XPM User Permission - Ability to only remove timesheet view permission
I would like to place feedback around user settings, The user permissions are limiting and weird ones seem to go together. Currently all staff can see everyone's timesheets, we we're advised to remove the financial setting under financial privilege's to remove staff access to timesheets, in doing so staff could no longer see budgets on jobs, therefore we had to give all users back that permission, in effect allowing all staff access to everyone's timesheets it just doesn't make sense.

XPM | AU Tax - Automatically email lodgment confirmation to clients
I'd love to have the ability to get XPM to email clients once their returns are lodged to confirmed it has been done. So many clients ask for confirmation and emailing each one takes time, a simple email from xero would be great.

Practice Manager - Bulk Data Updates
It would be great if we could bulk update data (default fields and custom fields) and have options on how we want to update the data.
For example, if we want to update the 'Manager' field, we could choose to base this on the group or client, and:
- Update all groups/clients to John; or
- Update all groups/clients that are currently Sam to John, and have a check box to untick any groups/clients that are to be excluded; or

Practice Manager | Client reporting - Field mapping
Some of the field labels in a report don't match the field in the profile, which can cause confusion, incorrect reports and more time spent on building reports than needed.
For example, on a client profile, we have the 'Partner' and 'Manager', however, when trying to report on these fields, they are called 'Account Manager' and 'Job Manager'.
It would make reporting easier if all labels/titles matched or at least referred to them, e.g. Account Manager (Partner).

XPM: Ability to share one client across multiple practices
A lot of businesses use both a bookkeeper and accountant practices for different work. Therefore both practices should have the ability to have the client on their practice lists

Practice Manager - Ability to archive Client Groups
Currently we are only able delete Client Groups in XPM. That means there are 'inactive' groups when the clients move on making it harder to see how many Groups you are actually working with.
It would be great to be able to Archive instead. This would keep the Group Count 'clean' and you can still report on Groups

Profit and Loss - Tracking categories in rows and annualised per periods (in columns)
P&L - Tracking categories (cost centres) in rows and analized per periods (in columns) . When I run this report on xero, it shows me in the same column (period and cost centre), the cost centre should be displayed in rows. Really annoying that this option does not work properly as its impossible to analyse anything.

AU Payroll - Default Ordinary hours to be reportable at W1
Change default pay item for ordinary hours to be reportable at W1.
Currently, the ordinary hours pay item is not ticked for 'reportable as W1 on Activity Statement'
Clients doing their own payroll or brand new Xero account setup may overlook this and all figures populated for BAS/IAS will be incorrect.14 votes -
Hubdoc - Filter documents by the user that uploaded them
There are quite a few filters on Hubdoc, but there isn't one to filter by the user that uploaded the document, we have quite a few employees that upload and process documents in Hubdoc, but they keep having to go through all the documents uploaded by other users to process their documents.
We would like a filter that allows you to filter by user.

AU Tax - Print tax returns withholding bank details and DOB
Currently Xero tax can print tax returns by withholding the TFN Numbers which is really good. However, if that same functionality can be added for the bank account details and date of birth it would be great

Hubdoc - Untick 'Save configuration' check box by default
In the HubDoc there is a default setting with a checkbox always marked (active) for "save configuration".
A lot of mistakes are made because old text is saved and reused when it shouldn't.
It's better if there is no text instead of wrong text.
Therefore the default should be unchecked (off) for this "save configuration" checkbox because it causes a lot of problems when the wrong text is saved to XERO.

Xero HQ - Ability to bulk remove users
Have the ability to bulk remove users. We have just taken over 6 Xero accounts and the previous advisor has 100+ staff members that need to be removed from each account, it's going to take me forever to do this individually.

Why do we need to have all of the 'Z do not use' sections appear when setting up a new pack that then need to be unticked? It would be better to have them unticked in the first place

Xero Sign | Email notification of who has signed in the document pack
Xero Sign - It would be great if there was an indicator to let us know that one or more clients within the one document pack have signed the documents. (if it is sent to multiple people) We only get notified once everyone signed.

Practice Manager | Recurring Jobs - 2 date fields (Issue date & work start date)
It would be useful to have two dates for recurring jobs - one on which the recurring job is generated and a second date for when the work is to be started. We like to have all of our annual jobs generate on 1 April so we can easily see what work is outstanding for the year, received or not, but we obviously can't start everything in April. The planning aspects of XPM would be more useful if we could set the jobs to generate on 1 April then input a start date of when we are likely to start…

Staff Report - Client & organisation access
Currently when a staff member leaves we can remove their access on the clients we subscribe to Xero but can't remove access where the client subscribes directly and has invited them in.
For security purposes, it would be good if the practice admin could easily run a report on the leaver showing all the clients they have access to. You can do this on screen however we want the client managers to get in touch with their relevant clients as they have the relationship.

23 votesHi everyone, coming back across the idea here we wanted to clarify existing behaviour.
When you remove a staff member from HQ this automatically removes all org access, as long as those orgs are linked to client records, and as long as the client records are active (not archived) - Meaning you don't need to manually remove access to each org one by one.
The few cases where you would need to manually remove one by one would be if a client is archived or an org is not linked to a client record at the time of staff removal.
We intend to improve this experience and provide better visibility of staff access in the longer term, so when there is more progress on this I'll return to update you here.

Hubdoc: Submit purchase orders in Hubdoc to connect with purchase orders in Xero
Currently you cannot submit a purchase order in Hubdoc, there is no "publish as" option.
It would be good if it was an option and have it flow/link with purchase orders in Xero, to which then can flow into Approvalmax to be approved.
Currently it requires an employee to access another system which would be good to limit.10 votes
