  1. It would be good if you could go into 'Pay Employees' and next to the STP - Filed or not filed it would be good to have 'Payslips Emailed'. I have no way of checking / double checking if I have sent them.

  2. Could we have the ability to add the amount paid to a Deduction.

    (A staff member messaged me the other day asking if the $450 showing on his pay slip was the amount he had left to pay for tools deductions or the amount he had paid. After checking I saw it was the amount he had paid and he has $468.93 left to pay.)

    Q: Is there any way to add the amount he has left to pay for tools to the pay slip.

It would be great if a customer could pay more than one invoice on their account using stripe, perhaps when sending a statement there could be a link for Stripe to include all items in that statement, many of our customers have lots of small invoices that require payment at month end and it isn't practical to ask them to make individual payments

  4. If I run the payroll on say the 22.07 and then a P6 arrives effective from say 25.07 it wouldn't be updated automatically. Surely it should be updated regardless of whether the date relates to a previous period or not? This frequently happens. I can't think of an example of when you wouldn't want the tax code to update automatically?

  5. Add the option to change invoices with stripe card payments linked up so that the prompt to pay by card does not pop up when they open the invoice, but the link on the invoice stay available in the terms & payment advice section.

    My reasoning behind this is that I would rather recieve payment by bank transfer to avoid processing fees, but still want to offer the option for someone to pay by card.

  6. Changing an employee's surname due to marriage, for example, changes their details for historical payslips and all other payroll historical reports. Could a field be added perhaps that allows for 'maiden name' or 'previously known as' without disrupting historical info?

  8. 2 TOIL options, TOIL accrued & TOIL Accrued in place of Overtime

    We are unable to mark a Time in Lieu Leave pay item as exempt from accruing SGC, which is not how the ATO classifies SGC for TOIL.

    We suggest having 2 TOIL categories, so that there is the option for a TOIL where SGC is required to be paid and one wit SGC exempt:- when super is accrued on overtime.

  9. Automatically accrue RDO hours after a certain amount of hours logged.

    Job management systems push 80 hours over as a timesheet in Xero.

    We would like the total combined hours logged (ordinary hours, annual leave, RDOs, personal leave and public holidays) in excess of 76 hours to automatically be converted to RDO hours.

    E.g: If I log 80 hours ordinary time, I accrue 4 hours RDO.
    E.g: If I log 78 hours ordinary time, I accrue 2 hours RDO.
    E.g: If I log 80 hours annual leave, I accrue 4 hours RDO.
    E.g: If I log 72 hours…

  11. Where payroll is handled through Xero, please block the ability for client users to post bank transactions to Wages expense account and Superannuation expense account. It is time consuming to recode entries to the Wages payable account and Superannuation payable account. I have told some clients several times to not use the expense accounts but they still do it. If access to the expense accounts could be blocked when payroll is done through Xero, it would save a lot of time fixing the ledger accounts.

  13. Would really like the option to have a second layer to approve leave. I am a HR Manager and find it hard when the manager approves leave verbally and I do not get notified until later. I would like to see the option for HR or Finance to get a notification or get the option to approve prior to the manager so we can manage the employee leave status.

  14. It would be great for those Approving Leave, to also be able to View the Leave Calendar that is currently available to Payroll Admin users in the Overview Window. Those approving leave need to know who else is on leave for the requested period, which we currently replicate in our Email Calendars, however it would be great to take this step out, it will reduce time and eliminate errors.

  15. I have a number of clients that have employees that are paid a daily rate rather than an hourly rate. We currently can't use Xero payroll for them as the payroll needs to use hours rather than days to pay. It would be great to use Xero if there was an option to pay a daily rate rather than an hourly rate.

    Hey community, 👋 thanks for all your support on this idea, I’m pleased to let you know that this has been delivered for UK Payroll initially! It includes the ability to select the date range you’re interested in, and check boxes to either select all results or multiple. Then you can download your selection as a single PDF of multiple payslips.

    For users in AU and NZ we know this is a highly anticipated feature, however to be open this is not any immediate plans for those teams so we’ll leave this idea open. While we appreciate it doesn’t help employers needing bulk downloads, employees can be invited into the Xero Me portal to self-serve payslip collection.

  19. Our business is growing, and now we employ over 60 employees. Is it possible to have more than 50 employees listed on one page for payroll processing?
    It looks like '50' is the maximum of line items in the drop-down menue, and I have to go the the second page in order to approve all employees for the payroll.

  20. Would be great if Xero could trigger an automated (email and/or text) reminder to the superannuation payment approver 10, 5 and one days out from the superannuation due date each quarter.

    A similar reminder feature already exists in XPM for Activity Statement Lodgements - reminders can be turned on.

    Xero also has the ability to automate reminders to Customers around bill payment.

    Xero has the email and SMS of the superannaution approver already on file.

    Advantage of these reminders:

    • Super gets paid on time - we're all human and life can take over and…
