  1. We have assigned users to different projects in Xero Projects. However we are not able to filter reports based on Assigned Users. There is currently no filter or a separate column we could use to filter a report to show all projects assigned to a particular user and not the whole company. This would be useful for Project Summary reports in particular.

  2. Ability to select one or two users to receive the notifications when there’s some changes in a Bank account.

    Purpose: Because some staff in Xero doesn’t need to know if there’s changes within the bank account.

  3. Email allocation to different tasks for Xero-I think it would be beneficial to be able to allocate a different email address for a number of tasks, ie Invoices / statements have one, another for quotes and suppliers ie bills. I have a client that doesn't wish to receive every email for every aspect of the business as its not part of her role. Do you think this would be possible?

  4. Provide an option to allow standard users to publish bank reconciliation reports, but not all reports.

    As a Xero Advisor, I don't always perform all of the accounting functions for my clients. For some clients we mutually prefer to have them perform the bank reconciliation process each month. This is a standard internal control that isn't always outsourced. Requiring publishing bank reconciliation reports at the Advisor level user seems overkill and limits how advisors can manage levels of service assumed by the advisor and their clients.

  5. It would be really useful to be able to give users (dept. managers) access to Xero, but purely for their department, so they can view real time reports (profit & loss etc) of only their department, without having access to the company as a whole, or other people's departments.

  6. We would like our auditors / account reviewers to have Read Only access to our accounts in Xero however this does not enable them to view Xero Files, which is where we save our bank statements, etc.

    Currently we need to give them Standard Access so that they can have access to the documents in Files, however this also gives them the ability to change the accounts as well.

    We would like to suggest the Xero files be added to users with Read Only access.

Audit trail of logins to Xero - there seems to be a series of different visual aids and short screen reports showing when a user last logged in, however from an audit perspective, it would be ideal to have a report that can be run for set periods showing when users have logged in. The information to run this type of report is there from the History and Notes report and the Assurance Dashboard. However a report that shows a time/date stamp would be ideal as evidence in cases of fraud/performance management

Our administrator generates our invoices and has Invoice Only Access, we need her to be able to change whether an invoice is paid by GoCardless or not, one of our company owners has to do this at the moment which is an inconvenience, please change so users with Invoice Only Access have the ability to change online payments.

  9. With the recent changes to MFA dropping the remember devices from 30 days to 24 hours, the MFA prompt is now far more often (which is of course more secure) however it does slow down login.

    Could you please look at updating the MFA configuration to allow push notifications to the mobile authentication app, or better still the number match, which is far more secure. Examples from Microsoft is below, but the priciple would apply in most major platforms.

    This would improve the user experiance over the token, but also improve the security overall.

  10. It would be nice to be able to give access to the History and Notes to Standard users. Right now it's only visible for Advisors while I believe this is a feature that could be useful to Standard users as well.

    Hi everyone, we appreciate all the feedback and votes on this idea. We know using Microsoft Entra ID SSO is now common practice for some businesses and being able to access Xero via a native integration with Entra ID would streamline how your teams log in and get set up in Xero, as well as help in managing access for larger teams and keeping things secure.

    Our product team have been working with a small limited group of Partners to develop SSO capabilities. Though we can't give any definite timelines yet, we’ll keep this thread updated with news. Thanks

    Hey everyone, we've seen all your votes and comments, and we totally get it – not being able to schedule one-off invoices or pick specific send times is a real pain point. Your feedback makes it clear how much time it costs you and how it can affect your client relationships.

    Right now, repeat invoice templates go some way to providing some automation. But we know that's not quite what you're asking for when it comes to those one-off invoices or more precise timing for all your emails.

    The good news is, our product team is digging in to the work that'd be needed to develop a solution, and figuring out the best way to make this happen. While we can't give any promises just yet, please know that your feedback is a huge part of this discovery process. Keep those comments and votes coming!

    Hi all, appreciate and understand the support in being able to automate processes such as communication of payment received with a customer.

    Though seemingly simple there are a few complexities that'd need to be accommodated for when considering the solution here - such as behaviour for re-reconciliations (Remove & redo has been used), split transactions or Mark as reconciled is used.

    Our product teams in this area are working on building on beautiful experiences throughout Bank Reconciliation, which you'd have  have experienced this first with the Reconcile tab and they are now moving through other pages and features in Bank Rec - This'll take some time and with that at the fore-front right now we want to be upfront that we don't have immediate plans to add an automated email when a transaction line is reconciled.

    As we embark work on the Account Transactions tab we'll be able to revisit…

    Hi everyone, the demo company provides the ability to test and trial Xero features without impacting data in your live organisation. It's especially useful when you're getting started with the product or want to see how a feature works that you haven't used before.

    That said, we understand not all our customers want or need access to the demo company. We appreciate your feedback on being able to hide or remove this here, and our product team are aware of the interest and feedback surrounding this - Both from this direct thread and the previous commentary and votes from the older forum where this originated.

    While we don't have immediate plans, this is an area our team are looking to review. We will update you if there is any planned changes to this, through this idea.

    Hi everyone, we thoroughly appreciate your input and letting us know your appetite for being able to set the Reply to address for your Xero organisation, here in the idea. As many will have seen with new invoicing, our team have begun testing and making small change to the send experience. While we've been able to make these changes when developing other areas of Xero, we want to be upfront that we don't have a timeframe of when we'll upgrade the email settings page just yet, but this is something we will get to in time - when we do our team will also review the Reply to address options as part of this. So, though there is no movement to share on this just yet please know we will let you know here as soon as there is.

  18. There is a significant risk to accuracy allowing the ability to edit an approved invoice without further approval from a higher access tier to what is already provided.

    We have experienced a number of clients sending out the invoices to their clients and then editing the invoices, resulting in differences between the original invoice and that on the system. There is no real audit detail either.

    Therefore, the request is to consider introducing an additional access level restricting the editing / amending of documentation after approval.

  19. I think it would be great to have a screen to manage notifications settings.
    This could present a long list of notifications for different things (e.g. for me the important ones are activity statement due soon, STP filing overdue).
    For each item, the user could select if they want it active, how they want to be notified (e.g. header line, or in a widget), and whether to be emailed (very helpful for people like me who only log in once or twice a week and do a days work).

  20. Ability to make an email sent from Xero appear as @company-name.com instead of message-service@post.xero.com, when users send an email to their client/customer.

    Hi community, thanks for sharing your continued interest here. We appreciate the importance of having assurance that mail you send from Xero is being received, and that being able to send from your own company email would increase confidence in this process.

    I can confirm this idea has been continually reviewed by our product teams, and being able to send from your own company email is on their radar. Currently there are other priorities, and platform work that requires their attention, before they can consider this more deeply.

    When there is opportunity to pick this up, I will share any news with you all here.
