  2. Statements to highlight overdue invoices. When running a statement there may be multiple invoices listed, it would be handy if the ones that were overdue could highlighted as such. currently we are editing every pdf to let customers know which invoices are overdue and this would be a huge time saver.

  3. I want to generate a report that shows what we have been paid in the past month (as opposed to what we have invoiced). The information is in Xero already, all paid invoices are marked as such when we do the bank reconciliation, but it doesn't seem possible to run a simple report showing all payments in across a specified time period. This was a simple report in Sage.

  4. We reconcile monthly sales with an internal ordering/salesprocessing system. This is good for checking to see if invoices have been missed and also to make sure that the net sales are the same in Xero too (another fail safe check). There needs to be a sales report that is easy to run off on a monthly basis showing net figures. Currently I have to run a couple of reports off - identify prepayments and delete them in the excel version, then add another column to work out net value. The latter is not always easy as some of our goods…

  5. Timesheet Tap n Go Widget for Mobiles

    The Xero Me app is fine for leave and payslips, but it's not the best for end-user timesheet input or management. Sure it works and links to the pay system, but from an end user experience it's behind other timesheet apps as users have to log in to then manually enter times.

    However, with a one-touch "tap n go" widget employees could put on their mobile devices (they already download Xero Me ) so they simply tap to input (check-in) the current time and tap to end (check-out).

  6. Please could you enable the option of re-ordering an invoice on the mobile app. Sometimes invoices need to be changed or additions to be made to specific dates. For example, if I want to amend my invoice and add a charge , I would like to be able to press a re-order tab, to make all items billed live, so I can move then up or down the invoice. It is not a new idea, a lot of payment software have this as standard.

  8. When raising an invoice, add the functionality to 'select all' lines, to add to assign to a Project.

    When creating an invoice, even from within a Project each line has to be manually assigned to a project.
    Even if an invoice is copied from a previous one from within the project, the project information is not copied over and each line has to be assigned individually.
    This is very onerous, especially when there are numerous invoice lines.

    When actions are taken from within a Project, Xero does not seem to carry this information through, which is very poor.

  12. Account Transactions Report

    It doesn't make sense that you can separately select the 'Contact' column and the 'Description' column, but that the 'Contact' details show in the 'Description' column.

    It feels like the 'Description' column in the Account Transactions report is wrongly pointing to the 'Contact' data!

    If the 'Description' detail is not available in the Account Transactions report, this column should be withdrawn from the options available for selection.

    It would be great to get this issue fixed.

    Thank you for your engagement on this idea. To help explain a little on how this works in the Account Transactions(AT) report - what shows in the Description field when running the report is dependent on the type of account you're running the report for.

    For example, when running the AT report for a bank account, transactions will show the Contact name in the Description field. This is because the detail that is entered on each description line in the body of a transaction relates to the account the line item is coded to. 

    To see the detail, you'll need to run the report for the account code, not the bank account. This is also how the report works for some other accounts such as the system sales tax account, Account Receivable, and Accounts Payable.

    Currently only one view, in order of entry.
    We enter start and end times for tasks.
    Would prefer to have the ability to sort the time entries page by time started. That way a user can more readily identify parts of their day not yet entered.

  15. Can we please have the ability to set a due date for an expense? Currently it is set as the day it is approved, but we pay all our expenses for the whole month, on the 15th of the following month. It would be good to be able to set this as default for any expenses raised.

  17. The ISO 3166 country name for "United Kingdom" is "United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland (the)", which is 58 characters. We are currently unable to use this name for our contacts as Xero throws an error (both in the UI and API).

    Please consider increasing the country name maximum length to at least 60 characters.

  18. Instalment Activity Statement - It would be good if you could add a template cover letter for quarterly instalment activity statements. I receive phone calls from client asking why they are required to lodge a BAS as the current AS cover letter is confusing and docent distinguish between the different statements.

  19. Xero Me App

    When an employee is trying to enter the hours worked it only provides an option to do hours and minutes for the day worked, yet on the desktop it can be done simply as a decimal. For example we do 7.6 hours normal working hours with 0.4 hours going to an RDO bank for every day (except on an RDO).

    It just seems really silly to have to adjust it to an equivalent of minutes instead of the hours total, be it whole or decimal for each and every day. Can this be fixed to work exactly…

  20. SIE files and SAF-T files are international standards for electronic exchange of accounting data and should, as soon as possible, be included in Xero as a digital application.
