Statements - Ageing (30, 60, 90days)
It would be great if we could add ageing on client/customer statements. (Current, 30, 60, 90 days) Many clients have requested that the ageing be displayed on their statements. Current, overdue and total isn't detailed enough..
418 votesHi everybody, coming across from the previous forums we know this idea has a lot of interest.
There is a way of using Xero's reports to accomplish what you're asking here and save the format so you can easily access and send this report to your customers outside of Xero.
Running the Aged Receivables detail report you can choose how many ageing periods you'd like to show and set the period to '30 days'. Simply Filter the report by Contact and Update to run.
- Once you've got it set up, save as Custom so you can easily access this format anytime
- If you deal with groups of contacts this also means you could Filter for multiple contacts to combine the view into one report rather than multiple customer statements 🙂
- Export the report to PDF, where you can send to customers from your email system outside of Xero

Invoices - Make Due Date non-mandatory
There doesn't seem to be an option to delete the due date on sales invoices, my client doesn't want this to show on their sales invoices so it would be really useful if this could just be excluded

Payroll: Show employee leave balances when approving leave
When a leave request comes in for approval and the employee can take leave in advance (the box is ticked), it should show you how many hours the employee has available. This amount should be the number available minus the leave balance that has already been approved in the system. The leave balance report is only useful when employees can't take leave in advance in their first year. Reconciliation | Suggest previous - Move to top of screen
The "Suggest Previous" check box appears at the very bottom of the screen. This poor interface feature required me to log a support ticket to find it -- after the feature was dropped from an update.
The time needed for me to reconcile tripled without this simple feature. More time was necessary by logging a support ticket.
May I suggest:
1. software updates maintain the existing settings, and
2. place the "suggest previous" at the top of the screen where Users have a chance to see it.1 voteHi Joe, the 'Suggest previous entries' option has always been located at the bottom of the Reconcile screen.

Dashboard - Deposit option from the + dropdown in the Menu banner
Greetings, is it possible to add a "Make a Deposit" option to the + Menu in the task bar? We've studied the batch deposit procedure, and it seems cumbersome. It would be helpful to have a simple process to click Make a Deposit from the main options, have the Undeposited Funds account appear, select items from the Undeposited Funds account, choose which account to transfer funds to, and save the deposit with the option to print a deposit slip and summary. If you already have this process in place, I would like to learn it, please. Thank you.
5 votesWe appreciate the idea here, and will continue to track the interest in this. However, at this time we don't have plans for developing the ability to create a batch deposit / make a deposit from the blue navigational header, or the Dashboard in Xero.

ApprovalMax - rejected bill email link - allow editing when it takes you to Xero
When we receive an email from Approval Max stating that someone has rejected a bill, it has a link to the bill in Xero. When you open the link, there's no way to edit/amend the invoice from this screen.
Please add an edit button.
Currently, from this screen, to edit the invoice, we need to go to:
Bills To Pay > Drafts > search for the invoice > then edit itToo many additional steps to edit the invoice, it should be easy from that first link.

Seeing as this email is sent by ApprovalMax we'd recommend connecting with their support to see if this is something they can change or would consider extending their integration for. Many of our app partners designed and built their integrations with Xero themselves and are best placed to confirm how this works and make changes to it.

Please enable Hotmail to be delivered to inboxes not their spam accounts when sending invoices
1 voteHi Aaron, spam filters are determined and set by your email provider. We recommend sharing this article with any of your hotmail recipients that are finding that their invoices are being directed to spam folders. They will be able to update their email settings to add @xero.com and @post.xero.com to their email safe senders list to ensure these get through.

Purchases - Set default landing page for payable invoices

‘Bills to pay’ link goes to ‘Purchases overview > All’, showing all Paid and Unpaid.
This should go to Purchases overview > Awaiting payment’? The way it is now doesn’t seem logical, when we’ve clearly selected ‘Bills to pay’ not ‘Purchases overview’ or ‘See all’Menu option to Invoices ‘Awaiting Payment’ going directly to all outstanding invoices?
4 votesHi Larina, we appreciate our customers have different preferences for the bills page they would like to default to and this option is available within the 3 dot menu on the Bills page.
From here you'll be able to set the Awaiting Payment screen as the default.
It's not possible to do this for the Invoices screen atm so I've slightly changed the title of your idea here to reflect that specifically. We'll continue to track the interest here and let you know if there's any progress.

UK Payroll - Payroll specific tracking
Why can't the payroll be separate to Xero? I can't allocate Employee Groups because I've already got two tracking categories in use!

Bank Reconciliation - Rank the best banks for reconciliation
Make the banks (like American Express) see how they need to fix their systems. It's not your fault transactions don't match up. The banks need to improve their data.

Bills - Add a Project column to the Bill entry screen
Add a 'Projects' column to Bills rather than having to click 'Assign expenses to customer or project'.
As a company who have many projects that are a similar (or the same) name as a customer's company name, the current process results in expenses being assigned to a customer and not the project!
A 'Project' column has been added in the new invoice template so PLEASE add one to the Bills as well!!
7 votesThanks for the feedback here, team. While we have made some improvements to the Bills list screen we don't currently have plans for adding Projects as it's own column here.
However, you may have seen you can now quick view bills from the eye icon and edit from the list meaning you can check a bills assignments, edit if you need and then move onto the next without having to move away from the list.

UK Payroll - Correct rounding when employee earnings are split
There is an issue in payroll where you will get a rounding error due to other pay items such as Leave/Holiday.
e.g. Salary £12,570 per year
Paid in May the calculations are as follows:
1685.692935=£956.41308 Rounded: £956.41
85.692935=£45.54348 Rounded: £45.54
8*5.692935=£45.54348 Rounded: £45.54Total = £1047.50084 Rounded Total: £1047.49 instead of £1047.50
This should be corrected somehow to use the correct number before rounding as the final calculation. The rounding can either be ignored from the line items, added to the first line item (the total pay) or added as a new line item specifically for the rounding…

AU Payroll - Enter kilometres into timesheet
The ability for an employee to be able to enter the number of kilometres travelled each day. This number being able to filter through to the pay run so the employer can pay an allowance of cents per kilometre.
