  1. We need to give a user the 'Invoice only (sales)' permissions but do not want them to view invoices created by other users or ANY sales figures such as 'total awaiting payment' or 'total overdue'.

    It would be incredibly useful to have tick box options for main permissions when setting up a new Invoice Only user. These permissions should include:
    - View sales totals
    - Approve invoices
    - View invoices created by other users
    - View Invoices awaiting payment tab

  2. From Chart of Accounts, click on an amount in the YTD column. The account loads with the transactions in date order oldest to newest. Please reverse this (or create an option) for the transactions to load with the latest transactions first by default.

  3. Currently there is very limited information on the contacts main page. All it has is the name and if they owe or we owe. It would be so useful to see if they are allocated to a Contact Group and what date they were added, and perhaps the last transaction (so we can quickly bulk archive contacts that have not been used for a while). This would make contact management so much easier, as currently we need to click into each contact one-by-one which is just not feasalbe, therefore resulting in a contact system which is very unorganised.

  4. I would like Xero to automatically lock the ABN on a client's file after the first STP event has been lodged. This will prevent clients changing the ABN when they change the entity's structure and reporting STP incorrectly across two ABNs. Undoing this mess is a nightmare.

    Hi everyone, we understand that it's not ideal when the one person who set up a bank feed is away, causing delays to your reconciliation.

    This is a tricky one, and the limitation you're experiencing is due to how certain bank feeds work, when supplied via our third party provider, Yodlee. These feeds are tied to an individual's online banking login credentials. When a bank requires multi-factor authentication (MFA) – like security questions or a one-time code – only the user who originally set up the feed can provide those details to refresh it. This is a security measure required by the bank, not by Xero, and you can read more about this here.

  7. As a charity funded entirely by donation we receive the majority of funds via online bank receipts. Because the bank receipt is standard, I currently manually create a receipt for our donors in word which I can attach to the bank receipt transaction and email to the donor. This is very time-consuming and I think it would be a very easy fix to allow customisation as with invoices

  9. Please please please Xero can you work on a proper Square bank feed integration so we don't have to keep using Amaka or other 3rd party connection apps!!!
    Why can't we connect Square as a bank account with a feed similar to Stripe?!?! We are in 2024, square has been around for 15years!!

    I have so many issues with Square! And it is one of the most widely used payment processors!

    Hi everyone, thanks for sharing your feedback on a direct bank feed for Square. We understand that using a third-party integration isn't always seamless and that a direct feed, like the one for Stripe, would make life easier when reconciling your payments.

    As noted by others here, the current solution is to connect an app from the Xero App Store to bring your Square transactions into Xero, or you can continue to manually import these. 

    Right now, building a direct bank feed for Square isn’t in our plans. We're continuing to monitor the interest in this idea, so please keep adding your votes and comments as it helps us see the demand.

Currently, for monthly employees, Xero does not take into consideration the fact that they have been set up to be paid the same amount each month, therefore the days in the month are meaningless from a pay perspective. Unfortunately, this means that the basis leave accrues on to work out how many hours a public holiday/personal/annual leave day should be when leave is entered is also meaningless. Instead of defaulting to 7.6 (or 8) hours/day leave taken, it does a calculation based on the number of working days in a month. So if someone is being paid on the basis…

  12. When a client fails to pay Superannuation Guarantee levy on time the employer should lodge a Super Guarantee charge form. Is it possible to develop a form where the affected employees can be printed & exported to excel to enable a simple "cut & paste"? If the ATO have started an investigation this can save many hours of work especially if the period covered is several years.

  13. The lock date feature is great for preventing back posting as a whole but we would benefit from a lock feature for specific nominal accounts - to prevent colleagues posting to a specific account until dates are unlocked.

    Perhaps in the meantime you could look to use the Archive and restore options for an account in your chart of accounts as a way of managing this? 

  14. When converting a Purchase Order to a bill it would be great if there was a way of transferring any PDFs attached to the PO to the Bill. At the moment you need to remember to do this manually.

    If the payment is occurring at a different time to the transaction being entered is there a reason why the transaction is not being recorded as a bill, Anne-Marie? 

    There are lots of efficiencies in how bills can now be created in Xero without much manual intervention so would be good to understand more of the detail behind your business needs, here.

  17. Unscheduled payruns - the ability to not include pending leave. When processing bonuses etc, Xero automatically puts in the up coming leave even though it is not appropriate to be included in this unscheduled payrun and should be in the standard payrun. Because we pay monthly this only exacerbates the situation. To have the option to not include the leave in that payrun would help with this.

  18. We have hourly paid employees who get paid 12 x per year with either a 4 week or 5 week pay period. At present, Xero doesn't give this option to change a pay period within payroll calendars. There are only set pay periods.

  19. UK Payroll- Access to a communal time off calendar for all employees.
    As a smaller business we try to have one employee off at a time where possible- it would be hugely useful if they could access a shared leave calendar in the same place as they request leave & submit timesheets from. This would pull data from my admin overview calendar and stop me having to create external calendar in iOS and another in android which leads to missing data etc and wasted holiday requests. They could see if the leave they want is available prior to the request.

  20. As it stands the "template" is largely superficial, whereas a template should be meaningful.

    When I think of invoice templates, I think: unit prices, quantities, etc... much like your "repeated invoices" except the repeated invoices don't include dynamic dates. Monthly billing for a team is a nightmare.

    So either expand the templates to include meaningful features, or add dynamic dates to the repeated invoices. Preferably the second option so I don't have to constantly rebuild invoices for my team.
