  1. Seems a lapse in the system that you cannot send invoice reminders for over 60 days + for outstanding invoices
    We have clients that still owe us money after 60 days and we have to manually review and resend, rather than the system just picking up that any invoice is outstanding / overdue and sending a reminder automatically
    Would be nice if the system could just send an invoice reminder to any overdue invoice.

    Hi everyone, we thoroughly appreciate your engagement and sharing how custom fields would be advantageous to you here.

    With lots of work for 'building on beautiful' underway atm, we want to be honest that custom fields is not planned in the near term.

    Some in the idea here, may find the recent addition of Notes that can be added within the Contact Details section of a contacts record useful in being able to record and view specific detail relative to a contact at present - More on this shared here

    We'll continue to evaluate the viability of largely voted ideas such as this when there is resource, however this unlikely in the next 12 months.

  3. For the 'approve and pay' user the remittance function is limited. They should have the functionality to send remittances on a batch payment and also be able to access the remittance button at a later date. An admin member of staff needs access to the full remittance capability in order to complete their duties fully.

  4. The lock date feature is great for preventing back posting as a whole but we would benefit from a lock feature for specific nominal accounts - to prevent colleagues posting to a specific account until dates are unlocked.

    Perhaps in the meantime you could look to use the Archive and restore options for an account in your chart of accounts as a way of managing this? 

  5. Currently, if you change the address of a contact, old invoices and bills will show the new address and not the old address.

    It would it be good if the old documents can keep the old address. It is because having the old address is a piece of evidence to show where the goods have been delivered to. It is important to show that to the tax authority and auditors where the goods are delivered to determine the GST/VAT type, etc.

  6. There's an inconsistency between different parts Xero systems. For example:

    New Invoicing has Autosave.
    New Contacts require us to use the Save button.

    Reports:
    Accounts receivable reports refer to Invoices.
    Accounts Payable reports ALSO refer to Invoices ... Xero terminology for Payables is Bills.

    Is there a reason for these differences and lack of consistency across the Xero platforms?

  7. Please put the customer's payments on the activity page so it is easier to see what payments went to which invoices. Seeing that an invoice is paid isn't enough information if the customer has questions. It would be nice to see WHICH payment is applied to an invoice.

    Thanks for your continued input and contribution to this idea. We've now released an improved send experience for new invoicing, where you have a side by side view to give you full visibility of what's being sent. Encompassed in this is also the ability to CC and BCC others in the email😊.

    For the time being this is limited to sending from the invoice itself and won't apply to Invoice Reminder emails. However, we are thinking ahead and will look to expand this capability in time. We'll keep you updated of any further progress of this here.

    HI team, while it's not possible to include links to all outstanding invoices when sending a statement I did want to make sure you're aware of the option to include a link to Outstanding bills when emailing an invoice to customer. 

    From this link your customer will be able to see a total and the individual invoices they have outstanding to pay with you - more on this here 

  12. The ability to mark any/all invoices as sent - even if using the copy/share function to send invoices to clients.

    Not all invoices are sent via email. A tick/flick box to mark off any invoices that have actually been sent via the copy/share function would be handy. There could also be another box that would act as a reminder to follow up after 'X' amount of days if the invoice remained outstanding, in the same sort of format that follow-up emails are automatically sent for payment reminder.

  14. ABILITY TO AUTOMATICALLY CHANGE ITEM PRICE ON A SPECIFIC DATE

    Obviously item prices vary and when we give customers notice of a price change, sometimes this is months in advance. Now I know I could add a note to the item, but seriously, this would mean checking the notes for every item which would become very tiresome + time consuming.

    Thanks for also sharing screenshots, Moyra. Appreciate wanting consistency in actions across Xero like this. New invoicing is built on updated technology, bills and other pages you see across Xero with the image in your first screenshot are yet to under go this update, however as we get to them they will adopt the same similar components and layouts that you see in new invoicing today. So while I'll move your idea here to not planned as we will not be updating the buttons in new invoicing, you can expect to see this same layout in other places across Xero overtime. 

  19. The old version we used to be able to hit the Enter button whilst we are keying in the number keys to the right of our keyboard. In the new version we have come to realise that the Enter Button makes the decimal points pop up... instead of just being able to put in 50 for fifty dollars. I have been using the Enter key over near those numbers on the right since xero began and I am really hoping this is fixed ASAP if that is ok please

    Thanks for raising this with us in product ideas, Leanne. Appreciate it's been a few months since you first started this, however just coming back across and testing with the current experience it appears this is now working as you'd like to see here - When entering data in fields of a row in the invoice, if you press enter you'll move across to the next field. Also within an amount field like Qty or Price when you type in a figure and press enter this will move fields and round the amount to the nearest whole number, unless you have inserted a decimal point.

  20. Be able to see recurring invoices set up for a client on that client's page. So many times I think to myself "I'm pretty sure I set that up, but did I?" and then I have to go and search in the repeating invoice tab. It would be good to be able to see recurring invoices just on the client page.
