  1. QR Code on Invoice that goes to same web location as the 'View your Bill Online' link on Invoices.

    Currently, a Xero Invoice can have a link displayed for easy/direct payment by customer.

    I would like to see the option to include a QR Code, embeded within the EMAIL sent to customers, and on the PDF attached to the Email, that translates to the same link, allowing for easy payment of printed invoices at time of delivery.

    Great for 1st time customers, Pay on Delivery or COD customers.

  2. Prepayment automatically be created for the combined total of the "Income in Advance" lines.

    Purpose: To save users time from having to prepayment invoices manually by adding a payment to the invoice from Income in Advance

  4. On the invoice template there is a lot of 'white space', particularly to the right of the Product Description, which frequently wraps to a second line. The Product Item code also wraps to a second line on occasions. The Quantity, Unit Price, Discount and VAT columns could be reduced in width to allow for the increase in Item and Description fields.

    Hi community, thanks for your feedback here. While we won't be providing the ability to manually adjust column widths our product team recently released a new line item grid that with other improvements, optimises the padding, text size and column width so it is more compact and you can see more detail without the need to scroll. 

    All fields will also now wrap, so you'll be able to see all information of your account, tax rate and tracking without having to click into the field.

  5. Be able to search for a particular term within invoices. For instance as service that is not often invoiced. Could then allow you to copy that particular invoice to a new invoice.

  6. I have clients whose bookkeeper does the payroll and also processes accounts payable/receivable invoices. Currently we can't have submit/draft only invoice access AND payroll access. This means that if they want to do payroll, they also get access to approval of invoices. Can we please create a user role where draft/payroll access is combined?

  7. Ability to filter draft invoices by Contact Groups.
    We have a large number of customers who are moving toward shared accounting services (ie: centralised payment of our invoices). It would be great to be able to filter draft invoices by the Contact Group, or at the very least be able to see the contact group with the customer name on the draft invoice screen

  8. Please could you enable the option of re-ordering an invoice on the mobile app. Sometimes invoices need to be changed or additions to be made to specific dates. For example, if I want to amend my invoice and add a charge , I would like to be able to press a re-order tab, to make all items billed live, so I can move then up or down the invoice. It is not a new idea, a lot of payment software have this as standard.

  9. Layout of invoices with subtotal breakdowns for various VAT rates. To be able to present multiple subtotal amounts before various types of VAT are applied to the invoice. I have included an altered pdf file as an example of what you would want to see on the invoice.

  10. When previewing bills in 'awaiting payment' or 'awaiting approval' there used to be up and down arrows to cycle from one bill to the next or previous. The arrows have been removed from the interface with no plans to bring them back.

    Previously, we could review the account and GST coding of each bill, as well as having the attached invoice open to the right, including the abillity to review the Xero ocntact bank details by clicking on the contact name. Now, without the abiity to cycle between bills easily, it means we need to close each bill before…

  11. This is a real issue where you have a customer with multiple delivery addresses. Here is a typical scenario.

    1) Customer has one invoice address and 3 different shops.

    2) The online ordering system syncs across the customer contact details, one invoice address and 3 delivery addresses (here is the first problem, Xero will only use Shop 3 for the deliver address as it is the last one synced across).

    3) The online system creates an order for for invoicing for a delivery to Shop 2 and syncs it across.

    4) Xero creates the order but shows the delivery address…

  13. Sales Overview Improvement Request: Add "Send Date"

    To enhance our efficiency and reduce time spent looking up invoice details, it would be beneficial to add the "Send Date" to the Sales Overview page.

    Reason for the Request:

    Clients sometimes claim they have not received an invoice and ask when it was sent. Currently, to answer this, we must navigate into each individual invoice and check the history, which is time-consuming.
    Our team members occasionally inquire about the send date of invoices as well, and without this information readily visible, they too have to go into the invoice history.

On the contact activity it tells you when an invoice reminder was sent but what would be really useful from a contact relations POV would be to be able to click that interaction and view the email so that you could screenshot/resend it to a client who says they didn't receive it. For example I have one saying at the moment they never received the reminder but did the one after and the one before? Odd? Proving the amount, email it went to etc would be a useful "told you so" if you know what I mean.

  16. For businesses that only leverage ACH bank transfers as a form of payment, allow users the ability to remove all credit card logos from the invoice. It's not currently possible to remove the Visa and Mastercard logos from your invoices, when using Stripe as a payment service.

  17. When emailing an invoice to a customer there is an option to insert a link to the invoice. However the link is always placed at the end of the message and I have to cut and paste it where I want it in the message.

    Could the link not be inserted where the active cursor is instead? Saving the user the hassle of moving the link.

    Hi community, with the improved send experience in new invoicing you'll find this is now possible. 

    When you add the Online Invoice link through placeholders, you'll see it is automatically inserted wherever the cursor is placed in the email on the left and you can get an instant visual of what this looks like to your customer on the right. 😊

Currently there is no easy way to review the on/off status of invoice reminders for Customer unless they have an outstanding balance, and even then this is only on screen and not exportable, so either a way to filter the Customer list for those which have invoice reminders turned off, or just a report that can be run with a column for the reminders status (on/off and number of reminder sent) would be useful for better credit control review.

  20. Listing Time Entries in Chronological Order in Invoicing for Projects.

    As raised in support case CX0012531595 - I use projects to create invoices for clients and show time entries for all tasks - the problem is that the draft invoice seems to put all the entries in random order rather than a date order - there is no way to sort by date so that it reads chronologically for the client.
