  1. I have clients whose bookkeeper does the payroll and also processes accounts payable/receivable invoices. Currently we can't have submit/draft only invoice access AND payroll access. This means that if they want to do payroll, they also get access to approval of invoices. Can we please create a user role where draft/payroll access is combined?

  3. When posting conversion balances, you have to post balances at the end of the month. If you could select a day, i.e. 5th of April, it would make posting conversion balances a lot easier

  4. I would like Xero to automatically lock the ABN on a client's file after the first STP event has been lodged. This will prevent clients changing the ABN when they change the entity's structure and reporting STP incorrectly across two ABNs. Undoing this mess is a nightmare.

    We're currently looking at ways we could help fix double counting for issues at the ATO that have been made due to changes made to an organisation's ABN/Branch number and it'd be great to get input and further feedback from some of you here to help us understand and solve these issues.

  5. In projects it would be most useful we there were more user permission options. A check box of permissions you could give all staff
    1- only have staff see the projects they are assigned to - To give staff privacy on work hours and expenses.
    2- give all staff regardless of their permission access to expenses
    3- give or withhold what financial information they can and can not see
    4- give or limit the options for invoices/quotes

    Blanket permissions don't work.

  7. Ability to merge multiple bills from one supplier into one bill.

    Purpose: To combine bills related to a single source or event, and show a link between. Also saves time from having to recreate lines from an existing bill in another.

    Hey community, thanks for your sharing and supporting this idea.

    We wanted to share for those that may not already know - right now you can combine multiple bills to mark them as paid in a single batch payment? Bills display separately in Xero, but bills for the same supplier are combined in the payment file, so each supplier receives a single payment and reference.  Appreciate that this may not help for all workflows of those who voted for this idea so we'll continue to monitor interest and feedback on the idea.

  8. Ability to give users options to customise various graphic reports on the dashboard.

    Purpose: Users’ can easily see the graph and business performance from the dashboard.

  9. Currently remittance advice can be sent based on payments. It is not possible to send multiple remittances at the same time without using the batch payment method.

    As we have a lot to send, is it possible to look into some ways to send some remittance advice in a more efficient way for cases like with several payments to one person or multiple advice to multiple receivers? Or any automation for regular ones? Instead of downloading PDF one by one / sending email by payments one by one?

  10. Could Xero please introduce the ability to report child support deductions and garnishees via STP reporting to the ATO.

    Xero currently does not support reporting of child support deductions through STP Phase 2 with Xero Payroll.

  15. Have the original currency + amount available as field options in the Reports section, so I can run an expense details report and see both the original currency and the GBP.

    The use case here is that we have US people using Xero Expenses who need paying in USD. I have to go into each expense item to manually write down the USD value and the add it up to pay. It's properly daft when I know the currency amount is there. And we can't enter it as a bill because they are using Xero expenses.

  16. It would be extremely helpful to allow the user to show additional rows for certain expenditure and/or income items, broken down by tracking category. In our small business, we run 3 or 4 events per year, and we like to track box office and performer payments via tracking categories. We would then like to show these as rows rather than columns on our P&L reports.

    Would possibly need to consider the # of communications individual contacts are receiving if you had unlimited reminders.

    Hi community, thanks for your continued input to the idea here. While this isn't something we have planned in the near term, we wanted to share a possible

    alternative where you could send the prepayment transaction to your customer.

    Unallocated customer prepayments can be found on the Awaiting Payment tab on your sales screen. You could add a separate invoice template to use with receipts for prepayments and consider making the following changes.

    • Change the 'Approved Invoice title' field to Receipt.
    • Deselect the Show unit price and quantity columns.
    • Deselect the tax column.
    • Deselect the Show payment advice cut-away
