We're also pleased to see in your comments here that CAF have introduced QFX file types for downloading transactions - this'll make manually importing more streamlined until a bank feed is made available.
As per our last update, we appreciate all the interest a feed for CAF has gained and we want you to know this has definitely got attention from our product team, and something they hope to explore in the future however we can't provide any timeframes at this time. I'll be sure to keep you updated of any progress that moves this along. Thanks

Just Ask Xero(JAX) - Ability to turn off (after it goes live)
Today, I received an email from Xero, enthusing about the upcoming feature called JAX "Just Ask Xero". Apparently, this is a generative AI assistant.
Once it goes live, I will want to know how to turn it off. I will never use it - if I need help creating an invoice, there's a help file for that, and checking an AI's work takes as long or longer than just doing it myself in the first place - and see no reason to waste processing resources on something I will never use. To confirm the LLMs are not trained using any Xero data. The AI behind JAX uses LLMs available from commercial vendors like Microsoft, Google and Amazon, (we have commercial agreements that prevent them from training their models with our customers data), as well as proprietary technology, JAX Assure, that works in concert to support accuracy and security.

Bank | Ability to reconcile period - Regions outside CA and US
Ability to reconcile transactions to a bank statement at the end of a period, and closing it to prevent transactions being deleted or unreconciled in that period.
This feature is currently available to US and CA organizations(https://central.xero.com/s/article/Reconcile-a-period) - This idea is asking for this feature to be extended to all regions.

New Invoicing - History to include if invoice is resent
When an amendment is made and the invoice resent it needs to record who it has been sent to

Invoice history will now show the primary recipient email whenever an invoice is sent. This includes the initial and any subsequent send of an invoice.
We appreciate this has been a pain point for everyone that's joined in the idea here and hope this visibility improves your experience in invoicing.
We'd like to confirm how this works;
- This record is only applicable from here on in, there are no updates to any historical entries for sending.
- History will show the email of the initial recipient entered in the 'To' field any emails that you include as a CC or BCC option will not be shown.

Expenses | Notifications - Option to choose the type of notification e.g email or in app
Ability to turn off email notifications for submitted expenses to Xero admins. Only started receiving email relating to submitted expenses as of 10th July 2025 but have been told by Xero support that it is an integral part of expense management and can’t be switched off. Have used Xero and expenses since 2019 and have never received an email relating to an expense submission. Am more than happy to continue receiving notifications of submissions via Xero Me mobile app but do not want or require email notifications.

We appreciate the differing needs of our customers our product team have temporarily removed the notification changes mentioned in my previous update - This means this'll reduce the amount of email notification you're receiving from expenses.
We're looking into enabling more controls for expense notifications and I'll come back to share any further news around this with you here.

Prepayments & Accrual Schedules
Instead of using spreadsheets, it would be very handy for Xero to have prepayment & accruals schedules built-in that act similar to the Fixed Asset function.
For example, when you allocated a new invoice to the prepayment nominal, Xero would detect that transaction and add it to the schedule. At the end of the month, you access the Prepayment & Accruals screen, go to drafts, and fill out a form giving it the period with su[plier, start date, end date and number of days/weeks/months it lasts (this would determine how often a journal is created when ran). As a Group Financial Administrator at an IT company operating in South Africa, I am writing to request the expansion of Xero Inventory Plus to regions outside the US.
Our business relies heavily on accurate, real-time inventory tracking across multiple locations, and we currently face limitations due to the unavailability of Inventory Plus in our region.

465 votesHi everyone, appreciate your continued feedback on new invoicing. As mentioned in my last update we've now added a new Xero Central page for new invoicing.
Along with updates to individual ideas on Xero Product Ideas, this page will become the single source of truth for key feature rollouts including:
- what’s available in new invoicing right now,
- timelines for features and enhancements going live in new invoicing, as well as
- a comparison table between the classic and newer versions of invoicing.
We'll be updating this page regularly.
Relating to some of the more recent feedback there are some existing ideas that may also be of particular interest that you can join, like the ability to see the email the invoice was sent to in the history, or being able to see a timestamp, and reducing clicks and steps.

Invoicing - Make the History & Notes the same as in Classic Invoicing
Please leave the history of an invoice EXACTLY as it was in the classic invoicing.
The new invoicing doesn't show the invoice that it was copied from or copied to and this is very important as a trail.
I really don't understand why so many important features from the classic invoicing has been omitted.

Profit & Loss report | Custom - Ability to format formulas
When using a custom Profit & Loss report in a set of Financial Statements, you are unable to format formulas to be in bold or underlined. It would be beneficial from a visibility perspective to have these in bold, so they stand out as formulas.
Can this be updated so to enable formatting at this level.

Bills - Option to customise or turn off "Duplicate Bill" review messages
The periodical message that highlights "duplicate bills" and invariably just list recurring monthly bills from suppliers is incredibly annoying and simply wastes time.
There should be an option to disable it. If users genuinely find it useful they could then of course utilise it, but for those of us who don't the ability to switch off would be beneficial.

73 votesHi everyone, thanks for all the support for a bank feed with Aldermore Bank. We are aware of the interest here, and are currently exploring the possibility of this feed.
As some of you have noted, the best option for now is to manually import your bank statements into Xero. This will help you keep your accounts up-to-date. You can find instructions on how to do this in our Xero Central article here: Import a bank statement.
Another way you can help is by letting Aldermore Bank know you’d like to see them integrate with Xero. We've found that banks are more likely to prioritise building a feed when they hear directly from their own customers. New Invoicing - Option to switch Autosave off
I don't want autosave on for invoicing - I use third party software to copy invoice details to a Trello Card, this is triggered when the invoice is saved.
Auto saving will send the invoice info through to Trello before the invoice is complete, meaning not all the info will be sent to Trello.

Our product team has continued to focus attention on how we can make invoicing faster and more responsive to improve our customers' experience.
We've now optimised autosave to require less processing power, leading to faster invoice loading and saving.
While we don't have any plans to remove autosave, there is the possibility that we would make updates to improve experiences related to autosave in the future - I've provided links below to ideas that have been raised and remain open for consideration;

52 votesHi community, thanks for your feedback on a Unity Trust Bank feed. While a direct feed isn't available just yet, we understand that this'd save you a lot of time on manual data entry. As we work with Tink to support more open banking connections we'll move this idea through to In discovery. While this is a step in the right direction, it's not a guarantee that the feed will be developed, and we don't have a timeframe to share just yet. We'll be sure to post any updates right here.

Invoicing - Allow Item and Description-only lines, with no Qty or Unit Price
When choosing item code and description, I want the ability to leave the rest of the fields blank. Classic invoicing had no problems with it. The new invoicing wants to populate QTY, UNIT PRICE and AMOUNT. Makes the invoice look unappealing.

Your feedback has been valuable in understanding the needs of using description only lines to; add subheadings, provide context for grouped charges, and ensure your invoices are easy for your clients to read and understand.
To reconfirm, atm - You can add one-off description only lines as you enter an invoice. However, if you add detail to any other field the line will be treated as a 'financial' line and you'll need to include Qty, Unit price, Account and Tax rate.
- We know some users have set up and saved inventory items for description only lines they commonly use, however as the item code field is used for inventory items the line of the invoice is treated as 'financial' meaning you'll then need to include Qty, Unit price, Account and Tax…

AU Payroll - View payslip in employees record
Option to be able to view payslip in employee file rather than having to download
50 votesHi everyone, while not directly from an employee's record it's possible to view an employees payslip without having to download it. If you select Pay employees from the Payroll menu, choose the required pay run you'll be able to click View Reports where you can choose the 'Payslips' option.
From here you can see the payslips for all employees in that pay period.
We don't have direct plans for adding this capability from within an employee's record atm, but we'll track the interest of this here and let you know if any change is planned.

General Ledger - Account reconciliation function
For accounts where transactions are posted and then additional transactions clear those transactions it would be great to have a reconciliation feature where these can be matched off (only when they net to zero). The the remaining unmatched transactions make up the account balance. This would save us hours each month.

AU Payroll - Ability to apply work patterns to part time employees
Suggest the ability to apply work patterns to part time employees. For example, we have a part time employee who works 7 hours on Mon, 6 hours on Tues and 6 hours on Wed.
At the moment, if a Public Holiday falls on a Monday, it does not correctly work out hours worked.
The same happens if Annual Leave is taken; incorrect hours are calculated which affects AL accruals.

We’ve been following the conversation and understand that manually adjusting pay runs for pro-rata entitlements can be a real challenge. We know that having to manually upload statements takes valuable time away from running your business, especially when your bank doesn't offer CSV exports.
I’m happy to share that we're exploring a bank feed for Cynergy Bank.
While we can't give any commitment at this point, we'll be back once the team have had a chance to dig in deeper and share any progress.
