    Thanks for sharing and supporting this idea - while I don't have an update specific to this idea, I thought you might be interested in the following:

    Our AU Payroll team are testing some changes to Payroll reconciliation. The idea to create an AU payroll reporting pack is highly associated with payroll reconciliation and we feel that voters here would also have an interest in payroll reconciliation. They would love to hear from you!

    They’re aiming to conduct some 1 on 1 interviews between 6 Feb - 16 Feb 2024, the interviews will last 45 minutes.

    The purpose of the session: Participants will be asked to help with testing a prototype concept designed to enhance the AU payroll reconciliation process.

  2. When adding a new employee's super fund, being able to add the fund by entering the USI number.

    If that can't be done, at least show the USI next to the super fund name so we can make sure we are selecting the correct super fund.

    Currently to make sure I am selecting the correct super fund in Xero when adding a new employee, to confirm the USI I need to go to my organisation, settings, payroll settings, superannuation and then, because I can't sort alphabetically or search for a fund name or USI, I basically have to add a…

  3. Currently, it’s not possible to assign a invoice only-Purchases (orders and bills) user permission and not be able to see bills paid or to have the Invoice Only create drafts user role and see purchase orders approved by other users. Can you include this option in Xero?

    Hey everyone, just a quick update on this one, as it was shifted to delivered in error.

    Whilst we have refreshed the VAT dashboard widget with a new look, it does not display your current VAT liability - apologies for the confusion.

    We’ll be opening this idea back up to votes and feedback from the community.

    As the team have confirmed this is one they’re exploring, we’ll pop it in ‘working on it’ for now.

  6. Ability to give users options to customise various graphic reports on the dashboard.

    Purpose: Users’ can easily see the graph and business performance from the dashboard.

  7. Dashboard- It would be great if Xero gave us more options to edit out Dashboards. Two colums are not enough, at the most I get to see four accounts before I have to scroll, they needn't be so large either. If they had three colums, and we could shrink the size of the 'boxes' then we could easily see a better snapshot of work to do and where the business is at.

  8. Ability to insert forecasted figures into Xero and run a forecast report alongside the budget report. We get to half year and assess how on track we are with budget and more often than not it makes sense to adjust the forecast numbers for the remainder of the period but not lose sight of what the budget was in the first place.
    If we're able to run a report with actuals for YTD and forecast for the remainder of the period it would be hugely helpful

  9. I Also, when will we get the stop function in Xero? I've been asking Xero for 6 years. I know you can restrict invoices by credit limit but, customers could be well under their limit but overdue in paying. A stop function is critical to any accounting system.

Would like to see switch rules work in the notes to the financial accounts the same way they work on the balance sheet - allowing for reclassification of accounts with negative balances, for example negative current asset to current liability or negative non-current liability to move to non-current asset.

    These issues are particularly acute when an account goes from positive to negative and vice-versa between current year and prior year.

    On the basis the switch rule does not operate correctly in the notes to the financial accounts, means that in many cases the switch rule is rendered an unusable feature…

    Thank you for sharing your feedback and voting on the idea here, community. While we've reviewed this idea and appreciate the needs in what you're wanting here, we want to be open that we don't have any plans for developing a billable expenses report of this nature in the near term.

    We will continue to track the interest here, and share if anything changes.

  14. Payroll Department Coding - to be able to put a department code on all payroll categories and report to show employee name/gross wages/department coding assigned to payroll. The only way in Xero at the moment is through timesheets but this does not allow for all payroll categories to have a department code allocated. And when producing a timesheet report it does not show the $ gross wages for each employee only the hours. Need to include coding on allowances, leave and super.

  15. Ability to reserve inventory (through invoices or some other format) to account for pre-sales or consignment of goods

  16. In Payroll --> Timesheet --> entering hours for employees, there is no option to 'Approve & Next' employee, which would make entering hours easier. It would mean one doesn't have to keep going back to the main Timesheet menu when they are working through a roster of staff.

  17. Hi, It would be great if payslips line items match the 'pay template' pay items or alternatively, for pay items that have a YTD amount to be shown on all payslips (with the Nil or $amount for the current pay period as applicable with the YTD) to breakdown 'Other Previous Earnings'.
    This will also assist tracking multiple pay items where it can vary each pay cycle, coding and tracking STP rates and categories, YE finalisation and review. Many thanks.

  20. Ability to choose a cost limit for a fixed asset when the depreciation method is set to 'Full Depreciation at Purchase'.

    For instance a car is purchased for over the cost limit, therefore only $64k or so is able to be written off immediately with the balance to sit as an undepreciable amount.

    Currently the full depreciation at purchase method writes off the whole amount, and diminishing value at 100% with a cost limit will still pro-rata the depreciation for the year and not write off the full cost limit amount.
