  2. An easier way to schedule tasks. A lot of my clients create annual jobs with lots of tasks and want to be able to schedule tasks in the same way you can allocate staff. You hit a button and schedule all the tasks in a list with assignable start and due dates. I have more than 40 clients that I am doing implementation and training and XPM support for, and all of them has asked me for an easier way to do task scheduling.

  3. We are wondering if you could add a script at the phone number field in XPM so that when we click on client's phone numbers, the website will trigger an application (such as Microsoft Teams) to make phone call. This will save us time having to copy and paste phone number onto the application.

  4. Is consolidation of company group structures - parent & subsidiaries - involving holding companies , inter-company transactions , on the tax filing roadmap for development?
    If so, would this also include VAT group filings?

    Reviving this topic again as I've gone into Property and wanted to implement a group structure, how does Xero best deal with this structure interacting with subsidiaries within the group structure and for the purpose of consolidated accounts? Is Xero Tax also enabled for filing group company accounts?

  8. There is currently no ability to type a Note relating to an item in a tax return. This would be for internal purposes only and provides a very handy audit trail.

  9. it would be great if the tax offset from superannuation income stream could be automatically calculated like how the MYOB AE Tax does. Instead of manually enter the number in the box.

    Hello everyone, I want to get a better understanding of this idea here. Would you think that this can be achieved by selecting the 'Mark as Paid' checkbox? Because if you’ve ticked the box, the document that you’ve published as draft, will change the into Awaiting payment status in Xero - See our article here for more information.

  11. Xero should be having a feature Statistical GL where one can enter statistical information or numbers which are vital for analyzing business trends.
    For example, If I am maintaining books of a restaurant and I want to record daily covers (footfall or number of customers) which can help me analyze revenue per cover, spend etc.
    There should an option to create some designated ledgers to input and maintain these statistical information which does not affect any financial statements but can be used for business performance analysis.

  12. Xero Sign: Add Template for sending packs and Add a text box option for documents within a document pack:

    Is there any way to set up an 'Email Template' message for when we send out our packs? I can't find anywhere to do this is xero or Xero HQ or Ask. We would like to set up a standardised message for your annual accounts...

    Is there a way to enter a 'text' field into a document as well as a signature?
    We send out some authority forms to clients that needs them to add their bank a/c details & a/c…

    Hi everyone, thanks for your support in the idea here. Reading over there are 2 separate requests in the one thread

    • Ability to create a default email template for sending document packs 
    • A text box on single documents in a pack 


    We have another idea that's been started around the default email template across here and I invite all those interested to add their votes. 

    For the thread here I've updated the title slightly for the Text box on individual documents so we can track the interest in each of these separately. 

  13. Would be good if there was an option to reorder the pages in a tax return, primarily to be able to bring the tax estimate to the front page of the tax return as that tends to be the key information the client wants to see and it is buried at page 3 or 4 of the tax return when printed.

  14. On the New reports - the ability to set a date criteria on each report without it affecting all the other dates. I know you can set up in custom reports but is a pain.... If i wanted to whiz a new report off for a client sat in a meeting, i don't wnat to have to start and edit the layouts. The dates worked brilliantly in the old style management report. I thought it would work the same in the new ones but really long winded. Please can you make it so we can amend the date criteria at…

Would it be possible to combine the features of Custom reports (in particular the ability to set them as default reports and favourite them for access from the Reports drop-down) with Adviser reports (the ability to format using report codes and practice-wide sharing across any number of client organisations)?

    Right now, a practice has to decide between:

    Customising reports on a per-client basis - an incredibly time-consuming task to set up

    or

    Drafting an Adviser report every time - which can't be set as a default report on the Reports home screen or favourited for easy access and therefore takes…

When adding invoices through HubDoc when there is a new contact that needs to be added, it would be great if the option to create a new contact (supplier or customer) was available in HubDoc, rather than having to start typing in the contact filed & then having to wait for HubDoc/Xero to catch up.

  20. Ability to have future tax forms generated for multiple entity types and not just individuals. This will enable practitioners to prepare tax returns for entities that have substituted accounting periods much before the due dates without having to request extensions from the tax office also will give us the ability to work out the timing differences on tax profit more accurately rather than relying on spreadsheets etc.

    Hiya team, we understand the importance of being able to get ahead and create future tax forms in Xero. While work for this isn't underway just yet, we have plans to develop Company Tax Returns(CTR) for the future over the next 12 months. We know there are some in the idea here very much interested in Trust Tax Returns(TRT), however these will be further out, after CTR's.
