    1. Purchase orders reset to 'include GST' ever time you start a new PO. Why does it not just remember the last setting like invoicing does. (Or an option to lock it to a setting)

    2. Ability to add more information to invoices like customers phone number or email. It's an option. Saves warehouse staff or anyone having to look up the information. (At this time I use the country for the phone number and contact for the email)

  3. Layout of invoices with subtotal breakdowns for various VAT rates. To be able to present multiple subtotal amounts before various types of VAT are applied to the invoice. I have included an altered pdf file as an example of what you would want to see on the invoice.

  4. In the new reports you can run a report, by supplier, of invoices that are due and planned to be paid, which is great. There is a differentiation between due and planned in both screen detail and reporting. The schuduled/planning option enables users or managers to plan which invoices they wish to pay either by viewing on Xero or running in a report. However, the reporting option puts the two together by adding in an invoice wiht the same due date, if a planned date has not been entered. This means that invoices not scheduled/planned to be paid are included…

  6. Hi,

    I recently made the error of emailing a draft invoice to a customer by accident. Not sure how i managed to do it - maybe too many drinks whilst completing the invoicing :) haha

    But it occurred to me that there should be a way or an option to block the sending of draft invoices. Or even a prompt when you try to send it reminding you it's still a draft invoice. I mean whats the point of approving invoices if you can send out the draft's anyway??

    Appreciate it's been quite some time since we last updated this idea, everyone.


    I wanted to share some of the change that's come through with new invoicing, specifically around the approve and send process, which may now accommodate some of the interest in the idea here.


    Approve and Send have been incorporated in new invoicing, so this saves you a bit of time.


    Rather than needing to complete 2 separate actions (1. Approve the invoice 2. Send the invoice) this has all become one flow, from a draft invoice if you select 'Send' this'll auto approve the invoice in Xero.


    A caveat to this is where you have a Credit Limit set up and it's been exceeded - Xero'll grey out the option to Send.


    At this time in, we don't have plans for adding further blocks or warnings when sending invoices. 


    We'll keep our eyes on this idea though…

  7. It would be really useful if there was an options to tag or colour code invoices in the list view, so that at a glance we could see invoices grouped together for any given reason.

    For example most of my invoices are paid via direct debit, so I'd love a way to tag/colour code the invoices that have not yet signed up for the debit system, so that I can see at a glance how many I am still missing and who I need to follow up on.

    Hi community, some time passed since our last update in the thread here we do want to return and share - while our product teams explored possibilities for how we might represent Purchase Orders in Projects research has confirmed that there is underlying work needed to the platform Purchase Orders are built on before we can achieve any good outcomes of your needs here.
    We have enthusiasm and a close eye remaining on the support for this, but want to be honest that this is not something that we’ll be able to focus our attentions on in the near future.
    Once we have completed work first needed in the Purchase Orders space we can reassess how to integrate purchase Orders into Projects and will update you all of steps forward, here.

  9. There is no functionality in Xero to 'automatically' send invoices from Xero to Xero via the network key. Is this something that you could look into?

  10. Keep the Xero Classic Look everyone preferred.

    The design of the New Invoicing, Bills and Fixed Assets pages are sadly reminiscent of an excel spreadsheet.

    One of the enjoyments of the Xero software compared to its competitors are the fresh, clean pages that make it inviting to use. When changing to new function, Xero has changed its design elements and is missing the 'attractiveness' that has been part of Xero's signature branding.

    Specifically black text, flat checkboxes, grey cell borders and grey column headers makes it feel like an outdated 1990s program.

    Appreciate your feedback here, and I've shared this back with our teams at Xero. We want to be upfront that as we continue to develop Xero products and features and update technology, this will ultimately result in some change to designs, actions and flows.

    As we make decisions around new experiences we're keeping customers front of mind. Our product teams regularly review feedback and consider asks from our community in product ideas.     It sounds like you're looking to create supplier bills in bulk. If so, you can do this by importing them using a CSV template, which you can download from the 'Purchases overview' screen in Xero.

  12. In the account transactions report, the reference for batch deposits (of invoices) should be the payment reference.

    Currently, the individual invoice numbers are presented for batch deposits when you run account transactions.

  14. It would be great if a column could be added to either the Aged Receivables Report or the Receivable Invoice Detail Report that shows the number of days the invoice is overdue by.

    The number of days an invoice is overdue by can be seen on the 'Awaiting Payment' tab in the invoice section in Xero, but even on this part the information cannot be exported.

  15. Previously, in old "Customer Invoice Report" there was a feature under "Dates" where we could select "ANY" which allowed Invoices created outside of your selected date range to be included in your report.
    This seems to be no longer available in the new "Receivable Invoice Report" and any invoices created outside of your selected date range (but paid within that date range) won't show up on the report.
    You can expand your date range but this has potential to re-list paid invoices from previous reports.
    Can "ANY' be added as an option to Dates as it was in previous version?

    Hey community, 👋 thanks for all your support on this idea, and apologies for the late update here but I'm switching this idea across to delivered!

    Our Customer Invoice Activity report can now be filtered to include only certain transactions types 🎉 To show just the invoices and payments, you can filter the Source by Receivable Invoices and Receivable Payments.

  18. Resend a "Repeating Invoice"
    A repeating invoice contained an error, which we have already corrected, but I don't see any way/opc to resend the email with the corrected rep invoice.

    What worked for me was switching to classic mode, where I was able to modify and resend that invoice.

    I think it's important that you add those options to your new look before you change it, because they are necessary in my opinion.

    Hi Chris, you can resend an invoice that has been created from a repeating template by opening the invoice in the Awaiting Payment tab and clicking the 3 dots in the top right above the invoice where you'll see an option to Email.

  19. On the contacts page you can see the bills and the value, it will either appear with the value in the paid column or the due column unless it has been allocated against a credit. Any allocated credit notes and the invoices they have been allocated to appear as £0.00 in the paid and due column. Now as we have to allocate the credits in order to include them in a bulk payment (a completely pointless time consuming exercise still not addressed by XERO! but lets not get side tracked by another basic function missing) the fact the values are…
