  1. When I am logged-in to Xero as a user with "Invoice only" and "only create drafts" permissions, it is my understanding that this user should not be able to create new invoice items or see menu options for creating new items. However, it appears this user can see this menu option when adding a line item to an invoice and attempt to create a new item, leading to an ambiguous error message.

  3. Right now, the dashboard shows "Loading your transactions" for bank accounts far too often and for far too long. The dashboard should always show the current state of the user's accounts, not what is essentially an indeterminate progress bar. It would be more user-friendly to remove the message entirely because it doesn't give users any actionable information. If new transactions come in while the user is doing things, simply update the dashboard to indicate that there are new transactions to reconcile, even if the user just finished reconciling what was there before.

  4. completing a cert IV in accounting and bookkeeping you have to become a user for approximately 10 different companies. Therefore once you have finished your course they sit in your My Xero, the only way to remove yourself as a user it to do each one, can you have an option to remove yourself as a user for multiple companies in one step.

    Hi team, thank you for sharing back with us on how providing a bulk tools to remove users from an organisation would be helpful.

    Being upfront this isn't something we have plans for developing right now but are continuing to watch interest in this idea grow. We will share if there are any updates.

  5. Would like to be able to add users with only access to invoicing, without them seeing any other part of Xero. This would be a huge benefit so I can have team members invoice customers without seeing company financials.

  6. I think it would be great to have a screen to manage notifications settings.
    This could present a long list of notifications for different things (e.g. for me the important ones are activity statement due soon, STP filing overdue).
    For each item, the user could select if they want it active, how they want to be notified (e.g. header line, or in a widget), and whether to be emailed (very helpful for people like me who only log in once or twice a week and do a days work).

  7. add specific tiles to xero Dashboard from Business Snapshot.

    I would like on my dashboard 3 main tiles
    1. Revenue by month, 3 mths 6 and 12 months shown as options
    2. Expenses the same
    3. Financial Position this year by Rev, Expenses & Profit.
    Is this doeable???

  8. It is too easy currently to click back/undo one too many times and end up inadvertently posting into a different organisation from the one you were working on.

    I was showing a colleague how to do something in the Demo company, but I clicked back too many times and ended up making my dummy postings into a client's organisation instead.

    For accountants and bookkeepers who have multiple clients and multiple transactions to post, this could create a lot of unnecessary work that can easily be avoided by some kind of indication that you are changing organisation.

    Hi team, we understand wanting more of an indicator when you're entering data in the demo org, and with our new navigation experience you'll now have a banner at the top of the screen to let you know that you're in the demo company to avoid wasting time of data entry that should be in your actual org.

    We want to be upfront that this banner is only applicable for the demo company, so not exactly what is being asked in this idea but hope it goes some way to helping in scenarios like has been shared here.🙏

  9. It would be nice if My Xero could allow sorting by the number of unreconciled transactions. Being able to sort by the number of comments would be nice too

    Hi Christine, just making sure I understand what you'd like to see here. Would this be to sort all organisations you have access to from your My Xero page ordered by the # of unreconciled items ?

  10. When the screen locks it would be helpful to have the option just to logout. Currently if you have timed out but finished working on Xero you actually have to login just to be able to log out which is a waste of time.

    Appreciate the feedback here. While we don't have plans for adding a button to instantly logout from this inactivity setting we will keep watching interest in this idea grow and share if any changes are planned.

  12. Have a designated advisor / subscriber have the ability to remove multi factor authentication from a user so that a new method can be set up by the user.

    Purpose: For those businesses that have operators which are not tech savy, having either the subscriber or the advisor who holds a professional membership / qualification, who have passed ID verification processes, let the designated person have the ability to toggle off multi factor authentication so that the user and re set up their authentication process so that when their phone is lost or stolen and their alternative entry points don't…

  13. Is there a way that we could see the names of opened Tabs so that we could see the name of what we are working on such as Balance Sheet instead of seeing Xero | Balance Sheet. When we open HST/HST returns, it shows GST/HST Returns which is great.
    We know we are with in Xero. If Xero has to show up, it could be added to the end of the Tab heading. This way, opened Tabs would be a breeze to drag in alphabetical order. This would also facilitate working with Workona resources to put Tabs in alphabetical order.

  14. This idea has been raised again and again but XERO isn't listening!!!

    The demo company is a great idea, but it makes no sense to automatically reload all the "duff" data every 30 days.

    It's VERY simple to achieve a very useful and flexible feature, by....
    1) Be able to clear all the data in the Demo Company
    2) Make the 30 day reload of useless data optional
    3) Enable cloning of an existing organisation

    We need to be able to test imports, features etc. and be able to return the "demo company" to EMPTY and if required to restore…

  15. Hi, on the mobile app, it would be really helpful, if when reconciling bank entries, when xero comes uip with its "suggestion", that is also displays the VAT line. Saves having to go into the suggeestion edit and check VAT is applied correclty

    Hi Ray, we understand how helpful it'd be to see the VAT/tax line directly on the automated reconciliation suggestion in the Xero Accounting mobile app. Currently, the mobile reconciliation suggestion card doesn’t show the tax line, which means extra taps and added steps.

    This idea is now in the Gaining Support stage. Your votes and comments help us understand how important this feature is to the wider Xero community and guide our product team’s priorities.

  16. Audit trail of logins to Xero - there seems to be a series of different visual aids and short screen reports showing when a user last logged in, however from an audit perspective, it would be ideal to have a report that can be run for set periods showing when users have logged in. The information to run this type of report is there from the History and Notes report and the Assurance Dashboard. However a report that shows a time/date stamp would be ideal as evidence in cases of fraud/performance management

    Hi team, we appreciate the feedback and why you'd like to be able to look at history of logins for an organisation.

    Right now, while not a full audit trail like you're after here there is the Assurance Dashboard where you can view User Activity to see what actions users within an org have been taking.

    As many will know the History & notes report will also give you deeper insight into some of the actions made by users across your org.

    Being open this isn't something we have immediate plans for developing but will continue to keep a close pulse on this idea here and support it continues to receive. If there are any updates we will share.

  17. It would be nice to be able to give access to the History and Notes to Standard users. Right now it's only visible for Advisors while I believe this is a feature that could be useful to Standard users as well.

  18. Hi, It would be great to see customers who exceeded their credit limits on the dashboard. We push sales invoices from third-party app therefore we don't see alerts if someone has no credit limit left. If we could see a list on the dashboard we could act immediately. Thanks

  19. We wish to let some of our users have access to purchase orders, raising & viewing etc.

    Currently if we give them access to purchase orders it also lets them see supplier balances and also click into the supplier and therefore into the accounts i.e invoices etc.

    We would like our staff to just see the purchase orders and raise purchase orders but not have access to anything else.

  20. Our bookkeeper needs an audit file (IAF) to make our annual report. Currently downloading an IAF file is only possible for Singapore clients and not for Xero Global clients. Would be very useful if this would be available for everybody.
