  2. An employee is in charge of paying our foreign supplier accounts. So we gave him the role "Invoice only (Approve and Pay). Unfortunately, he is not able to see a full statement of the supplier account with all invoices, credit notes and payments made so he does not know how much is owed. He is also unable to enter payments against a supplier without an invoice already existing in Xero, which is an issue when making payments to suppliers who require payment in advance.   3. Change the permissions required to connect apps, most importantly the Pipedrive app. Since currently Pipedrive users (sales people) are required to have full access to Xero in order to connect and use the integration. We can't give our sales team full access to our accounts due to sensitive transaction details and salaries contained in Xero as you would expect.

  4. With audited clients , we normally only give Read only access, but this excludes payroll access. So either we need to access for them, what the require, or we need to change access level to standard , which is not idea. Can you not have a read only role, with the option to include Payroll?

  6. The Receive Money function should be made available to users who do nothing else except literally receive money - ie sales people. This is especially relevant in small countries where cash is king and non electronic transactions are still in majority. I have one user who only needs to receive cash but I can't give them that function without making them an Adviser.

    We've reviewed your idea again and I've slightly updated the title so this is clearer to others members on the site. We'll continue to track the interest your idea receives here, however there are no plans to change these preferences at present.

  9. Would like to be able to add users with only access to invoicing, without them seeing any other part of Xero. This would be a huge benefit so I can have team members invoice customers without seeing company financials.

  10. Its a small change but something that bugs me as i do it at least once, sometimes twice, a day.

    Currently the "trust this device" check box is below the login button. If logging in solely on a keyboard you have to enter 2fa code, tab twice and hit the space bar to check the trust this device box then shift tab to go back up to the login button. So the keystrokes are enter 2fa, tab, tab, space, shift tab, enter

    Hi Shane, we're grateful for your engagement and for sharing this idea to improve the login experience.

    We've reviewed your suggestion to move the 'Trust this device' option, and it can now gain support from other community members.

    Along with votes, others can now comment to share additional detail about how this change could improve their daily workflow in Xero.

  11. My firm works with additional bookkeepers, and we do not want to have their business or personal emails displayed in our clients files.

    Ideally, they would be behind the scenes and would just show our practice as connected.

    Next best would be showing first name or first and last name, but no email address.

    We can assign them an email address from our firm for a more professional appearance, but often their certifications follow their own business/personal email addresses.

  12. It is concerning that Bank Accounts can be added or deleted by users with "Standard User Access or even "Advisor" in some cases.

    Considering the whole Xero Accounting system revolves around Bank Feeds, the ability to add a bank account, activate Bank Feeds or even delete a bank account should only be a function available to the Software Subscriber.

  14. It would be really helpful if there was a way of adding a description/note to conversion balances. For example, if a creditor balance relates to a specific loan, it would be useful to be able to note this somewhere. Currently, reports only show 'conversion balance' as the description for the transaction and it isn't possible to add a description to the conversion journal. It makes it difficult to keep track of historic debtors and creditors and this information needs to be kept elsewhere, duplicating work.

  15. When giving a client access to their Xero file for the client to be able to add codes to the chart you need to give the client advisor access - Maybe the access to the chart of accounts should be added to the cashbook client as a tick box option (like manage users is in the adviser access)

  16. If a staff member leaves, you would usually delete them as a user. That causes issues, however, if they have set up recurring invoices. These will be left as draft and will not be sent. It would be useful if you could keepa staff member but remove the access so that they can't log in themselves anymore, almost making them inactive?
    It is not as simple as resetting their password because of the 2 step authentication.

  17. Hi Xero. I can log into Xero on my phone using facial recognition, but it's not available on my desktop, why is that? Should be easy to do, right? Current MFA whilst necessary is cumbersome, facial ID is simple and safe.

  18. Allow to change user name for a specific email, without changing the name on 'ALL" historical notes on profiles.
    Currently, if i have a new user/employee doing the same roll and a previous user/employee, with the same email/log in; if i change this user name, ALL of the notes for that email account log in get changed to the current user name, so it is difficult to make out who actually made that/those notes without looking at the dates to work out when that person/started or left the role!

  19. Redirect to the ReturnUrl on the login page if you refresh and have already logged back in, eg. from another tab.

    Context: I usually have many Xero tabs open. If I am logged out due to session timeout, all of these tabs redirect to the login page with a ReturnUrl in the query string. If I log in on one of those login pages, I am correctly returned to where I was in that tab. If I refresh another one of the tabs after logging in, it stays on the login page rather than automatically redirecting to the ReturnUrl.

  20. The mobile app currently does not ask you to confirm your password when you setup a pin for your account. If you were to miss-enter your pin, which is easy to do, you essentially immediately lock yourself out of your account. The system should ask for a pin, then ask you to confirm the pin before finalising it, allowing you to go back a step if you enter in the wrong pin.
