Customer Statements - Add a Pay Now link

Ability to add a Pay Now link to statements so customers can pay all outstanding bills via the statement they receive.

Purpose: To make it easier for customers to view and pay their outstanding bills and make a bulk payment for all at once.

Hi team, I'm thrilled to confirm that the ability for your customers to pay invoices in bulk from an outstanding customer statement is now live to all customers!

When you email an outstanding statement to a customer it'll now have an option to 'Review and pay' taking them to an online view of the statement, and if you've set up Stripe as a payment service they'll be able to pay you in the moment 😁

    YES! FINALLY!!!! I have been using my own custom made template for this for ages - seems crazy to send a client a statement with 10+ outstanding invoices on it and expect them to open each invoice and click the links separately...! this pay now feature is well overdue. thank you Xero! I am v sad I didn't get to try it out though... hopefully in the next pool??!

    Hi, some of our customers does not want review and pay button in customer statement email. Is there any way we can remove the link?

    I have discovered that there is now a "Review and Pay" button on statements.

    It will only appear if the invoice is new. I have found that you can prompt it to show in older statements by "editing" an invoice. You don't need to edit anything, you just need to make Xero think you have edited the invoice.

    We are a school using Xero we invoice annually and parents can pay monthly so it is really necessary for the online payment method to be linked to statements as well. Doesn't make sense that this is still unavailable.

    This is a really basic omission which, having just switched to Xero, I'm really frustrated about. I hope it gets added very soon.

    I can't believe I've just stumbled across this as a feature that doesn't already exist.

    In my view it's very primative that with xero you can't add a link to 'pay now' when sending statement e-mails. It is 2025.. this should be already available... come on xero developers, please get this enacted. There's businesses like ours setting up direct debits for customers, growing sending an ever increasing number of invoices, team Xero should be treating this as a priority.

    Competitiors already do this?! Although I suppose if it's left long enough, enough folk will start looking elsewhere for accountancy programmes and there won't be a need for this anymore!

    Yes, update please. This function is a must for those of us who have customers/clients who are required to pay multiple invoices at once. Can we please get this function added ASAP.

    When adding credit card payment options such as stripe, how come it can only be applied to invoices and not statements? We as a company sometimes pay our accounts at EOM with credit cards, but if any of our suppliers use Xero and we want to pay them by credit card, I have to call them to pay for the account in full as the payment options is only for an invoice and we may have received 10 invoices from that supplier in that month. I don't want to pay 10 times and potentially pay a fee ten times. I have looked to see if this is an option, but it doesn't seem to be.

    I use custom templates for our business and I created a workaround by using a paypal and stripe link in the footer of the template (not in the body, links don't work) which isn't perfect as amounts need to be manually entered... but better than nothing! if anyone wants help with custom templates I have evolved into someone of an expert!! As some of the fundamentals are missing by Xero. so have had to workaround a LOT. Necessity makes inventors of us all!

    I've spent a few hours trying to get the Pay Now button on statements, such a basic function that I'm surprised it's not available.
    After emailing Pin and searching Xero & the web for answers, this feed tells me it's not possible. This is a MUST HAVE.

    8 months since the last update Xero. Seems such basic functionality whilst all updates have been focussed on other stuff. The Xero users are really telling you where priorities lie but feel ignored.

    "Early days"???? this is a post from Feb 2024, it's now Aug 2024!!! How difficult can it be???
