Hubspot integration - Prefill invoice reference with 'Deal name'
The HubSpot-Xero integration should pull the "deal name" on HubSpot into the "invoice reference" on Xero. The way the integration currently works means that when you generate invoices from HubSpot the invoice reference on Xero is blank, making it impossible to identify which deals they relate to.
2 votesThanks for the idea, Matt. Not something we have direct plans for expanding the Hubspot integration for just atm, but I've made sure to share with our team in this space and its something they'll consider as they continue to improve the Hubspot and Xero integration.

Contacts: Process batch deposit directly from contact
When processing a single payment for multiple invoices from the same customer, why can't you simply go to the customer, select the invoices paid and process. This is what most other accounting systems do and it is much easier then the Xero batch deposit process which is clumsy and time consuming.

Custom Report - Ability to Hide/Unhide Columns
Currently we create a budget for each tracking category (department).
I have created a custom report which includes the budget for each category. I then use the formula function to sum the budgets together.
I only want to see the formula column in the report outputted. (I realise that columns can be hidden when data is exported to Excel)
I understand that there is not a way to show a formula column without all the individual budget columns.
Enhancement suggestion: include a radio button for each column to hide/reveal that column in the report

Custom Report - Ability to create formula with any column
Custom Reports
The formula feature only appears to work for columns that are located to the left of the formula column.
Each column has a name, surely the name is the important element and not the position of the column on the report.
Can the formula feature be amended so that columns from anywhere in the report can be included6 votes -

At the moment Xero Payroll calculates OWE by using information from the pay template only. Xero Payroll also recommends use of minimum hours as best practice, and allowing the hourly rate to lift if the average is higher than minimum hours. Works well. AU Payroll: Edit column length in timesheet approval
I am wanting to configure the view of a timesheet in Xero. I would like to be able to view the full earnings rate when processing timesheets. We are currently in our peak season and have a huge amount of timesheets which we export from a different system into Xero. AU Payroll - Assign hours worked from a timesheet to projects
At the moment I am adding employee costs (wages) into xero projects.
We have an option with bills to assign a project to that bill be awesome to be able to assign hours worked (with cost) to each of our projects in the timesheet section, and to set per line be good.
eg;
Monday project 1 - $250
Tuesday project 2 - $300

UK Payroll: Support for HSBC BACS payment files without a service user name
Add a template another file option for payroll. HSBCnet allows file uploads with a SUN however as Xero does not have this template it means only options is to apply for a SUN and increase costs of paying our payroll. We need a file that accommodates ACH CR BACs (non-SUN) files. Contacts | Recent bills - Update heading of report to Bills (from 'Invoices')
We have one contact who is a customer and a supplier. When I go to contacts I can do the report of recent invoices (to them as customer) and also the report for recent bills. But they are both have the same headings - ÏNVOICES. Can you not change the heading of the supplier recent bills report to BILLS.

Invoices - Show payment advice on last page of invoice only
When creating sales invoices in Xero, the cut away remittance slip (or "payment advice") appears at the bottom of the invoice, but if your invoice has several line items and therefore goes over one page, the remittance slip still shows on the first page and makes the invoice look disjointed.
We have played around with the custom invoice feature but because the remittance slip is in the footer of the invoice template, there doesn't seem to be a way for us to manually change this so that it only appears on the last page.
If Xero could build this feature…

Projects | Tasks & expenses - Ability to group estimated expenses
Xero Projects - Group estimated expenses
It would be helpful to be able to set up categories to group together estimated expenses. For projects with lots of different expenses but of a similiar type it would be useful to be able to group these to more quickly see the various costs of a project. For example, to separate out administrative costs from material costs at a glance, so there would be a 'category' into which we could put tasks, estimated expenses and expenses to distinguish from other major costs while still tracking individual costs against the specific estimate.7 votes -
Xero Accounting app | Bill - Add currency to the main view for Create bill
As you can see in the attached pictures, the "New bill - screenshot 1" shows the information to key in when we want to create the bill. As we have many expenses in different foreign currencies, we need to add the currency unit to the bill. We have to open "Optional details" to add, as in the picture "New bill - adding currency".

Financial Settings: Show warning when editing VAT Accruals basis
When changing VAT from Accruals to Cash or Visa Versa there is now warning or link to article on tasks to be performed. It is too easy to just change and the user is not warned of consequences or actions to take. Further the Audit Log does not publish this in history thus you have to contact support to find out whom did it.

Xero Me: Allow employees to self-service change of address
Xero Me - change of address - employee can lodge a notification through Xero Me to payroll for your change of address. The change could be approved by the payroll administrator and it immediately updates Xero, then an email would be sent to the employee to say the change of address has occurred. This would reduce administration time, spelling errors in address and encourage employees to keep their details up to date.

Projects - Unique email to send estimates for auto creation in Xero
- Dedicated email address to submit supplier quotes to Xero (like the email used for bills)
- Once in Xero can create the estimate, add mark up etc and assign to a particular project
This would be a huge time saving feature for me to be able to quickly add supplier quotes for a variety of different projects on the go at once and a faster creation time for a quote. At the moment this is a laboriously time consuming process.

User Roles & Permissions - Ability to suspend users
It should be possible to suspend users without deleting them. This should cut off all accesses but should preserve the account /username itself. This is a basic functionality of user access control which is surprisingly absent from Xero. This preserves the user ID incase someone suddenly leaves the company or is suspended from duties for whichever reason.

Expenses Claims Detail Report - Include approver
I would like to be able to run a report on expense claims which shows who has approved them at a glance, like a payable invoice report . At the moment, you have to open each and every claim to see who has approved it.
