  1. There's an inconsistency between different parts Xero systems. For example:

    New Invoicing has Autosave.
    New Contacts require us to use the Save button.

    Reports:
    Accounts receivable reports refer to Invoices.
    Accounts Payable reports ALSO refer to Invoices ... Xero terminology for Payables is Bills.

    Is there a reason for these differences and lack of consistency across the Xero platforms?

  2. Add an additional Update button to the bottom of Account Transactions report page (or any screen with an update button). Right next to the Save As and Import buttons would be excellent.

  3. The PST bill that is generated from the report should included the entire PST collected and a second line to the PST commission.

  4. We run multiple branches out of one Xero ledger. We find the income and expenses by contact report very handy to track sales data, however it would be much more useful if we were able to filter by tracking catagory (for our instance we track branch locaiton).

    Hi Troy, when you say do the GST are there any specific actions that you'd find most handy to be able to do from the app? E.g publish or export a return, file GST with IR, edit GST Details 

    While we don't have any plans for this atm, it'd be good to get more detail to be able to share back with our team on this. 

  6. Ability to create custom formulas in reporting, specifically to be able to (+) some accounts and (-) others. Support referred to this as custom complex formulas, but it is a simple formula. We just need to be able to customize them.

  8. GST Audit Report Page number selection to also appear at the top of the screen as well as the bottom of the screen. This would be beneficial to the user so they do not have to scroll down to the bottom of the screen to select what page they wish to review/go to. saving time for the end-user.

    Aaah yes I get what you mean, thanks for coming back to clarify for me, Kevin. We'll leave the idea here to gather interest.

    While this isn't something we have plans for atm, I'll update if there is any change around this to share.

  10. Provide the ability to schedule requesting on a daily basis the EFT Reconciliation reports in XPM, currently being a manual request locked behind Business settings permissions.
    Provide also the resulting reports in either a Custom Reports area or standard reports so admin staff without the Business Settings permissions can view the ATO EFT reconciliation reports, filtered by date and Tax Agent Number. Possibly add a permission to view these reports as a separate permission.

    Thanks for supporting and sharing with us how scheduling of reports could enhance your workflow. While we don't have immediate plans for this feature, we have a pulse on the ideas for this in community here and will be sure to update if there's any change to automate these for you.

  11. I would suggest that Xero should provide direct debits from all your accounts in one report.

    Hi Komal, just to make sur we understand the idea here properly. When you say you'd like a report of all direct debits, is this where you've made a direct debit payment for bills? Or where you have customers that may be on direct debit payments with your business? 

  12. We need more flexibility in depreciation schedules to add Second Hand Capital Works Assets for rental properties.
    When you buy a second hand rental property, the capital allowances available under Div 43 needs to be calculated on the original cost, however, the total amount remaining to be claimed will be less than this original amount. Fixed Assets in Xero does not currently allow for this. We need to calculate the depreciation on a straight line basis based on the original cost, not what we paid for it and we need to be able to include an opening written down value,…

  14. Like Sage I would like every item to have the VAT return Date and month it was recorded on attached to it and if/when it was adjusted which return the adjustment was submitted on as well.

  15. Our company are making use of the "personal money" and "company money" options to submit their expense claims. There is a report to track cost paid with personal money but no report to track cost paid with the company money. This report will be critical for commission calculations.

    Hi Hiten, company money transactions are recorded in the organisation as Spend money. You could run the Account Transactions report for your bank accounts, and add a filter for, or group the report by source to only see spend money transactions.

    In terms of commissions, we don't have a specific feature for tracking this however you could use Tracking in Xero to set up a Tracking category and each of the employees as a tracking option on that category. This way when they are entering company money transactions you could track it back to the employee by filtering by that tracking option.

  16. We would like the ability to transfer a GST refund to another tax payer. It can be done if we file online at IR and we would like Xero's GST return to file automatically with this feature. We have associated groups and have refunds that we want to offset against another tax payers GST to pay.

  18. Would like to add the feature to change the depreciation rate of an asset (not retrospectively) for the book value. would assist in writing off remaining balance of assets and the like. (Xero AU)

  20. The New GST layout needs to keep the "Late Claims" separate on the transaction details report. Lumping them all together with income or expense and then the totals don't tie into the numbers on the face of the GST return is frustrating. I can see you can filter by "late claims" but we don't want to have to export and manipulate the data when sending the documents to clients.

    It doesn't make sense that the detailed transaction report doesn't match the face of the GST return without manipulating

    Thank you for your feedback on the changes for NZ GST returns here, everyone. Late Claims display in the body of the return, to review them. If you click on this the Transaction tab will open and to toggle Late claims on and off, select the 'More' option.

    Late claims have been separated into their own section in the Transactions tab, and if needed you can also use the Filter to choose to only view Late Claims. We'll soon be updating the export to PDF to allow late claims to be excluded.

    We want to be open that we don't have plans for separating these back into their own tab and will close this idea. We still very much appreciate your feedback and will continue to iterate on this overtime to make filling and filing GST for an organisation simpler and more efficient.
