    Hi all, wanted to share a workaround here for those who aren't already aware.

    You can run the Account Transactions report on a cash basis and if you filter it by the CIS Labour Income or CIS Asset account, you can see the invoices which have been included in the CIS Suffered report.

    We don’t have any plans in the near term to expand functionality on the CIS Suffered report. If anything changes in this space, we’ll update you on this idea!

    Appreciate the interest in being able to set default tracking options against inventory items.

    While this isn't possible at an item level atm, it might be useful to some here knowing that you can set default tracking for your contacts.

    To be open we don't have any immediate plans for extending default tracking set up against items, however we'll keep a pulse on the interest here and if there are any plans made we'll be sure to let you know.

    Hi everyone, apologies we've not provided an update here before now. Over the past year there's been a lot of development throughout Sales, more centralised around the new invoicing experience. With the upgraded technology new invoicing is built on we've been able to begin developing the send experience, with improvements to customise and send invoices, and help you get paid faster.

    Being able to automate the send of customer statements is high on our product teams radar, however we want to be transparent that this isn't planned in the short term. As we continue to develop and uplift throughout the Sales experience this is definitely an area the team will draw closer attention to, however with lots of different projects on the go we aren't able to bring focus to this right now.

    Hi community, thanks for getting involved here and letting us know the importance around being able to see the details whenever an invoice is sent from Xero. We understand the importance of this to our customers and our product team are beginning to review this idea to solve needs in this space.     Hi community, we really appreciate your feedback on this and hearing why you'd like to be able to change the organisation's name that's shown when sending invoices from Xero.

    This is on our teams radar, and is something they may look into longer term however we want to be open that it's not in the current roadmap.

    We'll continue to track and keep across the interest from our community, and if there's any news to share we'll update you on this, here.

    Hi community, as mentioned in my last post we want to keep you looped in on changes around autosave.

    Our product team has continued to focus attention on how we can make invoicing faster and more responsive to improve our customers' experience.

    We've recently optimised autosave to require less processing power, leading to faster invoice loading and saving.

    Our decision remains that we won’t be adding an option to turn off autosave on invoices. However, we hope this change improves your experience with autosave in draft invoices over time. Thanks again for your feedback.

    Hi everyone, to front foot some of the recent comments we will not be bringing back classic invoicing. With developments continuing within new invoicing, we do want to let you know that our product teams are highly engaged with your feedback and the ideas for new invoicing on the site.

    We understand there's good interest in being able to add a payment directly from the invoice screen and appreciate the efficiencies expressed by customers in being able to do this. At present we're reviewing this feature and will move the idea across to Under Review. I'll be back to share more on the outcomes. Thanks

    Thanks everyone for your feedback on the invoice print option. We know how much our customers value efficient workflows, and appreciate you sharing your thoughts on how the current "Print PDF" button works. 

    For those of you looking for a smoother printing experience, a helpful workaround is to set your browser to automatically open PDFs in your preferred viewer after downloading. This can save you a few clicks in the process.

    In the interest of transparency, a direct print PDF functionality that go through the download step isn't in our development plans.

    Hi community, appreciate your feedback on the new GST return and detail of how the Publish feature is useful to you. While we don't have immediate plans for developing this in the new return, this is something we're monitoring and will consider as a future improvement.     Thanks for all your feedback here, everyone. The way you add description only lines in new invoicing is a little different to classic and we wanted to explain in hopes it'll help with how you're using new invoicing. 
    When entering a description only line, you can enter text in the description field of the line. If you add detail to any other field the line will be treated as a 'financial' line and you will need to include Qty, Unit price, Account and Tax rate.
    When an inventory item is added this uses the item code field and the line is treated as 'financial', so it's not possible to use inventory items as description only lines in new invoicing atm.

    Hi everyone, as another step toward improving history of new invoicing you'll find you'll now see an entry when an invoice is sent, and the email address it has been sent to. 

    We appreciate this is something we've heard a fair amount of feedback on and we hope helps in your journey to using new invoicing. 

    We still have more enhancements on the way for history and I'll be back again when more updates land.

    be able to "Tag" payment method types on contacts to easily identify bills that will be paid by SO or DD or a "to pay" tag to make it clearer which bills need to be actioned on the aged payables reports.
