  2. On the Sales menu, I would like a sub-menu/fly-out to the right of Invoices with links to the Draft, Awaiting Approval, Awaiting Payment, Paid, and Repeating tabs on the Invoices page. This would enable me to go directly to the tab I want, saving a click or two, and reduce page load time instead of always landing on the default tab then having to click the one I actually want. Clicking Invoices should still go to the All tab. Same could be done on the Purchases menu for Bills.

    Hi team, we appreciate your valuable feedback on how we could keep improving the new navigation experience for our customers.

    We appreciate hearing how and why sub menus could be helpful in some sections of the navigation and this is something our product team are monitoring closely.

    Hi all, just updating the status of this idea to Accepted here, to align with our new statuses for Xero Product ideas. You can read more about this on our blog.

    We're also pleased to see in your comments here that CAF have introduced QFX file types for downloading transactions - this'll make manually importing more streamlined until a bank feed is made available.

    As per our last update, we appreciate all the interest a feed for CAF has gained and we want you to know this has definitely got attention from our product team, and something they hope to explore in the future however we can't provide any timeframes at this time. I'll be sure to keep you updated of any progress that moves this along. Thanks

    Hi team, appreciate wanting an update - I'm pleased to share the beta went well and we've now launched international bill payments for our UK customers, making it easier to pay overseas suppliers.

    Using open banking, UK businesses can now securely send money to 180+ countries including Europe (EUR), America (USD) and Australia (AUD). So you don't have to juggle multiple platforms or hidden fees. Whether you're paying a single bill or multiple bills at once, you can authorise payments prepared by your team and easily track which suppliers have been paid.

    We’re committed to new ways to expand our bill payments feature for small businesses and their advisors in other regions by leveraging new technologies, where available. I'll keep you updated of any further developments for this, here.

  7. As a Group Financial Administrator at an IT company operating in South Africa, I am writing to request the expansion of Xero Inventory Plus to regions outside the US.

    Our business relies heavily on accurate, real-time inventory tracking across multiple locations, and we currently face limitations due to the unavailability of Inventory Plus in our region.

    Suggested Features to Prioritize:

  8. Ability to reconcile transactions to a bank statement at the end of a period, and closing it to prevent transactions being deleted or unreconciled in that period.

    This feature is currently available to US and CA organizations(https://central.xero.com/s/article/Reconcile-a-period) - This idea is asking for this feature to be extended to all regions.

  9. Instead of using spreadsheets, it would be very handy for Xero to have prepayment & accruals schedules built-in that act similar to the Fixed Asset function.

    For example, when you allocated a new invoice to the prepayment nominal, Xero would detect that transaction and add it to the schedule. At the end of the month, you access the Prepayment & Accruals screen, go to drafts, and fill out a form giving it the period with su[plier, start date, end date and number of days/weeks/months it lasts (this would determine how often a journal is created when ran).     Hi everyone, we want to share that we've released a change to history for each time an invoice is sent.

    Invoice history will now show the primary recipient email whenever an invoice is sent. This includes the initial and any subsequent send of an invoice.

    We appreciate this has been a pain point for everyone that's joined in the idea here and hope this visibility improves your experience in invoicing.

    We'd like to confirm how this works;

    • This record is only applicable from here on in, there are no updates to any historical entries for sending.
    • History will show the email of the initial recipient entered in the 'To' field any emails that you include as a CC or BCC option will not be shown.

  11. Ability to turn off email notifications for submitted expenses to Xero admins. Only started receiving email relating to submitted expenses as of 10th July 2025 but have been told by Xero support that it is an integral part of expense management and can’t be switched off. Have used Xero and expenses since 2019 and have never received an email relating to an expense submission. Am more than happy to continue receiving notifications of submissions via Xero Me mobile app but do not want or require email notifications.

    Hi everyone, we appreciate your feedback, and have been monitoring this change closely.

    We appreciate the differing needs of our customers our product team have temporarily removed the notification changes mentioned in my previous update - This means this'll reduce the amount of email notification you're receiving from expenses.

    We're looking into enabling more controls for expense notifications and I'll come back to share any further news around this with you here.

  12. For accounts where transactions are posted and then additional transactions clear those transactions it would be great to have a reconciliation feature where these can be matched off (only when they net to zero). The the remaining unmatched transactions make up the account balance. This would save us hours each month.

  14. When using a custom Profit & Loss report in a set of Financial Statements, you are unable to format formulas to be in bold or underlined. It would be beneficial from a visibility perspective to have these in bold, so they stand out as formulas.

    Can this be updated so to enable formatting at this level.

  15. The periodical message that highlights "duplicate bills" and invariably just list recurring monthly bills from suppliers is incredibly annoying and simply wastes time.

    There should be an option to disable it. If users genuinely find it useful they could then of course utilise it, but for those of us who don't the ability to switch off would be beneficial.

    While we don't have any immediate changes planned for this, our team will consider improvements to this model overtime.

    For the time being we'll continue to keep our eyes on the support for this in community, here. I'll share if there is any news.

  16. The “Favourite” feature in the Reporting section is excellent, please consider expanding this to other dropdowns or sections across the platform.

    This could help address the long-standing need for sub-menu shortcuts or easier navigation, especially for commonly used tools like Repeating Invoices or the Chart of Accounts.

    Note: historically, I’ve used browser bookmarks as a workaround for this. However, recent updates seem to have made these bookmarks unreliable, some now fail to link correctly, and this issue appears to be getting worse. I fear with this update It may no longer be viable to rely on bookmarks as quick links.

    Hi everyone, appreciate your continued feedback on new invoicing. As mentioned in my last update we've now added a new Xero Central page for new invoicing.

    Along with updates to individual ideas on Xero Product Ideas, this page will become the single source of truth for key feature rollouts including:

    • what’s available in new invoicing right now,
    • timelines for features and enhancements going live in new invoicing, as well as
    • a comparison table between the classic and newer versions of invoicing.

    Relating to some of the more recent feedback there are some existing ideas that may also be of particular interest that you can join, like the ability to see the email the invoice was sent to in the history, or being able to see a timestamp, and reducing clicks and steps.

  19. Please leave the history of an invoice EXACTLY as it was in the classic invoicing.

    The new invoicing doesn't show the invoice that it was copied from or copied to and this is very important as a trail.

    I really don't understand why so many important features from the classic invoicing has been omitted.

    We appreciate this is something we've heard a fair amount of feedback on and we hope helps in your journey to using new invoicing.

    Hi everyone, thanks for all the support for a bank feed with Aldermore Bank. We are aware of the interest here, and are currently exploring the possibility of this feed.

    As some of you have noted, the best option for now is to manually import your bank statements into Xero. This will help you keep your accounts up-to-date. You can find instructions on how to do this in our Xero Central article here: Import a bank statement.

    Another way you can help is by letting Aldermore Bank know you’d like to see them integrate with Xero. We've found that banks are more likely to prioritise building a feed when they hear directly from their own customers.
