Currently, due to the lack of an approval option for a quote (which is a different product idea), I will need to provide the quote creator the right to send quotes directly to customer without reviewing (to avoid having another user to have to login, after being notified per email/whatsapp about the draft created, to review the drafted quote and send to client - very inefficient process). Once I provide an user the right to send quotes, they also have the immediate right to send sale invoices although the approval for a invoice is a non-negotiable. It creates the risk…

  3. At a quick count there at least three different date selectors used in Xero. This makes it clunky for users and some date selectors are functionally outdated. Examples, the date selector used in Invoices (best) vs the one used in Reports (worst) vs the one used in Leave.

    Use the same date selector(s) across the entire product. One that allows for:
    - Keyboard entry of date(s), multiple formats eg 23/08/23 as well as 23 Aug 2023 (Invoices does this)
    - Shortcuts like 'This financial year' etc - where applicable
    - Quick year jumps (unlike the date selector in Reports -…

  4. As a firm of around 25 accountants, we all may need access to a particular client at any point in time. Currently however, the client is aware of each individual user (i.e. 25 users) rather than an as a practice.

    It would be therefore be good if Xero operated like Sage or QBs whereby the client only sees the practice as having access to their data.

  5. The Receive Money function should be made available to users who do nothing else except literally receive money - ie sales people. This is especially relevant in small countries where cash is king and non electronic transactions are still in majority. I have one user who only needs to receive cash but I can't give them that function without making them an Adviser.

  7. Ability to customise how data is entered - decimal places. To speed up data entry the user should be able to have a setting where they can opt to have the decimal place automatically entered. I.e. type in 12345 and the result is 123.45

  8. There are users who need access to custom projects reports but no others. Currently they either have to repeatedly customise the base reports or have access to all the reports.

  9. An employee is in charge of paying our foreign supplier accounts. So we gave him the role "Invoice only (Approve and Pay). Unfortunately, he is not able to see a full statement of the supplier account with all invoices, credit notes and payments made so he does not know how much is owed. He is also unable to enter payments against a supplier without an invoice already existing in Xero, which is an issue when making payments to suppliers who require payment in advance. Change the permissions required to connect apps, most importantly the Pipedrive app. Since currently Pipedrive users (sales people) are required to have full access to Xero in order to connect and use the integration. We can't give our sales team full access to our accounts due to sensitive transaction details and salaries contained in Xero as you would expect.

  11. As the title suggests. A "view all" option throughout the product would be great. Or even view a year. Far batter than having to click load more over and over again. Especially when if you click off of the page you then have to laboriously keep clicking load more again and again.

    Also to have dates next to (Or instead of) page numbers in the various scrolling pages; cash coding, reconcile, etc.

    Hi all, we appreciate the feedback on how we could improve pagination for customers across different areas of Xero. A couple of updates here that may help with this;

    • We have added the ability to search and filter no the Reconcile page. Meaning you can quickly navigate to a Date range of statement lines you'd like to reconcile
    • As we update areas of Xero you'll find the selection for how many items to view is now held (examples are in Products and services, Invoices and Bills). So, if you navigate away from a page when you return you should still see that same selection e.g 25, 50, 100 items. The only caveat to this is using incognito mode, or switching browsers

  12. Would love to see the ability to make use of boolean operators within the search bar.

    An example would be something like using the '|' character for an "OR" search where you can search for multiple terms and items match either term are returned.

    Another example would be '&' (or another character that's not as commonly used in references/descriptions) for an "AND" search, where all terms entered must match - less useful but a nice-to-have.

    Lastly, the ability to use "!" to do a "NOT" search and only display results that don't match the search term (useful for filtering out…

The 3 letters that are by the company name are automatically chosen by Xero, we should be allowed to change this to something relevant, for example, my company is called ACR Fabrications Ltd, common sense would dictate those 3 letters should be ACR yet xero has chosen AFL which is obviously the first letter of each part but that's not relevant to my company

    Hi Rosemarie, appreciate the ask to minimise clicks when accessing the Files library—those small efficiencies can make a big difference in day-to-day work.

    To be upfront, our Product team doesn’t currently have plans to add Files to the menu bar. That said, we’ve moved this idea into Gaining support so the community can add votes and comments, which helps us better gauge overall interest and impact.

    In the meantime, a quick tip you might find helpful: pressing the slash key (/ or /?) and then F will show a link to the Files Library that you can click straight away.

Amazed to discover that a 'login' from the app on a mobile phone using biometrics for example, does not count as a 'login' at all and is classified by Xero as an 'unlocking' event, but this is not logged or tracked at all (that we users can see). So in effect the 'Login History' in 'Settings' is completely flawed. This is also not recognised in 'History & Notes' unless the user actually makes changes. So if they are just in there viewing stats etc. they are invisible. This is really not ideal.
    I would like to see app logins included…

  16. Could the Demo Company please be updated first when new features are being rolled out. Often want to test how a new feature works (eg the current Investment Boost in Fixed Assets) or take the Staff through training on the new features, without having to do this in a Client's live data.
    If the Demo Company can have the features first, then can do testing and training of staff before see in the Client's live data.

  17. It is too easy currently to click back/undo one too many times and end up inadvertently posting into a different organisation from the one you were working on.

    I was showing a colleague how to do something in the Demo company, but I clicked back too many times and ended up making my dummy postings into a client's organisation instead.

    For accountants and bookkeepers who have multiple clients and multiple transactions to post, this could create a lot of unnecessary work that can easily be avoided by some kind of indication that you are changing organisation.

    Hi team, we understand wanting more of an indicator when you're entering data in the demo org, and with our new navigation experience you'll now have a banner at the top of the screen to let you know that you're in the demo company to avoid wasting time of data entry that should be in your actual org.

    We want to be upfront that this banner is only applicable for the demo company, so not exactly what is being asked in this idea but hope it goes some way to helping in scenarios like has been shared here.🙏

  20. My firm works with additional bookkeepers, and we do not want to have their business or personal emails displayed in our clients files.

    Ideally, they would be behind the scenes and would just show our practice as connected.

    Next best would be showing first name or first and last name, but no email address.

    We can assign them an email address from our firm for a more professional appearance, but often their certifications follow their own business/personal email addresses.

    Appreciate why you'd like to be able to group some users that are logging into client organisations to perform admin under a single login, however from an audit pov would also need to make sure that actions could be traced back to the individual user.

    Being upfront this isn't something we have plans for atm.

    It would be good to get a wider interest through this idea, so make sure to share this with others colleagues that would find this useful.
