Bank Reconciliation - Recap transaction option prior to reconciling
Please add Recap Transaction found in MYOB.
The feature allows you to see which accounts will be affected (debited or credited) by a transaction you're about to enter. Seeing what effect a particular transaction will have on the accounts allows one to know the outcome of transactions with accuracy. This is a powerful feature that can prevent incorrect entry of all kinds of transactions. Payroll - Add pay run comparative to prior pay run
When processing payroll, be able to see a comparative between current pay run and previous pay run before completion/filing to identify any discrepancies.

Contacts - Preview files for supplier bills
In the activity tab in contacts, it'd be great to be able to have a "files" column just like in the bills section, so that we can preview the invoices to the side rather than having to click into the bill to see the invoice.

Fixed Assets - Add accumulated depreciation to new assets
When a revalued asset is created (e.g. roads in a local government authority), it is essential that a revalued accumulated depreciation is also able to be added at the same time. This is a basic accounting requirement for councils when they revalue their various infrastructure assets.

Budget Reports - Ability hide selected accounts
The ability to remove the nominal accounts from a budget or show only selection of nominal accounts on a budget report. This would be useful so we can send budget owners a reports which shows only the budget lines that they are interested in and keeps actuals and forecasts in other nominal codes confidential.

New invoicing - Option to leave date field blank like classic invoicing
In New Invoicing can the Date field be left blank when in draft status as per previously. Regularly I create draft invoices and want to continue to be able to leave the date blank or to put tentative dates in before moving forwards int he process.

AU Payroll - Add employee invited to Xero Me in Audit History
I love the Payroll Audit History on each employee, though I noticed it doesn't include history on the Employee Xero Me invited. It would be great to have a similar thread to when invoices are sent : date & time of sending and which email it was sent to.
Employees frequently state they "didn't receive the invite", it makes the conversation easier if we can say, "we did, please check ___ email's inbox and junk for an email received at ____ time on ___day"2 votes -
Contacts - Restore deleted files / Prompt to confirm when removing
Move the Delete button away from preview in files attached to contacts.
So many times, I have accidently deleted files attached to contacts. The delete button is right next to the preview. There is no way to restore once deleted..8 votes -
Batch payment - Auto fill Reference
Batch payments - details don't copy over into right hand columns when doing batch payments . I have raised this with Xero and they have indicated that never been raised with them before . Has anyone found a quick solution to this?

Bank Reconciliation - Optimise mobile browser experience for 'Find & Match'
I occasionally log in on mobile to reconcile my bank feeds, via my browser (Firefox, but the problem existed on Chrome as well when I used that). Whenever you reconcile a payment and the auto-focus moves to the next payment, if there's not an invoice suggestion for the amount, the page zooms directly to entering 'Name of the contact' taking up the whole screen. You have to then pinch the whole view repeatedly to zoom out enough to see the option for 'Find & Match'.
Why would manually entering a name be the default, and not 'Find & Match'? I…2 votes -

Quote - Create repeating Invoice from quote
Currently, to invoice from a quote = a standard invoice. There needs to be an option to create an repeating invoice also. This is consistent with the request to change a standard invoice into a repeating invoice also.

NZ Payroll - Make Sick leave entitlement date visible
It would be useful to have the sick leave anniversay and next entitlement date visible OR to be able to pull a reprot for this. As it stand, the current way to access this is very clunky. It needs to be automated.

New Invoicing remove # from Invoice number
Why is there a # in the invoice number field? I think only USA use this and it's annoying to everyone else.
2 votesHi Claire, I do want to confirm that the '#' symbol is only shown on the view of the invoice in Xero. You'll see once saved or approved only the symbols entered within the field are shown in the Invoice Number column on the list view and this field will show depending ono the branding styles applied to the sent invoice.

Quotes - view contact address
Why is it that customers address details are not shown on the invoice and quotation listings. this is causing time issue problems

We have an existing idea for this in new invoicing that you may like to add your vote and join across here - you'll see this is something we're actively working on.

UK Payroll - Employees work pattern to auto populate timesheets
Can Xero Auto populate the timesheets section from the standard hours, that you can then review and update there.
Can the standard hours set on the employees account auto populate the times sheet so when reviewing you are only working through and making the alterations and not adding them all in when this is very repetitive. It is currently faster to run a draft pay run and go into every payslip and make alterations which is frustrating.

Xero Files - Create a transaction whilst viewing the attachment itself
Currently, when an invoice get's sent to Xero, it goes into the Xero inbox. Usually, one needs to go into the attachement itself to view whether it's an invoice or a credit. Once inside the attachment, there's no option to create the bill from there directly. You must go back out, into the list of items in the inbox, click on the three dots to the right to create the necessary document. It would be helpful if we could view the attachement and create the necessary document via that screen, without having to come out of it.

Batch Deposit - Create multi contact deposit without invoices
In QB you can "create a deposit" and in each line item, you can assign a customer, assign a GL account, class & amount. (there is also a line to assign to an invoice/customer ledger if you use those). You can then print a deposit slip from this as well!
PLEASE make this function available.
It is a hassle to enter every check or payment into "Receive Money", then have to go back and try to match up all the correct payments to the bank deposit in the bank reconciliation.

New invoicing - More Address Lines when adding contact details
When sending an invoice to a new customer using the new invoicing you can only add one address line before the Town/City field. With the old invoicing you could add multiple address lines before the Town/City field (as you can also do with their Contact page and clicking edit).
With new invoicing this is difficult. Every time you need to add an address to a new invoice going to a new contact within the invoice screen then you only have one address line above the town/city field.
