  1. Please make the “Save Button” omnipresent, so it hovers/tracks the page and wherever the user is working, while building Quotes & Invoices...

    I keep having to scroll up to the very top of the page, in order to hit “Save” - and found when moving too fast, i can accidentally skip back, losing changes, and then having to start again.

  2. I hope xero has the functionality of e-invoicing to approve and send the multiple e-invoices in bulk.
    As this new invoicing does not allow it and make the task slower than the conventional xero way.
    I hope you'll add this suggestion on your product improvement and see xero functioning the next time around.

  3. Please be consistent with the location of the "Branding Theme" field.

    You have placed the "Branding Theme" field in different places, in the Quotes page it's on the right and in Invoicing it's on the left. Can you please put it in the same place consistently. As a user you learn where fields are and automatically go to them, so this is annoying.
    My preference would be to keep it on the left.

When we rebill a transaction to a client that was already paid, if the amount is paid in Euros, for example €5,000, when I issue the next invoice to this customer, the expense automatically shows up to be included in this invoice. The issue is, when I choose this transaction, even though my invoice is also being billed in Euros, the amount is automatically converted to GBP (my company a/c's currency) and then is converted back to Euros so the amount to be rebilled shows us as a different figure either positively or negatively in my favour depending upon the…

  6. To allow default settings for individual invoice templates. For example rather than set a default due date or currency for ALL invoices, allow individual invoice templates to be set there own due date timeframes , ie 7 days or immediate payment terms and also the same for currency.

    The more standardised we can make our templates, the less likelihood of user error.

  7. We use the project and task options for all our projects.
    Each of our tasks within individual project folders have fixed prices. These fixed prices are often of a substantial amount, with projects scheduled to run up to and at times over a year.
    We invoice each task/project for time spent each month till the project is completed.
    I would like to have the option to invoice against time spent at the end of each month on each fixed price tasks within each project.

  8. Could you enhance customer accounts by automatically adding outstanding amounts from previous invoices to the next issued invoice as a separate line item called 'outstanding fees'? This ensures customers can pay the full amount due, not just the current invoice.

  9. When the Allocate Amount pops up to allow for Pre-Payments to be allocated to an Invoice, I find I am going between Mouse, Tab, Numeric repeatedly. We have a large number of Clients who pay weekly and build up a number of Pre-Payments. It would be a lot easier to just use the mouse. Allow for a Double Click in the box containing what is available, or Double Click in the amount allocated, or something - but there has to be a simpler method.

  10. When using the new Avalara auto taxes, the options are now show every line item tax rate, even if it's except. This is not right. Tax Exempt lines should show Exempt, just like they did with the manual tax entry. My clients are confused why every line item shows a rate rate, even if it isn't being taxed. In the business AND accounting world this is not right. Only items that are being taxed should show tax rate.

  11. At present when you create an invoice and then use the triple dot menu and "get Link" option you are presented with a overlay which gives you the Invoice link that you can give to the customer. But this link includes an extra querystring parameter utm_source - I want a setting that stops this being added to any links.

    The links currently look like this:
    https://in.xero.com/XXXXXXXXXX?utm_source=newInvoicingGetLinkButton

    And I want them to look like this:
    https://in.xero.com/XXXXXXXXXX

    They are long and ugly looking with the UTM parameter and current I have to remove this manually from every link. I also…

  12. Listing Time Entries in Chronological Order in Invoicing for Projects.

    As raised in support case CX0012531595 - I use projects to create invoices for clients and show time entries for all tasks - the problem is that the draft invoice seems to put all the entries in random order rather than a date order - there is no way to sort by date so that it reads chronologically for the client.   14. I can see multiple suggestions and several thread over a number of years regarding the need for an SMS feature for both customer communication and invoicing. When are you going to add this?   15. To be able to Assign & invoice a billing client within blue Xero. It’s not unusual to have a central billing agency looking after subsidiaries accounts so the ability to bill the agency while having the subsidiary with thin your system to raise the invoice against would work well.

    Hi Chris, I see you're based in AU and we're pleased to share that we have now added the capability of being able to send via SMS along side email from your laptop in AU.

    You can now select the three dots in the top right of an 'Awaiting Payment' invoice, then choose "Send SMS" from the menu.

    While we will look to expand this to other regions in time, we don't have a set date for this yet. We'll be sure to come back here and share further updates when this happens. 😊

  17. Stop "Mark as sent" pop-up for every invoice. When making multiple new invoices, this pop-up occurs for each invoice made, no matter if reminders are turned off. This is new, started April 2024, and XERO support states there is no way to turn this off.

  19. We create multiple invoices with deferred income. Currently I can approve the sales invoice then under "Invoice Options" copy to a new invoice and all the data is pulled over. I can then adjust the nominal ledger to the balance sheet and approve that, then again from the "Invoice Options" I can add a credit note to the P&L. I can then copy again to create a new sales invoice for the date when the income is due to the P&L and create that and once again add a credit note to credit the balance sheet. I realise this might…

    Thanks for sharing your feedback and the detail on how you use invoicing here. Just to make sure I understand fully and can share back with the team - when you say you want to retain all the data. It is currently possible to copy an invoice to a new draft invoice for the same contact, however is it that you are wanting the contacts defaults to be applied to the new invoice?

    If this is the common selection for due date you can set this up as a Default in your Invoice Settings, Denise. It's also possible to set this up as a default for individual contacts if you'd prefer too. 🙂

    Alternatively, you might find it handy to use the shortcut when entering your invoices. You can simply type +10 in the due date field and it will set the date to 10 days after the Invoice Issue date.
