  3. Once you close a period, pulled all the accounts and happy with the financial position, you close the period to stop posting to that period. But when you receive a old supplier invoice, which has been accrued in, Xero does not allow you to post the invoice without re-opening the period date. This means, you either reverse your accrual journal to post the older invoice, changing the financial position or manully altering the invoice date, to post it into current period.   4. Please remove the invoice amount from the "New Invoicing"

    This should be optional for set templates like the classic invoicing where you could turn it off and on. It doesn't look great and prefer the older layout of the emails where you could control the layout more.

  5. When I login to Xero, I enter my email address and password and am taken to the second page (MFA).

    I'm then asked for the authenticator code, but I have to click into the field to enter the code.

    Xero knows that there is an almost 100% likelihood that the first (and only) thing I am going to do on that page is enter the MFA code.

    Xero should automatically have the cursor in that field so that I can type the code without clicking into the field.

  6. Could Xero start looking at a drop down box on the allowance to have one as Not Reportable (alongside the other catagories eg. Meals, Tools, Car), and to have it out for STP reporting? or another checkbox down the bottom along with the withholding tax, super, and W1 questions?
    Instead of going through the long winding process of creating an ordinary earning, remove as deduction and do a reimbursement as per https://central.xero.com/s/article/Process-special-pay-items-like-living-away-from-home-allowance

    Hi team, to export a list of all Tracking categories in your org, you may find the Tracking Summary report of use to you here. Alternatively, you could run the Account Transactions report and Summarise by the Tracking category. 

    The one caveat here for both reports is that they'll only show a list of the tracking options that have been used within the date range the report is run. 

  9. There is a role setup for Invoices Only (Purchases). This is useful if you want to have a User process Accounts Payable Invoices, but without providing access to Sales Invoices.

    However, if you login with this role, you can see 'All Contacts' as well as the list of all 'Customers' and the billing amounts outstanding. Surely this is inappropriate if the role is for Invoices Only (Purchases)?

    The suggestion is that a user with the role 'Invoices Only (Purchases) can see Supplier contacts, but cannot view Customer contacts (which is really what most people would expect if this role is…

    Hi team, we'd like to return with another update for everyone here. As mentioned in my last response our current support for Peppol eInvoicing in Xero extends to orgs in AU, NZ, UK, SG and MY.

    We are still in discovery of development for UK orgs to send eInvoices to EU businesses and govt agencies - It is worth noting that right now the Belgian mandate does not impact UK suppliers to Belgian businesses.

    That said, I am pleased to share that work for expanding Peppol to support other countries with regular Peppol support (including Belgium, Ireland and Malta) is already underway and expected to be live before December 2025. We will keep you updated of further news around this through the idea, here. Thanks!

  12. You can only allocate payment on accounts to a customer ledger on Xero by clicking 'Overpayment' which is very long winded. Please can this be simplified to select the customer and then allocate straight as a 'payment on account' and then this can be allocated to the invoice once this is uploaded.

    In addition, if there is money out that gets contra'd against money received from a client, there is no way of coding this to the customer ledger.

  14. I Also, when will we get the stop function in Xero? I've been asking Xero for 6 years. I know you can restrict invoices by credit limit but, customers could be well under their limit but overdue in paying. A stop function is critical to any accounting system.

  16. We always have a significant number of bills "Awaiting Approval". As such our P&L is never accurate and for our large company it is out significantly.

    It is the exception and rare that a bill will not be approved (ie didnt receive stock). Therefore the P&L would finally be closest and most accurate if it included "Awaiting Approval"

    This should be included. If not then a button should be available so that the company can make this decision themselves and include the "Awaiting Payment" bills.

    Hi everyone, we appreciate why some customers would like to have bills that are still in a draft or awaiting approval status included in reporting results.

    These transaction types do not impact the general ledger until they are approved within your organisation, which is why they cannot be included in the Profit & Loss report.

    Understand that is not within the report that you're asking here, however the Payable Invoice reports (Summary and Detail) can be run to include these transaction types, so you could get a view of the amounts related to these type of transactions.

    We want to be upfront that this isn't something we have intentions of developing financial reports to accommodate for in Xero.

  17. Modify the Budget Manager so that it accepts 2 decimal places and does not round to the nearest full dollar.

    Rounding all figures means that the Net Profit amount is incorrect which means the budgets are incorrect.

  20. When adding a new employee's super fund, being able to add the fund by entering the USI number.

    If that can't be done, at least show the USI next to the super fund name so we can make sure we are selecting the correct super fund.
