  2. Set a particular contact field (e.g. account number) as a mandatory field, so that an invoice cannot be issued without that field having been added to the customer account.

  3. Xero Expenses - In multicurrency expenses there is currently no ability to add more than one image/PDF to an expenses claim.
    We have many employees who travel for long periods of time or for certain jobs and need to be able to submit one large expense claim with multiple line items and also provide a photo/PDF of receipts for each of these items. But currently you can only upload one image per expense claim.

    On top of this there is no ability to set a different currency as the default currency for specifics employees which would be a helpful feature

  4. Currently if termination date falls in the middle of a pay cycle, the final pay run will not calculate the staff pay pro rata and therefore payroll admin has to manually update the payslip. Please include this feature so Xero constructs the payslip taking into consideration the termination date whilst still using the employee card details (rates, deductions etc etc).

  5. Currently: In new invoicing we are provided with suggested items when completing fields such as "To:".
    Using Enter at this points selects that highlighted suggestion, but using Tab ignores the highlighted item.

    Request: Enable Tab to be used in new invoicing to confirm a highlighted selection. The same function as Enter currently provides within this context.
    Tab is an active keyboard option in other areas of Xero such as Bank Reconciliations so this would keep the UI more consistent.

    Hi team, we recently made a change to the tabbing behaviour, so now when you tab to a field and highlight an option, tabbing to the next field will hold the selection that was highlighted.

    For example pressing Tab in the 'To' field will hold the highlighted contact, and move you onto the 'Issue date' field.

  6. To show the invoice line detail in project reporting rather than a consolidated invoice line.

    You have to allocate each individual line on the invoice to a project but on the project report it consolidates to just one line which doesn't make sense when you put the level of detail at the invoice that it doesn't pull through that detail to the project reporting.

    This isn't something we have planned at present but will get a sense of the appetite here and let you know if there's any change. 

  11. Can we drill down into the history lines by date to see the actual changes/edits or whatever was done for individual invoices? This would enable a clearer picture for future scrutiny.
    My client couldn't work out what had been done and neither could I . All the history said was 'edited' by an employee.

  12. When a client opens an invoice or quote Xero shows the IP address of whom ever opened it and the time it was opened. This is especially helpful when multiple people have access to the invoices. It also shows that the client did in fact see the invoice especially when they claim they haven't. Handy tool for chasing payment

    We appreciate your feedback on how we could improve new invoicing, and the details that would help you track when a customers has viewed your invoice. While recording I.P. address of when a user opens an invoice or quote you’ve sent isn’t in the plans right now, we’re continuing development in this space and our product teams would like to engage you all here to get a deepened sense of our invoicing users, for future improvements.   13. Make the functionality of quotes similar to invoices, e.g. import quotes, bulk approve quotes, bulk send quotes. I recently had to send out 417 quotes for the same thing and they had to all be done individually which was extremely time consuming. If they had been invoices, I could've imported them on a spreadsheet, approved them all at once and sent them all at once. Instead each one had to be done individually.

    Appreciate your liking to invoices in Xero, Angela. Each functionality would need to be considered in isolation so I've changed the title of your idea here for bulk sending.

    We don't have any direct plans for this right now, but we'll begin to get a sense of the interest and keep you updated of any change, here.

    You'll find an existing idea for import/export of quotes that you may like to join as well. If there's any other feature like this that you'd like to see welcome to start another idea. 🙂

  14. Hi, It would be great to see customers who exceeded their credit limits on the dashboard. We push sales invoices from third-party app therefore we don't see alerts if someone has no credit limit left. If we could see a list on the dashboard we could act immediately. Thanks

  17. We print packing slips for every invoice we print, since the changes xero has made it has added another step in out process, we are all about streamlining our processes. We would like to revert back to the old way as this is adding time and is also adding more unnecessary files to our computer system. please help us to streamline this process again as the current system doesn`t work for us

  18. We use a a CRM system to create our invoice which is then linked to XERO. On our CRM system it itemised the components of the invoice this is also transferred. Is there a way on the xero invoice that this feature is not transferred so that the invoice only shows description and the total value of the job, ie NET, VAT GROSS.
    We do not want the client to see the full breakdown.

    We send statements to our clients which has a link to the invoice due to the issues of the itemised invoice our clients can see this…

    Hi Dawn, this is possible with the use of an advanced branding theme. Using the DocX template you can customise the template to remove merge fields that you don't want to be shown to your customer.

    Once set up as you like you'll want to upload the template to your branding theme in Xero, and then apply to contacts or to any individual invoices you'd like this template used.

  19. Having recently created a custom invoice template for our business I wanted to include a merge field for payment terms (e.g. "30 days form date of invoice") next to the invoice due date field. Unfortunately customer payment terms, even though a data field in the contact record, is not available to incorporate in a customer invoice template. In my opinion this would be a useful addition to the custom invoice functionality.

  20. I am having problems with Xero automatically changing my due by date when I adjust the invoice date. I found a previous post where someone had the same problem and it was marked as resolved. But that is not the case. We often draft invoices for a customer - with carefully calculated due dates based on the service to be performed. When I go back to issue and approve the invoice - the invoice date changes but I want the due date to stay the same. I have to recalculate now as Xero changes it. Can this be fixed -…
