To be informed of the status of mail sent from Xero

The team priority right now is around the body of the invoice within Xero.

Ability to create a prepayment in a currency other than the organisations base currency
Purpose: Having a multi-currency prepayment option in Xero will make users’ who are dealing with customers that pay prepaid foreign currency accounts to their business easier.

Reporting: Sales Report - Track sales by sales person
Report that shows the total sales made by each sales person in an organisation
Purpose: Ease of being able to compare Sales reps stats across the organisation and/or overtime
10 votesHi community, as you've found Xero doesn't currently have a function that automatically tracks or calculates sales by sales person.
In the meantime, you could use tracking when you record your sales, which will allow you to report based on sales made by each sales person.
A suggested process is:
- Create a tracking category called something like 'Sales Rep', and create category options within the category for each of your sales staff.
- When a sales invoice or quote is created, you can include the staff member's name in the staff member (Tracking) field on the invoice/quote.
- You can then use the Tracking reports to see the sales that relate to each 'Sales Rep' and calculate commission manually outside of Xero.

Customer Statements - Add a Pay Now link
Ability to add a Pay Now link to statements so customers can pay all outstanding bills via the statement they receive.
Purpose: To make it easier for customers to view and pay their outstanding bills and make a bulk payment for all at once.

Our product team are currently looking into the development of adding the Pay now button to Customer statements which would enable your customers to pay for multiple invoices at once.

We understand that the ability to easily track deferred GST is crucial to your workflows.
Currently 7A on the BAS is a manual field, which does not update the figures on 1B. To adjust for this, we recommended the following workaround:
- Enter the original purchase as BAS Excluded.
- Once you have the Customs Entry form N10, you're entitled to claim a GST credit. Create a Bill with the value of the Deferred GST showing on the N10. Code this to your GST account (820 in the default Chart of Accounts) using the tax rate GST on Imports so that it shows separately in the Transactions by BAS field report and gets reported under 1B. You'll still need to manually add the Deferred GST…

Batch Payments - Bills stays selected/ticked on multiple pages
Ability to make the invoices that have been ticked in the previous page stays ticked.
Purpose: Because it’ll save users’ time when they’re doing batch payments, especially when they have to tick all the invoices across multiple pages.

While we're seriously taking on board your feedback for how and why being able to hold selections across pages would be helpful when processing batch payments, we want to be open that this isn't a focus area for product at this time.

We’re continuing to build on the bank reconciliation experience in Xero and recognise the ways this feature will help improve the efficiency, flexibility and transparency of transactions in your business. Our team have done a lot of exploration into being able to surface and match Credit Notes when reconciling your bank account in Xero, and this is now in development.
We’ll shift the idea here into ‘Working on it’ and continue to update as there’s more detail of this to share.

Ability to trigger notification when expense claims are awaiting approval and approved status.
Purpose: So the approver can review the expenses faster and the one who’s asking for an approval don’t need to wait longer for approval.

246 votesHi all - thanks for taking the time to provide your votes and commentary on the idea to enable subtotals in invoices. We appreciate how this would make invoicing easier and enable you to provide a clear breakdown on invoices.
As you can imagine with a global product, the variety of ideas we receive is expansive and so the product team focuses on building features that will meet most people’s needs. In the interest of transparency at this stage this idea is not currently planned. However we’re still open to receiving feedback and votes. It could always be reconsidered at a later date.
In the meantime it’s worth highlighting (as a few have mentioned already) a workaround is to generate an invoice as a PDF and then edit the PDF externally. Alternatively our Xero App Store has many invoicing providers who may do this. You can browse the invoice providers…

Multicurrency - Support for new currencies & Bitcoin
To have the ability to add additional currencies that are not on the standard list.
Purpose: Business accept payments in Bitcoin and have no way to add that to the currency list. This would allow the ability to calculate tax, profit, and loss from the currency/cryptocurrency that the business is using.

I follow the digital currency space closely, I find it incredibly interesting both sociologically as well as technically. However as a product manager my role is to ensure that my engineering group works on the things that create the most value, for the most people, and in alignment with the company's long term goals and aspirations.
Digital currencies continue to have an extremely passionate, but also extremely small group of users who want to see them handled in Xero. The cost remains very high for us to deliver this feature, and does not make a difference to enough peoples lives to justify that investment. Ability to add a second reference field.
Purpose: Because when importing invoices from another system, it generates a unique invoice number, and the actual supplier's invoice number is used as the second reference.

Reconciliation - Edit bank account for bank transactions (spend, receive, transfer, or payment)
Ability to edit a bank account without having to delete the transaction and then re-enter it in the correct account.
Purpose: Save time from deleting the transactions and entering them from scratch in the correct account.
