New invoicing - Calendar to remain stagnant when moving through months
When you open the calendar to input a date (e.g., expense claims), the calendar box changes shape/moves around when you click the arrow to go back over previous months because the number of days in each month varies. The calendar shouldn't move around because you must keep repositioning the cursor to find the arrow again.
As someone mentioned in another comment, allow the ability to use the mouse scroll to go back and forth.
4 votesHi Kelly, if you're still experiencing issues with this I would recommend connecting with our specialists at Xero Support via Xero Central to take a closer look and confirm if working as designed.
We made a few changes to the calendar a few month back that I believe will have resolved any issues you were having with the calendar moving around like you've described here. Thanks

To be able to send out service and inspection reminders by date
Could we add a feature to enable us to email out service and inspection reminders up to 28 days before it is due.
This could be done by date only.
It would save us having to add another app and potentially another running system to get this feature.6 votesAaah gotcha, thanks for the confirmation and additional feedback on the idea here. A bit of an extension from our existing functionality for Contacts and there may be some CRM solutions that you could explore in the Xero app store atm.

Unfortunately, there are so many ideas and comments that I cant list them all, but there is slightly different wording and multiple threads, that Xero staff either close or merge, and muddy the issue actually diluting the bigger problem, that customers are not being consulted, nor are we being heard.
Stop treating us like "users" - we are your customers.

Submit UK corporation tax return online as small business
We really need Xero to implement the capability for small businesses to submit their UK corporation tax return online, directly without an approved xero partner, BEFORE MARCH 2026 WHEN THE HMRC ONLINE SERVICE FOR SUBMITTING CORPORATION TAX RETURNS STOPS.
Our main justification to pay for Xero is it saves he cost of an accountant!
Currently HMRC lists Xero as an alternative software package for submitting tax returns after March 2026; but at the moment this is not an option in Xero unless you are a professional accountancy firm approved as a "Xero partner".

I am writing to request a feature enhancement for Xero’s integrated payment services that would allow businesses to automatically detect the type of card a customer uses (e.g., domestic, international, credit, debit) and dynamically apply the appropriate surcharge.
Why this feature is important:
Card processing fees vary significantly depending on the card type and origin. Automatically passing the correct surcharge to the customer ensures transparency and helps businesses recover costs fairly.
Manual calculation or flat surcharges can result in either under-recovering costs or overcharging customers, which is not ideal for either party.
Many payment processors (such as Stripe) provide information about the card type at the time of transaction, so this feature could leverage existing data.
Suggested solution:
Implement a system within Xero’s payment services that automatically identifies the card type used for each transaction.
Allow users to set different surcharge rates for different card types (e.g., domestic debit, domestic credit, international credit).

Giving Statements for Year End
It is crucial to be able to print or email statements to multiple or all contacts with received money transactions at once showing each received money transaction for the contact in a time period on individual/separate pages by contact. This is really needed functionality because any nonprofit entity needs to send giving/donation statements at year end. I have tried multiple reports and statements. I can create an Account Transactions report showing all the clients and the received money entries, but it doesn't allow me to separate contact on their own page. The functionality under Business and sending statements would be ideal, but it can't show just received money. The data is all there, so it would be nice to not rely on a separate CRM system. This isn't possible yet. My previous ticket was closed stating that it could be done with a Receivable Invoice Detail or Summary report. It cannot. Please don't close my idea without letting me respond.

Dashboard - Posting Payments/Receipts direct from the Dashboard
When posting a payment /receipt against an "already entered" Bill or Invoice, it would be good to be able to do this from the Dashboard. This link could be added to the "+" on the Dashboard and could take you to a search facility to search for the Bill or Invoice. This would also save time having to search under Bills to Pay and Invoices awaiting payment.

Transition period for non UK organisations - managed financial year end
Can the transition period for change in financial year date be added to companies that are non UK organisations as well. we have a group of companies that all extended their financial year but i have only been able to use the transition period in UK organisations. Why is this not an option in non UK organisations?

wages and superannuation payments
Recently XERO changed the Make Payment Button so that it now contains two payment steps ABA Download, and payment of superanuation. This is great but I am finding that because both processes take you away from the wages screen,(one is to the bank and the other to the SUPER approval process) the work does not flow easily. Is it possible instead to separate the two buttons so we would have PAY WAGES as one button and PAY SUPER as separate buttons?

nz payroll Post PAYE without filing to IRD
For users who are linked to IRD to file payroll, could we please have a separate option to 'Post' without filing. Currently we only have 'Post and File' as a combined option, which can create issues either when a client wants to review final reports and be sent the bank file before being lodged with IRD, or when you need to revert a filed payrun (with no filing changes) and don't want the risk of it trying to file with IRD again (I don't know if it does or not, but regardless, don't want the chance). I've been told there are two separate options in AU, so should be able to be done here too?

Xero Certification - Suggestion to reduce or remove the 24-hour lockout period
24 HOUR LOCK WHEN CERTIFICATION TEST "FAILS" NEEDS REMOVED IMMEDIATELY.
We have a trainee going through his Xero certification. He timed out the first test. He is now locked out for 24 hours.
We can't have him spending weeks doing this.

Insert multiple item lines in one click (template)
Product/Inventory - Template Parent Item Line.
Would hugely time saving to be able to add multiple item lines with one click.
Clicking on a parent item which has selected item lines attached.

Use Tab to confirm highlighted selection and move to the next field (don't require clicking enter)
As Xero started to update existing modules, the "new" modules, took on this idiotic philosophy/logic that users should need to click Enter before clicking Tab.
Previously, I could type an account name (or part of one), use up/down arrows to highlight the account in the list, then click Tab to confirm the selection and move to the next field.
This is (fortunately) still the case in the Create transaction screen.
This functionality was removed from New Invoicing.. but fortunately, it was eventually returned.
This functionality has been removed from Adjustments > Bank Fee function.
It's annoying as ****. Just fix it. If I'm clicking Tab, there is no way I'm the type of person who wants to click other buttons first unnecessarily.
