  2. It would be really useful to have a report the same as the "Billable Expense Report - Outstanding" that shows the same info but for paid invoices, preferably with the ability to filter by invoice number or bill number

    Thank you for sharing your feedback and voting on the idea here, community. While we've reviewed this idea and appreciate the needs in what you're wanting here, we want to be open that we don't have any plans for developing a billable expenses report of this nature in the near term.

    We will continue to track the interest here, and share if anything changes.

  3. New invoicing forces you to populate fields in order and I cannot set the tracking code until the description / amount et al are filled.

    Please can the ability to populate in any order just classic invoicing

    It’s interesting to hear the different ways our users invoice and we appreciate you sharing how we could improve the flow of entry for you here. Being open this isn’t something we have plans for right now, however as our team plan further developments within invoicing, we’d like to engage you all here. To help our product teams get a better understanding of our invoicing users for future improvements, we’ve put a survey together and would love to hear your feedback through this.

  4. Have numerous SAGE systems not now in use but it would be useful to get into Xero but do not need a monthly subscription although it would be nice for a one off fee to get a xero (READ ONLY)
    set of SAGE DATA in case any historical info required.

  7. As an event company, we often receive bills months after the original project is "complete". I wish I could assign costs to "complete" projects the same way that I can assign invoices to "complete" projects.

    Hi Leah, when you've closed/completed a project it is still possible to add Bills and new Expense tasks to it. 

    From the bill you'll be able to look up and assign lines of your Bill, or within the project you can simply add an expense. The only transactions you can no longer add once closed are Billable expenses, Spend monies and time entries. 

    Is there a specific reason you need to enter the expense as one of these type of items?

    Would love to see the autosave available for Quotes. Often my clients are distracted whilst creating Quotes and when they've navigated to another section (rather than opening a new Xero tab), the Quote disappears!
    For one of my clients, his quoting is very detailed and this process takes valuable time which he'd rather not have to repeat if the Quote is no longer there.
    Invoices are autosaved of course, once a Contact is entered, so I would assume that the same principle could easily be applied to Quotes....

    Hi team, while we understand the desire for auto-save in quotes here, we want to be open that we don't have plans for changing the current save behaviour for quotes for the time being. While seemingly simple there is a fine balance in creating a save experience that'll suit majority of users. As some may have seen with new invoicing that has auto-save implemented, we've received wide ranging response for this feature, and there is more work needed to fine tune.

    To confirm the current experience, when creating quotes in Xero you'll want to select the Save button before navigating elsewhere in your org, or leaving the page to ensure the contents of your quote is saved.

    If there are any intentions of changing how save works in quotes, we will surely let you know on the idea here. Thanks

  9. It would be great if a column could be added to either the Aged Receivables Report or the Receivable Invoice Detail Report that shows the number of days the invoice is overdue by.

    The number of days an invoice is overdue by can be seen on the 'Awaiting Payment' tab in the invoice section in Xero, but even on this part the information cannot be exported.

  10. Under Custom Reports

    I send out reports to my departments each month, this morning it took 4 hours to add the tracking codes to the new P & L reports (we love the new report and so do our Department Heads).
    I was wondering if there is a way of saving each custom report for each individual dept with their tracking within a folder. We have a Junior and Senior Campus and about 45 departments at each. We already have a lot of custom reports so having a folder system would allow each Admin staff member to access what they…

    There's no facility to create folders in the Reports Centre for this sort of categorisation atm. 


    We'll begin tracking support in this here. 

  11. A year-end payroll report which lists the employees, and provides total amounts for Gross earnings, PAYE, and all other deductions for the financial year, with company totals at the bottom. Basically it could just be a one-page summary for the year, depending how many employees there are. Most other payroll systems have the report option, and it's very important for end of year wages reconciliations.

  12. Currently, it’s not possible to assign a invoice only-Purchases (orders and bills) user permission and not be able to see bills paid or to have the Invoice Only create drafts user role and see purchase orders approved by other users. Can you include this option in Xero?

  13. Payroll Department Coding - to be able to put a department code on all payroll categories and report to show employee name/gross wages/department coding assigned to payroll. The only way in Xero at the moment is through timesheets but this does not allow for all payroll categories to have a department code allocated. And when producing a timesheet report it does not show the $ gross wages for each employee only the hours. Need to include coding on allowances, leave and super.

  15. When users are reconciling quite often two mistakes are made frequently:

    • Reconciling wages payable incorrectly to Wages and salaries (expense)
    • Reconciling super payable incorrectly to Superannuation (expense)

    It would be great to have a checkbox similar to "Enable Payments" that says "Do not allow reconciliation to this account" so that when people search for wages/superannuation they can't get shown the incorrect option.

  18. New invoicing...Very slow page load speeds to both open/create a new invoice on the new invoicing platform...and also to add a payment.

    Current wait time is 15-20 seconds per page load.

    Ive cleared cache and cookies to no avail

    Appreciate the short videos and can see what you're saying, Chris - Have you raised a case with our Xero Support team about the slowness in loading?

    Actual slowness in the page loading are issues that we'd like to dig into deeper as they aren't occurring for all users so it'd be good to be able to investigate one on one with our Xero Support team who can escalate if needed. Thanks

  19. As default, can you please turn off the check box "Show journal on cash basis reports"
    For users that rely on the 'Cash Summary' report, non-cash journals create significant difficulty getting a true read on the cash position of the business, a key requirement for this report. Thanks

  20. Remove the feature of 'Other Previous Earnings', or an option of allowing us to choose whether to have this feature. Grouping all previous pay items into 'Other Previous Earnings' in the same financial year is confusing and our employees won't understand what it is for. Please get rid of it!
