  1. I’d like to propose a “view-only” feature that would be fully GDPR-compliant and suitable for organisations that manage sensitive financial information—such as block management companies handling residents’ funds.

    The idea is to allow every shareholder or resident to view the accounts and understand where money is being spent, while ensuring that all personal data is hidden. For example, where an individual apartment appears in the ledger, identifying information would be removed.   2. XERO is the only system I know which does not automatically add the hyphen between the numbers. e.g. 00-00-00 Instead XERO goes 000000 and you have to add 2 hyphens. This would just be nice!

  3. Since its introduction, the Xero app has had a significantly positive impact on my clients, enhancing their overall accounting experience and improving efficiency in managing their finances. I greatly appreciate the value the platform continues to provide.

    However, I would like to raise a concern regarding the absence of the demo company feature on the Xero mobile application. Currently, the demo company is only accessible via the web-based platform, which presents a challenge when demonstrating the app’s capabilities to prospective clients using mobile devices.

  4. When I login to Xero, I enter my email address and password and am taken to the second page (MFA).

    I'm then asked for the authenticator code, but I have to click into the field to enter the code.

    Xero knows that there is an almost 100% likelihood that the first (and only) thing I am going to do on that page is enter the MFA code.

    Xero should automatically have the cursor in that field so that I can type the code without clicking into the field.

    Thanks for the continued support and feedback shared here, everyone. Totally appreciate wanting to save clicks and improve the efficiency of logging in to use Xero.

    Our product team have reviewed this and it's something they'd like to take a closer look into longer term, however isn't roadmapped just yet.

    As soon as there's any progress to update you of I will share with you all.

  5. Add the ability for Managers to approve bank account details for contacts. Ie the Bookkeeper can enter in & change the suppliers bank account details in Xero, but the manager can then go an approve it.

  6. I would like a link to the Xero portal where tax documents are sent for e-signing. Rather than having to find an email with the link to the Xero portal to e-sign tax documents, it would be helpful for clients to be able to simply click a link within Xero to go back to the Xero portal and see past signed documents or anything that is waiting to be signed.

  8. Currently Product Idea notifications are either enabled or disabled.

    Which means I get a ridiculous amount of emails for every single product idea I've ever commented or voted on. And given Xero's inability to actually resolve any of these issues, the number of notifications is going up and up.

    Currently, because of the amount of complaints about the new homepage my inbox is full every morning.

    I don't want any more notifications reminding me how bad the new home page is. However, I do want notifications on a lot of the other 'Product Ideas' that I am following.

    Totally get it's still round about to the direct ask you have here, however did you know it's now possible to add a new tracking option as you enter an invoice?

    Maybe this could dave you from having to go to the Tracing Settings before entering your invoice?

    Either way we'll start to track the interest from others in having a quick access link for this, here.

  10. In search since I've used Xero, when searching for an Invoice Number - results would appear and a coloured box with the status - red for Awaiting Payment, and green for Paid. A handy visual meaning I didn't have to actually read the status.
    Now in the new Search - these colours have disappeared. Why? I now have to scan up and down and actually read what it says without my visual guide.   11. In the general search field at the top right, it would be very helpful if the search also work with a space or a few spaces at the beginning. Because if I copy an invoice number in the field I always have to delete the spaces first before the search works - it's annoying.

  12. I am looking to restrict staff members from accessing Xero on unauthorised devices. This will ensure that only company issued devices are used to access Xero. Could Xero please consider this as a quick win?

    Thanks for raising this with us Nuha, we can see how restricting Staff access on unauthorised devices might be helpful for businesses. While this is currently not possible, we can open this idea up to the Xero community so other users who would like to see this change can also share their thoughts.   14. I am a Xero user (not Practice Hub/XeroHQ) with user access to 33 Xero files. Each day I need to go into each individual Xero file if I want to check what Bills are coming due or outstanding sales invoices. Would it be possible to improve the My Xero screen which shows all the Xero files I have access to to be more like a dashboard showing what is outstanding/due and what tasks are needed across all Xero files. Thanks :)

We understand that a single view showing key items like outstanding invoices, upcoming bills, and unreconciled transactions across all your organisations could make it easier to prioritise work and keep on top of daily tasks without switching organisations.

  15. It would be helpful to us if we could enter a bill into Xero, submit it, and then have the option to copy all the line details of that bill to an invoice, using the Sell Price in Products and Services (if they exist as items in the catalogue).

    Some of our customer transactions are literal 'we buy in, add mark-up, and sell on' and we currently have to enter both a bill and a separate invoice to achieve this. Being able to take a bill and copy it to a draft invoice, ready for adjustments, would be very useful…

  16. The Organisation settings page should have collapsible headings, similar to the Reports page, for clear, concise, and faster access to settings.

    Currently, the new look of the organisation settings page is a large step backwards. It is difficult to quickly find and select a setting area that is not part of the shortcut menu options in the new look homepage/menu rollout.

    The current organisation settings page is an exercise in excessive scrolling abilities to find the setting you need to access quickly.

  17. I think the new menu bar is great as its closer to the original layout from about 9-10 years ago.

    But super annoying that I can only access Products & Services via Sales.

    All our purchasing is run through Xero, all our sales is run via external POS that we import summary csv, not detail, so no products or services.

    Seeing as the new navigation bar is already quite full and having a separate productions option is not visually viable, would it not make sense to have the Products and Services link feature in both Sales & Purchases?

  18. Could the Demo Company please be updated first when new features are being rolled out. Often want to test how a new feature works (eg the current Investment Boost in Fixed Assets) or take the Staff through training on the new features, without having to do this in a Client's live data.
    If the Demo Company can have the features first, then can do testing and training of staff before see in the Client's live data.

  19. Create a "widget" with a customizable icon shortcuts to have it where you can click on one button and get you to where you need to go instead of navigation through menus. Have a way to only show which icons appear. For me, it would be "invoices, expenses, refunds, chart of accounts, and inventory". See the attached mock up of what I'm talking about. It would be so nice to have shortcuts right there on the homepage.

    Appreciate your feedback and great visual understanding with your mockup there, Chris. Totally get it's not exactly what you're suggesting here but just as a highlight around shortcuts there are a few that can be used anywhere in Xero to help you quickly navigate to some features such as '/a' to get to the all bank accounts screen, or '/e' to go to all employees 😊

    We'll get a sense of interest building for homepage icons through your idea here.

When will the ability to add a shortcut to the settings like "tracking category" and "Fixed Assets" to the "accounting" dropdown menu be re-activated like you could do with the old task bar, or is this another case of "we don't care about our customers bookkeeper's productivity being lost" as all the other dropdown menus appear to have all the shortcuts?

    Thanks for your feedback on navigation shortcuts. We appreciate you explaining how important quick access to Tracking Categories and Fixed Assets is for your workflow. You should see Fixed Assets within the Accounting menu already. However, you are correct that accessing Tracking Categories requires an additional click and are shown under the Accounting Settings option.
