  1. I have one employee that is paid the same amount every week, it would be great if I could set the pay run to post and file itself every week until further notice. I have an automatic bank payment set up so this would make it so easy - and more importantly it doesn't rely on me remembering.

    Hi community, while we appreciate you sharing this idea with us here, and understand the interest for being able to automate pay runs, we want to confirm this is not in our plans at present.

  2. As an employee, I receive an email every time a leave request was approved.
    My boss receives an email every time a leave request is submitted and every time a timesheet is submitted.
    It would be great to disable these email notifications

  3. Give the option of adding company sick pay entitlement, which counts towards sick leave, and then when company sick pay is exhausted, revert to SSP.

  4. Can payroll deductions such as IRD arrears or MOJ deductions etc be included in the Payments Report. This is vital information that is not able to be reported on at this stage and I wonder how many deductions have slipped through the cracks because clients aren't aware that a deduction has been made. In the situation where a third party is managing Xero payrolls for clients these payments need to be communicated manually via email. As you can imagine this places a large burden on the third party to ensure that this is captured each payrun.

  5. When Bank or Superannuation details are changed for an employee, Xero sends an alert to the Admin/Account owner of the account. The employee details who have changed should also be sent an email alert.

  7. Set up leave so that it automatically tops up at the start of the year with a set amount.
    I have an employee that has an arrangement of xhours per years to be used as they wish. At the start of each year this reverts back to the agreed hours. Any hours not taken during the previous year is cleared.

  8. Currently Xero does not assign annual leave and public holiday to a project/job as timesheet doesn't have this function.
    Superannuation generates from payroll (pay run) , however, there is no place to allocate superannuation to different projects/jobs as well.

  9. I'd like the ability to delete a super fund from an Employee's Employment tab where they originally had two super funds operating in parallel, and then closed one of their accounts. Currently the obsolete super fund can not be deleted, and can only be updated, which means you end up with two of the same super funds in the employment tab.

  10. When ticking the "eligible to receive leave loading" box under taxes, have a pop-up to enter the leave loading rate. A lot of clients tick the box, but are not aware they need to manually enter the rate under leave in the payroll settings as well for it to occur.

  11. Link the data already on file in the Pay Templates directly to the Employees Time sheet. Or at least remove the ability for Employees to view ALL pay items on their time sheet. This creates friction among Employees and angst re different levels that they may not be on. Despite the fact they can't see a dollar amount. Even if I need to create a new Time Sheet Template as long as ALL pay item are hidden on the time sheet from the Employee point of view. Seems an easy fix. get it done please.

  12. Have tax rates added to Pay Items and or a way to add employee tax rate to unscheduled pay runs so you don't have to edit tax rate when processing.

    This will ensure correct tax rate is applied to all employees every time a pay is processed, whether is a normal pay run and or unscheduled pay (bonus etc)

  13. Xero cannot current cope with companies that have more than one pension scheme. The upload I need to send to the pension provider includes payroll number, pensionable earnings for period, start date and date of birth. It would be useful if Xero had the ability to add these and additional fields if required customised in the contribution report.

  14. I would like to be able to add any available report into a practice Report Pack. At the moment, the available reports are limited to those within the Financial Statement realm.

    I would like to produce a report pack that had all the reports i need for my annual working papers:
    - Employee wage summary
    - Bank Rec
    - Tax depreciation report
    - GST rec reports

    etc etc.

    Hi community, thanks for your support on this idea. We know how important it is for you to create comprehensive report packs in Xero HQ, and we appreciate your ideas on how to make this even better. 

    We wanted to share that the General Ledger Detail, General Ledger Summary, General Ledger Exceptions, and Tax Depreciation Schedule reports are now all available to add to a report template in Xero HQ. 

    Right now, as some in the thread have found, it's also possible to create report packs for each client at the client level to manage some of the reporting needs expressed here for now.

    We want to be transparent that we don't have plans to make other reports available in report templates. We will shift this idea to Not in pipeline, however it would be good to get a sense if there are specific reports that would further add benefit…

  15. Ability to import leave requests using CSV files.

    Purpose: To save users time from having to manually create a request to the employee, and approve it. This will also help if they’re using a third party that allows them to export CSV.

  16. Given that we are now can add employees into different tracking/groups on Xero.
    It works well when we post a pay run and it puts all transactions in Wages expenses, super expenses, PAYG W and super payable, but not Wages Payable. Seems odd that it doesn't.

  17. Payroll doesn’t calculate pension until after you submit the payroll/RTI, so you don’t know what the actual net payments are until submitted. Try explaining to a client that what they signed off isn’t what they actual pay.

  18. Where payroll is handled through Xero, please block the ability for client users to post bank transactions to Wages expense account and Superannuation expense account. It is time consuming to recode entries to the Wages payable account and Superannuation payable account. I have told some clients several times to not use the expense accounts but they still do it. If access to the expense accounts could be blocked when payroll is done through Xero, it would save a lot of time fixing the ledger accounts.

  19. SSP EXTENSION; There needs to be a way of extending SSP
    Most people who are off sick are not aware of when they will return, it is often necessary to be able to extend SSP. It is not acceptable to have a process that requires reverting payroll. I am still trying to get almost £5000 back from HMRC because Xero reported the variance in April as an additional payroll & the YTD figures have not corrected the issue. Reverting payroll should be the very last resort & not used for something as standard as stat sick…

  20. At the moment I am adding employee costs (wages) into xero projects.

    We have an option with bills to assign a project to that bill be awesome to be able to assign hours worked (with cost) to each of our projects in the timesheet section, and to set per line be good.

    eg;
    Monday project 1 - $250
    Tuesday project 2 - $300
    wednesday project 3 - $250
