  1. Dear Sir/Madam,

    When I download custom xero template it has «PaymentImage» code.
    I would like to upload my own image different from Payment Service image to the bottom of the standard invoice same as logo, then I will not need to use a custom PDF template.

    Could you add this option?

    PDF invoices are not convenient as it requires invoice to have Sent status to print PDF. And no quick preview availiable, so no option to preview custom invoice prior sending it.
    I don't need saving every preview PDF invoice perhaps it can just open in a new tab without…

  2. Bills entered that are receipts/paid tax invoices (and accounts can't confirm they have been paid/what bank account they come from) should be able to be marked in awaiting payment with custom names instead of due dates.
    Instead of picking a past date to clear them from awaiting payment their should be an option to store it as a 'receipt' or 'direct deposit' to ensure paid invoices etc. are not double paid.

  3. When I send a paid invoice pdf to a customer I would like it to show the original currency and also the currency they paid in. I'd also like it to show the exchange rate of the payment, rather than the Xero calculated currency. At the moment this field isn't available in the docx merge fields.

  4. Draft Bills - BULK add Due date when bulk approving.
    - need to use when creating RCTI's from purchase orders. We have the option to bulk move from Purchase order to Draft Bill, but then must open each one individually to apply the due date so that they can then be approved.

    Another alternative is to add a 'due date' field on the screen when choosing to transfer the Purchase Orders to the Draft Bill page

I'm currently re-sending an invoice (manually sending a reminder) and I'd like to attach the email delivery receipt (which I have because I originally sent the invoice to me and then forwarded to the client from Outlook but that's a different set of bugfix/feature requests) as a file to the reminder. The only way to do this at the moment is to back out of the invoice sending screen, attach it to the original invoice and then send the invoice with the attachments both old and new.

    Aaah I see, thanks for the extra detail, Freya. Appreciate where you're coming from. With a few other items of focus for the team in this space atm, I do want to be open that there aren't any plans atm, but we'll track the interest here, I'll make sure this extra detail gets back to the team, and can share if there is any change to update you on, here.

  6. Please make the “Save Button” omnipresent, so it hovers/tracks the page and wherever the user is working, while building Quotes & Invoices...

    I keep having to scroll up to the very top of the page, in order to hit “Save” - and found when moving too fast, i can accidentally skip back, losing changes, and then having to start again.

  8. can you make the selection of multiple files possible when adding images to invoices please. i have to navigate to my phones picture folder when i am invoicing out my expenses for the month. i have to attach copies of my receipts to the invoice and its painful only being able to add them one at a time.

  9. When a client opens an invoice or quote Xero shows the IP address of whom ever opened it and the time it was opened. This is especially helpful when multiple people have access to the invoices. It also shows that the client did in fact see the invoice especially when they claim they haven't. Handy tool for chasing payment

    We appreciate your feedback on how we could improve new invoicing, and the details that would help you track when a customers has viewed your invoice. While recording I.P. address of when a user opens an invoice or quote you’ve sent isn’t in the plans right now, we’re continuing development in this space and our product teams would like to engage you all here to get a deepened sense of our invoicing users, for future improvements.   10. Current invoice template (as of 26 July 2023) does not allow to automatically populate the customer's VAT number nor make reference to reverse charge, as is required by Council Directive 2006/112/EC of 28 November 2006 on the common system of value added tax, Section 4 "Content of invoices", Article 226, paragraphs (4) and (11).

    Current template means we need to remember to fit in those details in the services description since there is no way to add a note on the invoice itself.

  11. When a Xero customer is creating an invoice for another Xero customer - why not allow this to automatically show up in the Bills section, if the receiver agrees to this. Would save a heap of time and coding.

    Hi team, sorry we have not engaged with this idea before now. I'm pleased to confirm that this idea is already a feature within Xero.

    If a user is in an eInovicing region(AU, NZ or UK) and has registered to receive eInvoices, once you add them as the Contact to your invoice the option to 'Send as an eInvoice' will appear.

    For non-eInvoicing regions the option to send via the Xero network is available and your customer will be able to share their Xero network key with you to send with this option - This option is currently available from the Awaiting Payments list screen, however we're currently developing the ability to send with the Xero Network from within an invoice and you can stay updated on this delivery here.

  12. It would be great if the Reference field was moved to the body of the sales invoice so that you could add item line referencing with the option to enable the referencing to print on the sales invoice.

    For example, a plumbing business completes work for a customer that has multiple rental properties. If the reference field was in the body of the sales invoice, they could add the applicable property address here so that they and the customer could differentiate what work was completed at each property for the invoiced period.

    If this is the common selection for due date you can set this up as a Default in your Invoice Settings, Denise. It's also possible to set this up as a default for individual contacts if you'd prefer too. 🙂

    Alternatively, you might find it handy to use the shortcut when entering your invoices. You can simply type +10 in the due date field and it will set the date to 10 days after the Invoice Issue date.

  15. It would be useful to be able to send an email to a customer xx days after an invoice is paid.

    This could be used for all sorts of things from offering discounts on new orders to reminding them to leave a review for your service. A bit more of a CRM style feature but would help with business workflow and keeping actions in one place.

    Thanks for sharing this great idea for improving efficiency in reports.

    For anyone looking to achieve this now, you can view transactions across all time by selecting a custom date range in your reports. By setting the start date to your organisation's first transaction date and the end date to today, you can get a full historical view of your data.

    We see the value in your suggestion to add a preset 'All Time' or 'All Dates' option, which would make this process a faster, one-click action.

  17. Ability to delete invoices permanently in Xero.

  18. Please change the location of the pop up message "default contacts have been applied". When creating a new invoice, the pop up message appears in the bottom left, but I'm trying to look at my contact info and enter data. The pop up box lingers too long and covers the information I need to enter, interfering with the data entry! This is frustrating every time when creating multiple invoices and I have to "x" the pop up message away each time, which then causes extra steps and takes longer. Data entry is all about efficiency and less steps/clicks..you have created…

  19. Budget Variance Report for 12 months.

    Currently the budget variance report is restricted within a selected date range. If we are able to customize the budget variance for the below two options:

    Option 1: If there is an option to run the variance report for previous financial year for the 12 individual month with the actual and budget variance.

    Option 2: For current Financial Year, if there is an option to customize the monthly actual and budget variance report including the budget for the reminder of 11 months.

  20. Project invoicing to show time in minutes/hours for time entries
    This is a requirement of many of our customers. Eg time sent 30 mins shows as 0.5 on invoice. We need a column that shows time for the task time enry. At present we need to manually type 30 mins in the task description to meet customer invoicing requirements.
