  1. The new invoicing alerts you to a credit on a customer's account if you APPROVE an invoice but if you APPROVE AND ADD ANOTHER invoice it simply moves right on and does not mention the credit. Please could the apply credit option be available regardless of the way you finalise your invoice.

  2. It would be good to be able to see the bank account details (BSB and Account number) on the new bill screen when entering invoices to be paid. By having the contacts bank details on the entry screen you can easily check that the bank details in Xero match what is on the invoice. This would save time of having to go and open the contact to check that the details match - not to mention save time of having to download the invoice so you can view it while checking against the contact.   3. OK so maybe it's obvious to you that Xero Product Ideas is under the 'Community' tab on xero central but can I suggest you mention it under 'Support' too, as that is where most people looking for help start?

    I tried searching 'feature request', 'request' etc on support and in the end had to open a case to find out you had a whole Product Ideas thing - I didn't think to look under 'Community' as I wrongly assumed that was just discussion.
    I can't be the only person who thought this way, especially when concerned about something that seems…

    Hi all, we’ve now made Product Ideas available in Xero Central search, you’ll spot them in the results with their green label for “Product Idea” or you can filter your search under “What do you want to do?” to select “Share an idea”. 😁

    As mentioned in our last update we’re also looking into making Product Ideas easier to find - we’ll update this idea once we’ve got more to share.

  4. The Reconciliation Report pack is a critical part of our working papers and gives us multiple reports in one pack with one click. This report is being retired in July with no replacement in sight. Creating our own seems like a step backwards and from what I understand about creating report packs (which admittedly is not great), it will be difficult to add multiple bank account rec reports to a customised pack, not to mention that each business has a different number of bank accounts.     As you might've seen on this similar idea, we've rolled out a new Bank Reconciliation report pack. As part of this release, the Reconciliation Report will automatically add a Bank Reconciliation Summary for each bank account, fulfilling this request 🎉

  5. Ability for Xero to treat an overpayment with VAT on - I don't want to use a secondary debtors control account.

    We have a client on the VAT cash accounting scheme and we have a number of overpayments which need to hit the debtors control account. When I run the VAT return, these amounts are not being captured for VAT purposes since there is no option to select a tax rate when using the overpayments option.

  7. Xero billing: Please make the packages pricing clearer on the monthly invoices.
    i.e. please add the package elements breakdown. It doesn't have to be a separate line item, it could even just be added to the text description, but showing one price, as per the invoices from xero, does not explicity explain that there is a breakdown for items mentioned. Seeing this clarity on the monthly invoices is very helpful for ensuring transparency from xero to its customers.     When we export the management accounts of the companies, the currency is never mentioned which is not convenient.

    Hi all, coming back in to confirm that as of today you'll find you can now run the Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet and Budget Variance reports in currencies the org has been using, and you'll be able to select and see the currency the report is run in at the top in the report settings. 😁

    If there are other specific reports you'd like to see this developed in please do start a new idea in the site here and we can get a feel for the interest in each of these, too. Thanks!

  9. When you open the calendar to input a date (e.g., expense claims), the calendar box changes shape/moves around when you click the arrow to go back over previous months because the number of days in each month varies. The calendar shouldn't move around because you must keep repositioning the cursor to find the arrow again.

    As someone mentioned in another comment, allow the ability to use the mouse scroll to go back and forth.

  10. So at present - as mentioned below it doesn't really make any sense to be logging hours for the day in the morning when staff arrives as every day could be different.

    I'd really like a central point that staff can log in through - as opposed to using personal phone. it needs to be a clock in and clock out system with automatic break deduction. At the moment we use the Timestation app that the guys clock in and out with a QR code card then i have to run a report each week to manually input into timesheets...…

  11. So far I know Xero only have features of sending overdue invoice reminder to customers, but in absence of the feature I mentioned. This feature is good for the operation.
    The invoice overdue days could be set by us and automatically send the notification to our preset email address once the overdue day came. So that, our customer services staff can easily be notified all the overdue invoice and doing their followup tasks.

  12. No idea - this was mentioned 5 years ago but the new system seems to have lost the original idea/moan.

    This is a very simple and quick one dev-wise.

    The "Purchase Order" needs to simply pull through the "customer name" and "contact number" from their profile - once you have searched for it at the bottom of the PO where it says "Delivery Address".

    Every other form uses word doc templates where you can choose your merge field name and it retrieves that information from the contact profile. Why does this form not do it?

  13. The validation for the max length of the Country field in a Contact Address "appears" to indicate that up to 255 characters is permitted.

    This is false and entering a string > 50 does not surface the UX message but will cause the SAVE of the address to fail.

    The 50 number/limit is mentioned elsewhere in Xero documentation

    It goes without saying that the bland message "There is 1 error on the form" is pretty unhelpful

    Thanks for raising, Peter - Appreciate the confusion with the '255' reference that you were getting before. Our team have made a change and you should see that the error that appears now indicates that field cannot be any longer than 50 characters as per my image below.
