  1. This is a real issue where you have a customer with multiple delivery addresses. Here is a typical scenario.

    1) Customer has one invoice address and 3 different shops.

    2) The online ordering system syncs across the customer contact details, one invoice address and 3 delivery addresses (here is the first problem, Xero will only use Shop 3 for the deliver address as it is the last one synced across).

    3) The online system creates an order for for invoicing for a delivery to Shop 2 and syncs it across.

    4) Xero creates the order but shows the delivery address…

  2. Add Notes reference for Statement of Cash Flows for totals.
    When preparing financial statements it is not possible to add a Notes reference for total lines. This is extremely frustrating as we normally have a note reconciling the net operating cash flows to the net operating profit. This requires PDF correction after exporting from Xero.

    Please add functionality to add a Notes reference for total lines in financial statements.

  3. The witholding variation should be on top of the existing PAYG calculation not overrides it, as it currently does. If an employee completes a MyGov employee Tax Form and notes they want an additional % amount variation withheld - it should be on top of their existing PAYG tax, not instead of it. There is no other option to put in a percentage amount in XERO.

    Or allow the upward variation amount to be a percentage amount - not just a fixed amount.

    The screenshot attached shows this employee should be paying tax on the full amount (no threshold claimed)…

  4. Please allow us to collect ACH direct debit payments through Stripe, and not force us to use a 3rd solution (GoCardless) for that.

    Stripe offers direct debit ACH when sending invoices directly from Stripe. There is no reason it shouldn't be available through Xero.

  8. It would be a huge benefit to be able to recall an email (with invoice attached) sent in error to the wrong client.

    An invoice has now gone to the wrong client and my manager will now have to have an embarrassing conversation with the competitor, due to my mistake.

    Hi community, we appreciate the feedback we received from everyone that participated in the survey shared in my last update. This has really helped deepen our teams understanding of our customers needs in inventory.

    As we develop and improve our customers experience when using inventory in Xero, we know that efficiency and being able to accurately track your inventory is important.   10. Could we include a notification when a staff member has a birthday? This has multiple benefits including allowing us to check if their award salary or benefits need to change and also be able to congratulate them on their birthday. Surely it wouldn't be a huge change to make but would be a unique and helpful change for many SME as I currently need to create a new Google calendar for staff birthdays, creating additional work especially when we have 50+ staff and low retention in hospitality. Thank you.

    Appreciate the interest through the idea, but want to be open that we don't have any development planned for adding reminders or notification of an employees birth date atm. 

    I see there are some supporters from NZ and UK in the idea here and wanted to point you across to these specific ideas for each region that I'd encourage adding your support for - Each version of Xero Payroll has been developed specifically for the that regions tax and reporting obligations and this would need to be developed for each version separately. Thanks

  11. In the Payroll software, we can only allocate Direct wages to the cost of sales. Unfortunately, that doesn't include Employer NI nor Employer Pension cost in the cost of sales.
    Such coding would be useful, as we now use Birghtpay to do such coding.
    Without this feature, the gross profit margin and overheads are incorrect.

  12. Location and time tracking, as it stands you can only enter start and finish time. Be good to have a login and logout to track worked hours in real time not just estimating. Location tracking through the timesheet would also help with when switching jobs.

  13. We need to be able to create a report that lists inventory item sales and includes the customer name AND other customer contact information such as email address or phone number.

    There have been occasions where I've needed to contact a large group of customers that have purchased a product from me due to a misprint in a book or an update to a title. At present, the only way I can do this is to export my inventory report and add the contacts manually. Xero Support Specialist - Daniel has confirmed this.

    If the payment is occurring at a different time to the transaction being entered is there a reason why the transaction is not being recorded as a bill, Anne-Marie? 

    There are lots of efficiencies in how bills can now be created in Xero without much manual intervention so would be good to understand more of the detail behind your business needs, here. 

  15. Projects - I would like to see the references for each invoice in the list of quotes and invoices on projects. It is difficult to tack what you have invoiced when you have to open each individual invoice.

    Hi community, we understand user roles and the permissions a user has across an organisation is important to many businesses. Right now, as some may have seen across other ideas I've updated - we have some research underway to help us better understand where and how we might best tackle the most predominant needs in roles.

  17. A number of my client are service businesses and as such all of the payroll costs should be posted either to a Cost of Sale account for Operational staff or Overhead for support staff. I can achieve this for all costs except for Employer NIC cost, which has to be manually moved. It would be beneficial if the NIC could go to an NIC GL dependent upon the type of basic pay chosen.

  18. In the old Xero reports as part of the management report, it was possible to run a report that showed month by month actuals for the FY to date then the budget month by the month for the rest of the financial year to give a full year forecast.

    However, in the new Xero reports, this functionality has gone. Try and write my own report but the dates don't update automatically regardless of the reporting date you select (as confirmed by a Xero specialist)

    So I can write a report that shows 4 columns - Jan - Apr actuals, then…

  19. VAT reporting in the EU includes ICP reporting for sales to other EU countries (aka pre-Brexit EC Sales reporting). Part of the reporting requirement is to supply the customers VAT number on the ICP return. The customers VAT number is supplied at the time of invoicing and is included on the invoice and in the customer contact details so is an existing field in Xero.
