  1. Xero Analytics Plus cashflow to show a year not just 90 days.
    The current cashflow upgrade from Xero only shows up to 90 day which is weird as in reality you need to forecast for the year. Is this going to be extended to a year like all the other cashflow apps ?

  2. It would be really useful to be able to view the email content/date/time/recipient, etc of the emails sent to CIS Subcontractors when we send the monthly CIS Statements via Xero to them.

  5. When using the old reports, when you opened them up they would show the current month. Now they show 12/31/22 which is useless now that we are into March. They should either default to prior month (which is what QBO does) or current month (which is what Xero used to do).

  6. Currently there is no definitive link between posted documents and the Journal Report. Having the Document reference will simplify examination of the audit trail.

  8. Just looked at the new Aged Payable report > Aged Payables Detail - it doesn't show credit notes which been allocated to invoices. This is very confusing as we can't reconcile against the statement. Please review the report and add in credit notes, even if they have been allocated to the Invoices, or advise which report I need to use when reconciling the account.

  9. Under the GL Summary Report(new) and GL Detailed Report (new), i notice they run by account code in alphabetical order as a result of which some Balance Sheet and P/L items are mixed together.

    How can i run both the above reports in a way whereby all the Balance Sheet items are on top in alphabetical order follow by all the P/L items thereafter in alphabetical order

    Can anyone help

  10. The filter right now only allows to select all or select/deselect some, but sometimes it would be easier to be able to just exclude something (an account, a group of accounts, a contact, an invoice etc).

  12. For large farms/orchards or multiple businesses in the group, needing a P & L each for each Farm and Orchard. Then a combined statement P & L bringing all the totals together with the group overhead expenses. Currently have to do separate custom reports in Xero then paste in, would be good to have it all formated in one spot not doing multiple reports and copying and pasting. Currently using another accounting software provider to do the financials and only using Xero to collect the date, would be good to have it all in one spot

    Hi Tracey, appreciate it's been sometime since you initially raised your idea here. Not getting any community support this will soon be removed from the forums. However, taking a read through it may be worth looking into Tracking to see if this feature could be useful to track expenses for each orchard/farm. The P&L could then be set up to provide columns of the expenses and revenue for each orchard comparably. Thanks

  13. Journal Accrual or Cash Basis default setting and journal import column.

    Default journal setting in is Xero is to post on a cash basis - apply a settings to select which basis is the default method (Cash or Accrual)

    Import journals on accrual basis - add an extra column to the import template to state if the journal is accrual or cash basis or a default setting if blank.

  14. I'm creating a new report at the request of a client and I want to be able to add the selection of periods to compare, but ... it doesn't give me the option. Please can you add this to the 'create reports' function , and then, we can really create, beautiful and meaningful reports for our clients.

The attached post indicates that Xero has delivered the ability to hide archived files by unticking the "Show Archived" box in the account transactions report and then saving it as a custom report. I have tried this, but it doesn't work. Every time I go into my custom report which should have the Show Archived box unticked it is always ticked and the archived accounts are showing. Could you please look at this again.

    Hi Sally, appreciate the image back to the earlier update you're referring to here. Is it possible that the custom report you're using was saved prior to the update and needs updating with any new setting changes and then saving again to hold these for future use? 

    If you're still finding the same behaviour, I'd highly recommend raising a case with our team of specialists at Support so they can dive into why settings you've saved in a custom report aren't being applied. Thanks 

  16. Previously, in old "Customer Invoice Report" there was a feature under "Dates" where we could select "ANY" which allowed Invoices created outside of your selected date range to be included in your report.
    This seems to be no longer available in the new "Receivable Invoice Report" and any invoices created outside of your selected date range (but paid within that date range) won't show up on the report.
    You can expand your date range but this has potential to re-list paid invoices from previous reports.
    Can "ANY' be added as an option to Dates as it was in previous version?

  17. Generate Reports with Trailing Time Periods

    I want to have a report that tracks how my business is doing on a trailing X-day time period. Standard windows I view are 7 days, 30 days, and 90 days.

    I would love it if I could create a custom P&L report that looks at the financial health of my business over the last 30 days whenever I open it up.

    The current work around is to manually specify dates by calculating what was 30 days or 90 days into the past which works, but is annoying.

  18. Ability to choose a cost limit for a fixed asset when the depreciation method is set to 'Full Depreciation at Purchase'.

    For instance a car is purchased for over the cost limit, therefore only $64k or so is able to be written off immediately with the balance to sit as an undepreciable amount.

    Currently the full depreciation at purchase method writes off the whole amount, and diminishing value at 100% with a cost limit will still pro-rata the depreciation for the year and not write off the full cost limit amount.

  19. Adding tracking categories to VAT return/reports:

    I would like to run a VAT return/report per quarter to be shown by tracking category rather than as a whole. There is not an option on the current VAT report to add the tracking categories, therefore I think this would add benefits to any client that uses tracking categories for departments.

    Thanks for your response, Jordan. Can see why the Account Transactions report won't fit in this scenario. 

    To be upfront we don't have current plans around this with much of our reporting teams focus on change in the new reporting framework in lead up to removing older reports in July this year - More on this here 

    I've slightly amended the title of your idea and we'll feel out the interest for this here and update if any change is planned. 

    For now if not already, I'd highly encourage sharing link to the idea here with your clients and colleagues that'd like to see this to support, too.
